#FreeStacy: Email to My Samoan Lawyer: Taylor Swift Is Decadent and Depraved
Posted on | February 27, 2016 | 48 Comments
Regular readers know Bert the Samoan Lawyer, an old college buddy of mine who is now one of the leading Asian/Pacific-American attorneys in Alabama. Some people say Bert doesn’t look Samoan, but if Shaun King is black, Bert is Samoan, and he could sue you for saying otherwise. It might even be defamation to call a Samoan “white,” no matter how pale he may be, and Bert has keen legal skills that strike fear in the hearts of potential defendants. No one would dare insult Bert by calling him a cracker, and if America ever elects another Republican president, I’m certain Senator Sessions will suggest Bert as a Supreme Court nominee, right after I get that ambassadorship to Vanuatu. But I digress . . .
The #FreeStacy insanity led my old friend to send me an email today:
Totally anecdotal, but I’ve noticed that no matter how many times I visit wattsupwiththat.com, Google Now never puts anything from that site into my “stories to read.” Contrast that to I once clicked on a story about Taylor Swift because my daughter is a huge fan and now she is in my feed constantly. Also, Salon, Slate and Huffpo are always there in abundance even though I never click them.
Also notably absent despite multiple daily visits: theothermccain.
Fear and Loathing in the Information Age, so to speak. The whole world has gone crazy, I’m the subject of international news, and Google is conspiring to keep people from reading my blog. This makes perfect sense in 2016, you see, that someone like me would become a First Amendment cause célèbre, a 21st-century Dreyfuss. Was this my career goal when I was a long-haired rock-and-roll freak circa 1983? Of course not. Nobody could ever possibly plan anything as crazy as my life, even if they wanted to, which no sane person ever would. So while the #FreeStacy hashtag campaign continues, I have had some communications with leading legal minds who have become interested in the free-speech issues involved. I’m not the litigious sort, you understand, but some of my lawyer friends are the type who would be happy to go to federal court to seek an emergency restraining order first thing Monday morning, if I just gave the word. But that’s not how I roll. My correspondence with Bert the Samoan Lawyer was just two old college buddies talking. Here’s what I replied:
Well, my Samoan friend, did you ever think back in the day that my gonzo methods would have such consequences as this? As I told my kids, “Congratulations, your Dad is a hashtag.” Of course, the #FreeStacy hashtag won’t autocomplete — although the bogus misspelled version does. No “e” in Stacy, as you know, and “blah blah girl’s name blah blah,” said every idiot who wanted to start a fight on the elementary school playground. When the going gets weird, the weirdos get me banned from Twitter.
Do I want to describe my experiences with Google? Not in writing. The NSA and DHS will have to monitor my phone calls if they want that information. Nixon was a piker compared to these Obama goons, and I’ll bet you $20 Sidney Blumenthal has Jack Dorsey on speed-dial.
Face it, Bert, we live in an Age of Fear and, as a concerned father myself, I have to warn you that Taylor Swift is down for The Agenda. Every feminist on Tumblr is certain that Taylor is dating lesbian supermodel Karlie Kloss. As a Neutral Objective Journalist, of course, I’d have to see video proof before I’d believe that bizarre rumor, but if Cara Delevingne can be gay, everybody is gay, and in 2016, any self-respecting feminist would be embarrassed to admit she is heterosexual. These young fellows can’t get their mojo working and, therefore, phallocentric domination is in a steep decline. Oh, what wonderful jargon! But I digress . . .
If your daughter is a Taylor Swift fan, you may need to intervene, Bert. A sort of “tough love” approach is recommended. Seize her laptop and cellphone and demand passwords for every app she’s got. And if she’s on Tumblr? Bad news, pal — no grandkids for you. Tumblr might as well be called the Crazy Cat Lady Training Academy. Every teenage girl on Tumblr has a mental illness (anxiety, depression, PTSD) and is either a pansexual genderqueer or a nonbinary lesbian. Dye your hair green, pierce your nose, get more tattoos than a sailor and tell your Mom that your pronouns are “xe” and “xer.” This is what it means to be a feminist in 2016, a dystopian nightmare meets pornographic fantasy. If Orwell were writing “1984” now, it would begin: “Dear Penthouse Forum …”

Taylor Swift Is Decadent and Depraved. Seriously, Bert, keep your kids away from those degenerate showbiz freaks. You never know what kind of insanity kids will stumble into, if you let them wander around unsupervised in the Internet sewer. Just a few weeks ago, I had a long phone conversation with a fellow whose daughter turned 18, announced she was transgender, repudiated her parents as hateful bigots, and moved to another state where she was able to get free testosterone “treatment” from a Planned Parenthood clinic. Could either of us have imagined such a thing in 1983? Hell, I never could have hallucinated anything that crazy when I was tripping out on psilocybin in ’79.
Well, I’m babysitting my 5-month-old grandson, who is crying for a bottle, so I’ll have to wrap this up for now. Remember: Feminism Is a Totalitarian Movement to Destroy Civilization as We Know It. And also elect Hillary Clinton, but I repeat myself.

I think that bit about the public exposure of feminism rings true. Ever since I started researching this cult it became obvious the majority of its supporters out in the public arena were unaware of its true origins. As many of them have themselves become aware of it, at least some have so much invested it the crusade they find it difficult if not impossible to back out. There is money and careers at stake. It’s like the curved teeth of an anaconda; you can move your arm into its mouth but not back out.
What politician or academic or celebrity is going to want to throw away their career or suffer public embarrassment once it gets around they’re in effect trying to cure heterosexuality?

The real tragedy in our culture is that teenagers (and that’s a designation that now, quite oddly, lasts to about the age of 35) feel such an idiotic drive to be outrageous. You’ll hear the constant refrain of “That’s the way it’s always been,” or “That’s human nature.” Um, no. Plenty of cultures past and present that didn’t do this nonsense.
In their need to join each other or to top each other in their outrageousness, they forget that this is THEIR LIVES they’re messing with. It’s not a Halloween party where you ask, “What are you going as?”
Everything’s a game to them. It’s just a big giggle fest.
Meanwhile, some serious cultures are pouring into their nation to erase them.
February 27th, 2016 @ 10:25 pm
I have a theory about Nancy Grace.
Every few months she chooses one missing toddler to report on ad nauseam because it makes that particular child famous… which then drives up her price on the human trafficking market, and Nancy gets a kickback.
Think about it: How much does a human trafficker get from some Saudi billionaire if he says, “You want to buy a little blonde girl?” OK, now how much does he get when he says, “You want to buy Madeleine McCann?”
I think Nancy is the marketing wing of some Ukrainian child marketers.

“Ever since I started researching this cult it became obvious the majority of its supporters out in the public arena were unaware of its true origins.”
The recent surge of feminism is about Hillary, period, and the dimwits supporting this are no more philosophical than, for example, the idiots supporting #BlackLivesMatter. Those of us who are philosophical and understand feminism for what it actually is, a variation of Marxist-Leninist theory (MacKinnon, 1989) are against it.

I get tired of this linkage between Marxism and radical feminism. Frankly, I have never read anything by a radical feminist I consider in the least way insightful or intelligent. They borrow things from Marxism that are so generic I could argue Robin Hood is about Marxism, or tomato soup.
The real truth is a paranoia and disdain for men and heterosexuality precedes all else. The only way these fake academics have to advance their insane notions is to dress them up in faux-academic verbiage and intellectualism to give their madness a type of street cred, if you will.
They throw stuff at a wall and see what sticks. They cherry-pick Foucault, Freud, Marx, Levi-Strauss, Lacan, Derrida, loosely tie all that together in miserably stupid arguments and then put their readings of those people in footnotes. What they come up with is insanity where we are to believe all men on all five continents in cultures which didn’t know of the existence of the other banned incest and invented heterosexuality. Stupid is still stupid. If you want to call that Marxism, fine, then my cat is a Marxist because I raised its consciousness to understand where to shit.
It all looks prim and proper if you’re a naive feminist moron.

I find the Clinton’s association with Charlotte Bunch to be significant. The Clintons are an example of what I meant. Just ask Hillary if she stands by some of Bunch’s insane quotes. She can’t disavow Bunch or afford to stand by her. The anaconda trap. Luckily for her, no one knows about this relationship but people like you. They couldn’t kick all journalists off of Twitter, could they? Sanders researchers have fallen down on this one. But can even Sanders throw radical feminism aside? Can any of these freaks who’ve made themselves vulnerable to these nobodies? Even major SF author are afraid to say anything about colleagues who – in SF terms – have never accomplished anything. They fear their tech lecture circuit being destroyed, and Tim Hunt was a bigger fish than these SF writers.

What RSM has seen has been seen by people 20, and more, years ago. The warnings are not new (not that RSM is claiming them to be). Jim Nelson Black, on pp. 194-195 of When Nations Die wrote:
“One of the most perceptive analyses of of the sources of corruption in modern society comes from the British historian Paul Johnson, who offers this assessment and prescription:
‘One of the principal lessons of our tragic century, which has seen so many millions of innocent lives sacrificed in schemes to improve the lot of humanity, is – beware of intellectual. Not merely should they be kept well away from the levers of power, they should be the objects of particular suspicion when they seek to offer collective advice. Beware committees, conferences, and leagues of intellectuals. Distrust public statements issued from their serried ranks. Discount their verdicts on political leaders and important events. For intellectuals far from being highly individualistic and non-conformist people, follow certain regular patterns of behavior.
‘In his brilliant review of the damage brought upon society by ideologues such as Rousseau, Karl Marx, Bertolt Brecht, Jean-Paul Sartre, and others, Johnson makes it clear that ideologies without moral context are the source of despair in modern times. Contrary to their own claims, intellectuals and idealists are the worst sort of doctrinaire conformists. They insult and assault tradition because they are rebels against society. They do it because it amuses them. And, in particular, they attack morality and Christianity, as Julian Huxley once said, because the very idea of existence of a just God who condemns sin interferes with their sexual desires.
‘Taken as a group,’ writes Johnson, ‘they are often ultra-conformist within the circles formed by those whose approval they seek and value. That is what makes them en masse, so dangerous, for it enables them to create climates of opinion and prevailing orthodoxies, which themselves often generate irrational and destructive courses of action. Above all, we must at all times remember what intellectuals habitually forget: that people matter more than concepts and must come first. The worst of all despotisms is the heartless tyranny of ideas.*
‘Moral Anarchy’
‘But sadly, while a segment of the population recognizes that continued toleration of deviance and immorality can only lead this nation to ruin, the liberal intellectuals and idealists who set the pace of the culture are leading us to toward those very vices. Without the traditional restraints of plane or parachute, as one writer expressed it, they act as if we could defy the laws of moral gravity.
‘No one seems to remember,’ writes Jacques Ellul, ‘that there has never been a society without a moral code, and the chief thing lacking in our Western world is precisely an ethical code and system of accepted values.’ This French Philosopher and social critic says, ‘As soon as there is even a tiny blossoming of values, the intellectuals rise up to reject it and jeer at it. In doing so, they give no proof that they are free and intelligent, but demonstrate only that they are impotent and have surrendered to the madness in which negation becomes and end in itself.’”**

THIS! THIS! SO MUCH THIS!
Anyone old enough to remember the public-relations debacle of the 1995 Beijing Conference on Women, where Charlotte Bunch and other radical feminists played a high-profile role, realizes how closely connected Bunch is to Hillary, who actually quoted Bunch in a U.N. speech.
Here we are, nine months away from the election, and I have yet to see any other journalist mention the Bunch/Clinton axis, or the 1995 Beijing conference. Surely the oppo-research squad at RNC headquarters has those dossiers. When are they going to begin unloading that stuff via National Review or some other chosen outlet? Or is RNC research now run by a bunch of young brats who don’t realize the kind of dynamite this is?

That is the very overblown analogy I’m talking about. It’s nonsense to establish a credible intellectual base.
Hitler didn’t like Jews. He goes on to create a fake ideology made up from fake history. If he doesn’t do that and do that persuasively then no one listens to him. But the hate came first. Feminists hate. Their smoke and mirrors don’t interest me.
Dworkin’s academic fraud called Woman Hating should’ve simply had 300 pages of text with the words “Man Hating.” There was nothing else there.

That’s also known as a pedophile’s dream come true if you’re the “teacher.” No parents in sight. Convenient.
February 28th, 2016 @ 5:51 pm
Every field in academics right now–that is not a hard science–is cherry picking Foucault, Freud, Marx, Derrida, etc. Feminist “theory” is just one of many fields doing this.
Feminism as an idea predates Marx–actually going back to John Stuart Mill. Marx is a later paradigm. But defending “pure” Marxist theory against its admittedly poor application to the position of women in society is not a totally sympathetic position.
After all, Marxist theory did not just sit in a classroom: it was used to try and foment revolution in the industrialized West. When things didn’t quite work out as planned, Marx was combined with Freud (by the Frankfurt school) to find out why Europeans didn’t revolt and to, eventually, manipulate psyches and societies into revolution through cultural warfare. That’s what we’re seeing now with feminism and black (and ethnic) studies. These fields are not really about theory or learning or advancing human knowledge. They are weaponized ideological ideas and processes to change the cultural and governmental structures of the west.
That is why the 60s revolutionaries fought for these kinds of departments in every university and fought to have the courses required. The goal of these courses is not to advance the intellect, but to “raise the consciousness”, which is essentially emotional manipulation and mind control. Even one course like this can have a deleterious effect, and there are usually several of these required; not to mention that any liberal arts or social science oriented field will be fully infested with this ideology and its language.
The end game of Frankfurt “Critical Theory” is to create a sense of helplessness and fatalism about the way things are that can only be “cured” by revolutionary change. That, by the way, is the point of fighting for completely guilty criminals–like Michael Brown–and painting them as innocent victims of police. When the police officer cannot be punished (because he’s innocent), the impression is created by the media that the justice system is completely unjust and that major changes must be made in the US Constitution.
That is also why feminism has equally futile causes, such as eradicating “rape culture.” The alleged problem (20-25% of college women being raped) simply does not exist, and since it doesn’t, there can never be a real solution. This lack of a solution to a non-existent problem creates a sense of helplessness and desperation in the young women who believe it does exist. Eventually, believing that a solution can only be found with revolutionary change to the justice system–such as in trashing due process and 4th (and possibly 5th) amendment protections for the accused–these young women will support or even work for the demolishing of such protections, even though they are destroying their own Constitutional rights in the process.
Notice that the Black Lives movement and the “rape culture” movement are geared toward the same result: the destruction of justice system. That is why it is important to take them together, as a sort of pincers movement, and not as separate causes.
If you’re a real Marxist scholar, or if you really understand what Derrida was doing, then the hopeless mish-mash of feminist “theory” (or critical race theory) will drive you crazy–as theory. But as a weapon against the very foundations of our culture, this mish-mash is surprisingly and frighteningly effective. Understand that feminists and black studies scholars are not really scholars in the traditional sense: they are activists. The scholarship can be questionable–and even lies–as long as the activism produces real results.
February 28th, 2016 @ 6:29 pm
Marxism was applied to American feminism in the 20th century; feminism pre-existed it. Early feminism in the US came on the heels of the abolitionist movement and many early feminists, like Anthony and Cady Stanton, were heavily involved in the anti-slavery fight. That is where they cut their political teeth, so to speak. These women were Christian (at least nominally) and came from a moral perspective. They were not Marxists. And, having worked with white men for the freeing of black men (and women), they could not be called misandrists.
Marxism really enters American feminism during the mid-20th century, with Betty Friedan, who was a socialist. (It is worth remembering that many American “rights” movements were connected with committed Communists and socialists.) Friedan started NOW, which can be legitimately called a man-hating organization. Much of that “hatred” and misandry we’re getting dates from this second wave of feminism, with Gloria Steinem (CIA) at the helm and a large lesbian contingent not only fighting for feminism but for gay rights. Much of the insanity–“women are not born heterosexual”, for example–can be traced to 2nd wave feminism’s unofficial mantra: “Feminism is the theory, lesbianism is the practice,” otherwise known as “political lesbianism.”
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/lgb.asp
The general goal of feminism since its 2nd wave IS to separate women from men. Its underlying goals are to spread misandry and a single (or lesbian) lifestyle for women.
