Stand By For A Trump Mulligan

The “deal” Trump is likely referring to is his agreement in September to sign a pledge not to run as an independent. He said at the time he was given the “assurance that I would be treated fairly” by RNC chairman Reince Priebus in return for signing the pledge.
The Wall Street Journal article referenced by Trump is titled “GOP Operative Plans ‘Guerrilla Campaign’ Against Donald Trump.”

  1. It’s blatantly obvious to even the most casual observer that Her Majesty’s best shot is a 1992 reprise.
I’ve long suspected that DJT is just an incendiary mercenary. I also suspect that Her Majesty has sufficient dirt (irrespective of what she gave away via Chappaquaiddick) to bend pretty much anyone among the elite to Her Royal Will.
  2. The September détente between DJT and the GOP always looked like a convenience; DJT gets his ratings, and the GOP liquidates some smaller players.
  3. The question moves to when DJT has his Ross Perot ephiphany. The reason will be some sort of kerfuffle with the GOP.  Given that, how many of his anti-elite supporters are willing to play the Perot game again? I’ve said that I’ll vote Trump as a heckler veto of Jeb, because #NoMasBush. Short of that, though, He Of The Ridiculous Hairstyle can pound sand.

The Media are a bunch of whores.

Does Trump recognize that George Stephanopoulos is not his pal? Or are Trump, Hillary and George all engaged in one big cluster****?

I think you have it exactly backwards in one respect: Trump is not working for anyone on either side. He’s slashing to ribbons a splitter strategy designed to defeat Cruz, will get the Republican nomination, and then will deliver a coup de grâce to that crippled rabbit, Hillary.

Ah, so who do we want: Amnesty Rubio? Obamacare Kasich? Establishment Jeb? If one of those three are the nominee, how often will they cut deals with democrats and gut the conservative base? At that point, the sweet meteor of death may be welcome . . .

Speaking of Cruz. I contribute to his campaign (first time for that since Reagan). But, emails from the Cruz campaign go straight to spam. Unwanted and unasked for emails from Barry, Mooch or Hitlery never go to spam. FYI, I have no control of my spam defs through my *cough*Brighthouse*cough* internet provider (so-called).

Wonder how that happens (wink wink).

Exactly, the GOP will work to elect Hillary if Trump manages to get the nomination despite the GOP doing everything to steal as many delegates as possible – see CO, NC, and the entire primary/delegate system they retooled to elect Jeb – they didn’t count on Trump which is why Jeb could say I’m going to win the presidency by losing the primary – they actually set the delegates up so that Jeb would win with only 20percent support…

Exactly – I will not vote lesser of two evils after the GOP sold out their base after 2010 and 2014 – they are in bed with the COC and the Democrats.

I won’t vote for Trump. He is unethical, and a loudmouth.

I’d rather chew my own arm off at the shoulder than vote for JEB. If that means I’d have to vote for Trump, I would reluctantly do that. Unless I decide to get sassy and write in Vladimir Putin, because at that point, what difference would it make?

I’d rather have Cankles as President than JEB, because with her, there’s at least a slim chance that she’ll kick the bucket early on.

What is it with the Bushes, do they think they’re Kennedys or what?

What happens if Jeb drops out of the race after a few shellackings in primaries? That’s what I expect to happen, so you won’t have to make that choice.

The question is: can you support Trump on his own merits?

    Cruz.

Hell no, I can’t support Trump on his own merits. I think he’s a lying weasel, and a bottom feeder. Why anyone would trust someone from a “reality” show, I don’t know. Maybe he should snap up Kim Kardashian as his running mate while he still can. The thing is, if he didn’t have his obvious liberal tendencies, he could actually do the job, I think. I mean, Reagan did the 180° turnaround, and look how he turned out.

On the other hand, I’m at the point where I’d even vote for Jimmuh Carter if I thought it would keep Cankles out of the WH, so there you go.

That’s one of Trump’s major strengths. He has appeared to live in the open and it appears there are no “surprises” in store for him as there would be for others. She’s probably even got something on Cruz which, sprung at the right time, would do serious damage to him.

What exactly are his merits? Self-aggrandizement is not exactly meritorious. What else does the guy have? Also, how is it that I have never met a single person who supports the guy IRL? Plenty of loonies online calling people names claim to support the guy…so where are the real, in-the-flesh humans? Anyone ever met one? I’m starting to think this is the best organized false flag in history…and it has me wondering if Satan is Chaircreature of the Board of HillBill & Co, Ltd.

I’m getting the feeling (backed up by polls and my reading of lefties) that Hillary is almost doomed at this point. Really, I mean a McGovern-level BEATDOWN is coming for her.
If true, then the only decision is “who do we want leading us?”
    My answer isn’t Trump.

There is a whiff, perhaps a stench of holier-than-‘thouness’ from the right side Trump bashers. It is rather distasteful.

I will give the perspective of a typical rube: Trump, a private citizen, stakes his fortune and reputation to run a successful (to date) campaign which has thus far up ended politics as usual. His willingness to lead with his chin knowing that the punches thrown will be many inspires many voters on the right to be more bold, to push back against the cult of the left. Many of us think that Trump is owed thanks for his foray, whatever the end result and many of us see the brass set that it took to step into the fray of corrupt America politics and take on the giants of establishment politics and media.

Personally, I do not think that Trump is the dolt that the snobby right seems to believe. In fact, I find it a bit obtuse. Perhaps, reflecting on what the race might look like without Trump’s entrance would give some pause. In your heart of hearts you know that we would be staring at Hillary vs Jeb! right now – two sides of the same crony capitalist, globalist coin, a far more disturbing a notion.

Actually, my neighbor is one. When he said it, I assumed he was joking, so
I laughed. But no, he’s for real. He likes the lies Trump tells about illegal immigration. And no amount of rational discourse or logic will change his mind. Scariest thing: he’s a former Special Forces sniper.

You know, maybe the DNC knows that neither Hillary nor Jeb have a snowball’s chance, and Trump is their next best thing? You know, anything to keep Cruz out of the WH.

Ive been saying all along that the fix is in for Hillary. Both the Democrat and Republican leaderships agree. She will be the next President. Although I can’t imagine how many drugs and meds they’re going to have to keep her pumped up with to drag her across the finish line.

What happens if Jeb drops out of the race after a few shellackings in primaries?

Jeb will not drop out. The whole point of the splitting tortoise strategy is for him to lose over and over — but to a bunch of different one-state wonders that will then hand their delegates over to him at the convention.

That’s why the field is so big; for the Establishment Party, it’s a team sport.

  27. Matt_SE
    November 25th, 2015 @ 7:26 pm

I doubt the field will stay this large much longer. After the first two primaries, I think there will only be 4 or 5 people left.
