Eat Cat Too

Just in case #OccupyResoluteDesk runs low on on his usual four-footed fare, this blog would like to offer a suggested backup plan, via Angus and the boys:
The opening lines: “Dog eat dog / eat cat, too” are great. So much fun in six three-letter words. I suppose there is some jape about metaphorical cannibalism and BHO in here. And maybe a Benny Hill variation, if you wish.
What’s interesting about the whole doggone situation is:
- This really can’t help BHO’s Middle Eastern popularity at all.
- The sheer quantity of abuse directed at BHO on this silly topic could indicate some sort of tipping point. Previously, the usual Hollywood suspects would have popped up to tell us how raaaaacist we are for daring to question Teh One.
- We’ve still got half a year until the election. Given the mix of legitimate and silly lines of argument against BHO, and the likelihood that ObamaCare, Fast & Furious, the various other executive branch scandals (take your pick) and the rest are only going to worsen over the summer, one begins to wonder the exact date for the announcement of the medical condition requiring retirement.

Cats too? Maybe you should do a separated at birth: Barack Obama and…
This guy
April 21st, 2012 @ 9:53 am
Of course, this is worse than eating dogs (or cats)…
April 21st, 2012 @ 11:00 am
I read somewhere that Obamsky is writing a book of dog recipes.

Hey! It is the first day of BlogCon 2012!
April 21st, 2012 @ 11:39 am
I’ve heard cat referred to as “roof rabbit” and “The Other White Meat”.
Just sayin’, is all.
April 21st, 2012 @ 11:47 am
one begins to wonder the exact date for the announcement of the medical condition requiring retirement.
I was just thinking the same thing last night. The only question is…do the Democrats force him out before the convention, or do the Democrats pull some type of Torricelli/Lautenberg caper again?
Then the question is who do they replace him with….the answer is obvious…Hillary Clinton.
April 21st, 2012 @ 12:22 pm
Roof rabbit? Nice!
April 21st, 2012 @ 12:58 pm
And it would probably start out with Obama resigning, followed by Biden taking the oath of office, and then picking Hillary as his VP, who then goes on to win the nomination by what amounts to acclimation (an actual honest to goodness brokered convention) with only nominal opposition, probably from the left. And it only goes downhill from there. Suddenly, all of the oppo research Mitt’s people have poured into Obama is down the drain and they have to play catch up, while the money suddenly pours into the DNC in earnest. A nightmare scenario. The only question is who she picks as her running mate. Probably a southern Dem.
April 21st, 2012 @ 2:25 pm
Ye both be dreaming, fantasizing actually. There is no chance in hell that the first Black president doesn’t get his party’s nomination.
April 21st, 2012 @ 2:38 pm
Dreaming? That would be a damn nightmare. We have a better than average chance of beating Obama, if the scenario I put forth come about, I’m not so sure it would be that easy to beat Hillary. Beat her with what? How? She’d win back most of the moderate and maybe even most of the conservative dems. I don’t think you appreciate how popular the Clintons have become with democrats across the board, even conservative ones in places like Kentucky, where Bill can still draw big crowds.
April 21st, 2012 @ 2:40 pm
I always thought roof rabbit was squirrel…
April 21st, 2012 @ 2:41 pm
You guys aren’t nearly ruthless enough in your analysis to work for the Alinsky party….
April 21st, 2012 @ 4:11 pm
Yeah, that could go either way.
April 21st, 2012 @ 4:12 pm
Nope, squirrel is “fuzzy tailed tree rat” (which makes for a fine chili and a very good gravy over biscuits I might add) — cats have also been called kitchen rabbits. Back during the war, the adults would call them that as a trick to get a person’s mind off of what they were really eating.
Dog was a little harder to disguise.
April 21st, 2012 @ 5:07 pm
What ever the odds, of or not beating Hillary or anyone else for that matter are superfluous.
April 21st, 2012 @ 7:39 pm
Never had squirrel in chili, but it does make a damn good gravy.
April 21st, 2012 @ 8:07 pm
Squirrel chili is delicious. I like it better than the gravy, but the gravy is good and that is a personal judgement on the merits.
April 21st, 2012 @ 8:12 pm
I don’t know if they’d replace him — a good portion of the Dem party would dearly like to (he isn’t that popular) but they would be afraid of the backlash.
Anyone else and I’d say they could be talked into not running, but his ego prevents that (and neither does Jarrett’s).
Sad to say, but the Dems probably will go with the most pragmatic choice: keep him in, and if he does lose hey they get rid of his faction; then they place footsie with Romney — who shows every indication of being the sort to return the favor. Things are going to be miserable anyway. People get mad at Republicans/conservatives; they throw some new “messiah of the people” up in 2016 and go for the sweep.
April 21st, 2012 @ 10:46 pm
Thanks for the tip. I haven’t had squirrel gravy since I was a young’un, but I still remember how good it was. Doubt that I’ll ever have it again, as I’m not a hunter myself, but who knows?
April 21st, 2012 @ 10:47 pm
You’re probably right. Of course, you never can tell whether Obama might have an “accident” one of these days.
April 21st, 2012 @ 11:22 pm
That’s assuming that if Mitt wins he’d be as lousy a President as you and others assume he’d be. I don’t make that assumption. When you elect a President, you’re not voting for a four year dictator. You’re voting for someone who has to work with Congress in passing laws that will pass constitutional muster. A good solid majority in the House and Senate would keep Mitt in check, assuming he will need to be kept in check, another assumption I won’t make yet. But it always helps to bear in mind, the President is just the head of one branch of government. People tend to minimize the importance of the House and Senate elections during a presidential year, even though that’s when they’re more important than ever.
