Colorado Massacre Caused by Heated Rhetoric and Kinky Sex Freak With 6,000 Rounds of Ammunition …

Posted on | July 21, 2012 | 43 Comments

. . . but mainly it was the guy with 6,000 rounds of ammunition:

The gunman who blasted his way through a packed movie house early on Friday, killing 12 people and injuring 58 others, had apparently been planning his attack for weeks.
“In the last 60 days he purchased four guns at local metro gun shops, and through the Internet he purchased over 6,000 rounds of ammunition,” Aurora Police Chief Daniel Oates said Friday night.

Contrary to anything you might have heard from ABC News, this wasn’t Jim Holmes, the 52-year-old Tea Party member whose name showed up in a Google search done by “investigative journalist” Brian Ross. No, this was James Holmes, a 24-year-old grad school dropout who was looking for kinky sex on the Internet:

Before launching his movie massacre, “Dark Knight” killing suspect James Holmes was unraveling — dropping out of a prestigious grad-school program, detaching from his family and trolling the Web for bizarre sex romps.
Police are looking into a posting on the sex Web site AdultFriendFinder.com that was apparently put up by Holmes to find group partners, law-enforcement sources told The Post.
In his lurid ad, he darkly alluded to crimes to come.
“Will you visit me in prison?” wrote the poster, who used the screen name “classicjimbo” to look for partners who were into “Women, Couples (man and woman), Groups or Couples (2 women).”
The sex posting features an image allegedly of Holmes sporting the red hair he wore at yesterday’s massacre.
He describes himself as 6 feet tall and single “with an athletic body” — though he admits he has a “short/average”-size penis.
“Looking for a fling or casual sex gal,” he wrote. “Am a nice guy. Well, as nice enough of a guy who does these sort of shenanigans.”

James Holmes — the accused mass murderer who is not a Colorado Tea Party member, no matter what anybody at ABC News may have told you — is into kinky sex, has a “short/average” penis, and was a “brilliant” science student from San Diego:

The son of a nurse, Arlene, and a software company manager, Robert, James Holmes was a brilliant science scholar in college.  . . .
The bookish demeanor concealed an unspooling life. Holmes struggled to find work after graduating with highest honors in spring 2010 with a neuroscience degree from the University of California, Riverside, said the neighbor, retired electrical engineer Tom Mai.
Holmes enrolled last year in a neuroscience Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado-Denver but was in the process of withdrawing, said school officials, who didn’t provide a reason. The school later said in a statement that he left the program in June 2012.
As part of the advanced program in Denver, a James Holmes had been listed as making a presentation in May about Micro DNA Biomarkers in a class named “Biological Basis of Psychiatric and Neurological Disorders.”
In academic achievement, “he was at the top of the top,” recalled Riverside Chancellor Timothy P. White.
Holmes concentrated his study on “how we all behave,” White added. “It’s ironic and sad.”

So while the Department of Homeland Security has warned us about the threat of “right-wing extremists,” they forgot to warn us about the kinky science students with small penises.

Because I’m not an “investigative reporter” like Brian Ross of ABC News, I don’t believe everything I read on the Internet. Therefore, I urge extreme caution about reports that James Holmes — the kinky 24-year-old grad school dropout with the small/average penis — was involved in the “Occupy” movement.

The reason I urge caution is (a) I’ve seen no real evidence, and (b) it’s got that “too good to check” problem. If it subsequently turns out that Holmes was involved in “Occupy,” OK. But let’s not start speculating or jumping to conclusions, because then we’ll have no credibility at all, like Brian Ross and ABC News.

P.S.: The style of riff in the headline is, of course, completely stolen from Ace of Spades. I was talking to Jimmie Bise Jr. and he suggested it. So if you don’t like the headline, blame the Ewok and a big guy in a porkpie hat, but mainly . . .

So we should ignore reports that this massacre was an homage to the Speedway Bomber?

For someone who was unemployed and a student, where did he get the money to buy all this stuff? The guns and ammo alone, excluding the body armor, are in the $5,000 range if the guns were new.

The only ‘evidence’ linking him to Occupy (which isn’t the black bloc)  is the website of some guy in Florida named Bill Warner.  The headline said he was in Occupy but today it has been changed to a question not a statement.  The thing is, there is no evidence of any kind just Mr. Warner’s opinion:
“Based on my investigation of the Occupy Black Bloc terrorists,
that began in November of 2011, and my interaction with Occupy Movement
members in Florida, it is my opinion that James E. Holmes fits the
profile of a 20 something Black Bloc terrrorist and that his shooting up
of the Aurora Co movie theater was payback for the Batman movie
    slaming the OWS.”

And,  “The Batman movie portrays the OWS crowd in a negative vein, the
new Batman movie featured the villain as an Occupy Wall Street type. I
would first look at the possibility that James Holmes, DOB 12/13/1987,
was caught up in the OWS movement took it upon himself to strike back
    against “THE MAN.”

This is just a guy expressing his favorite conspiracy theory on his website.  It shouldn’t be repeated as actual facts. Literally everything on the internet implying this connection sources back to Bill Warner’s site which is pure speculation.

I find the MSM coverage frustrating.  There are, it seems to me, several extremely obvious questions going unasked.  Foremost is the question of whether or not Holmes has been diagnosed with and received treatment for psychiatric disorders?  Not to put too fine a point on it, but is he a known nut case?  Isn’t that the first thing investigators (and reporters) should be interested in?  If it has been addressed, I haven’t seen it.

Also, why was he unable to find a job (one article said he worked at McDonalds for a while)?  Granted the job market is tight, even for college graduates.  But, an honors graduste from a prestigious school in a highly technical field?  Seems to me he would be highly employable.

A shocking number of people are dead or injured. Hundreds of family members are grieving. And some people are fixed insanely on turning Holmes into a weapon that can be used in the liberal vs. conservative struggle.

It’s hard for me to comprehend, but obviously there are people who see this on the news, and the thought that comes to their minds is: “How can I blame this on the people I hate?” That’s really dark.

It’s going to be hard to argue legal insanity with the level of planning evident here.  And he apparently had a change of heart and warned police about the explosives in his apartment – otherwise they would have likely made a normal forced entry with a search warrant, and the whole building might have blown.  Indicates he knew right from wrong and that what he had done/planned was wrong.

“According to police sources, the same suspect who would not tell police a motive
for the shooting did tell them that if they went to his apartment they might
find explosives. Holmes didn’t mention it was a trap.”

I’ve got a hunch that whatever drove this creep to do this, it had very little to do with insanity (don’t think he was, no more than any terrorist) and probably very little to do, at the core, with political affiliations.

This, imhao, points to something far bigger and more important.

Ordering 6k rounds of ammunition is bad? I’m in deep crap. So are a lot of folks who buy ammo in bulk. Ammo is like anything else sometimes you can get deals and save cash. I’ve ordered that much at one time before. My partners and I all chipped in bought it and I had it shipped to my house. Probably flagged some pencil neck somewhere don’t care. It’s not illegal and it SHOULDN’T BE!

It’s kind of like the 10 round mag capacity law in CA. Basically the state has said “We’re okay with you killing 10 but that 11th is where we draw the line” All it is, is step closer to limiting our ability to protect ourselves if we so chose.

The victims in this incident or any other mass shooting in recent memory never had ANY VICTIMS who died while holding their own gun! Always gun free zones or “Not likely to have” guns in the hands of victims areas.

Perfect illustration of what I was saying. When confronted with the unthinkable suffering of others, the only thing these kind of people can think of is, “This validates my hatred for that big chunk of humanity I call the left.” On other sites, you see them substituting the word right. All of them so severed from human connection that Aurora summons bile instead of empathy. Little Gollums crouched in the black caves of their empty souls, crooning over their hatreds like The One Ring. “My precious!”

I suspect that we’ll learn that the Aurora killer was deeply narcissistic.  Not insane, but focused on himself.  This, in turn, lead him to commit acts of evil.

I won’t speculate on his line of reasoning (if that’s what it was) that lead him to that theater.  But I suspect it’s all about himself.

  25. JeffS

  28. Pathfinder's wife

maybe, probably — narcissistic enough to want people to “get” him

    Could be this too:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfmkRi_tr9c

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPuToZT0vfY

Those implications are a bit more troubling, to me at least — if only because we can probably expect more of the same; somebody else, but more of the same.  The state may not be broken, but society…eh, it’s got some significant chips and dings.

…because while Batman’s the hero, didn’t everyone really dig on The Joker?  That’s where we all are at. Just imhao.

You would have a point, save that TPT is not offering an exception to the rule, he’s noting that conservatives being blamed for [insert whatever here] by the left, the media, or both, is standard operating procedure.

It’s not a case of IF, but of WHEN the smears, innuendos, and snide implications will be broadcasted.

Granted, a portion of the right indulges in that as well, but by and large, that tends to be a minority.  The conservative response to a tragedy tends to be restrained when it comes to assigned a cause, or blame.

As an example, you might read Stacy’s initial post on this, where he cautioned against exactly what you bemoan.

So, maybe a little credit is due here, hmmmmm?

The fall of the Twin Towers on 9/11 was rapidly politicized (within minutes) by Progressives. This is their playbook and it’s been successful throughout the millenia: if a people do not feel safe under the established order, they will revolt to create a new order. Progressives want to foment that revolt, and like the Taliban, wait until Left and Right are exhausted and then step in and take power.

The human beings directly and indirectly affected by this massacre are, to Progressives, immaterial. When there isn’t a massacre, we see reports of the slower, yet no less deadly human-caused taking of life through obesity, 32-0z soda pops, legally procured guns, transfats, texting while driving, and so on.

For decent human beings, with even a rudimentary construct of ethics that says murder is bad, this massacre is horrific. But for Progressives, they will not waste this opportunity.

It’s different only in scope, PFW.  Or maybe in tactics.

  35. Pathfinder's wife

reply to below: see, here’s the difference as I see it — the people in the theatre who thought this was a prank or pr stunt at first are more akin to the people who try to emulate Jackass.  The reality they see on the screen becomes more real than actual reality — and they suffer personally (and sometimes tragically) for their belief (it bogglingly awful isn’t it? — that many of those people just sat there at first, thinking that really nothing was amiss; this was all part of the show — that to me is one of the truly horrible facts of this case, the real tragedy).

The creep on the other hand…he’s a totally different sort of thing.
But yeah, we’ll see more of this if we keep going the way we are.

I really connect with this comment found at Hope n Change via Rachel Lucas’s post Actually yes, it is about freedom, thanks for playing:

I hate stories like this. They all follow the Five Stages of Bullshit:
    1. The crocodile tears. This includes the False Moment of National Unity, during which people proclaim that events like this bring us together, even as they sharpen their partisan knives for the next step.2. The blood libel. With no data, motive is assigned to some conservative group or belief. This proves false 100% of the time, but like a tattoo, the accusation can never be entirely removed.3. The Rorschach test. Every politician and pundit on earth pens an editorial explaining how this one isolated event has a much broader meaning that proves everything he’s been saying for the last 20 years.4. Something Must Be Done. A national debate ensues on how to make sure that something like this never happens again. This event was a wake-up call and a game-changer. Everything must be on the table. We must not allow a 200-year-old piece of parchment to prevent us from Acting Right Away.5. Suzy’s Law. Congress vomits forth a bipartisan bill that no member dare vote against. For precisely that reason, the bill includes a litany of unrelated pork and policy for both parties that could never otherwise pass. In exchange for a few billion dollars and a bit of your liberty, the president, surrounded by beaming legislators, offers a few cloying words about “what this town can do when people put their differences aside” and ostentatiously signs “Suzy’s Law”, a new set of rules that, had they been in place before the tragedy, would have made absolutely no difference.
