    Pffft. This is one of those subjects where he who decries the most is probably the most guilty.

    Look, I stayed at home with young kids.  It worked better that way.  I’m a musician and computer geek. (Translation: I could always get work.) I have long hair.  I’m the guy who can talk to those dweebs at SXSW and I’m the guy can make your “devices” work better.  I don’t mind listening to REM and Indigo Girls.  I also like hard metal, jazz, country, blues, gospel, R&B, and classical.

    Before you folks break out the “metro” BS, you might need more info.

    See, I also have guns, like to tramp through the woods (occasionally hunt, but not much time for it), I like boating, fixing cars and tractors, drive trucks and 4x4s out in the boonies, and blowing sh*t up.   My wife is a fine, redneck woman, and our sons are not confused about masculinity.

    People need to check their stereotypes.  Failing to do so out here in flyover country could get you killed.  Especially if you forget to stay off my lawn.

    Just wondering which is the manliest of the MSLSD lineup:

    Matthews, Sharpton, Olbermann, Schultz, O’Donnell, or Maddow

    I’m going to say either Maddow or Schultz with Schultz breaking the tie on account he has a bigger piehole.

    How that channel would get any demographic, much less the women, is beyond me. Well, I guess I could see the Useful Idiot demographic.

    I believe that beta males (or rather, their increase within the population) are an unexpected but welcome result of social engineering by nanny staters.

    Gotta admit, most of this “gender wars” stuff seems silly to me: most men under 60 aren’t any different from women, except for their external physical features, and most under 60 of both sexes act like children.  This cuts across all racial and other socio-cultural lines too; nobody is innocent.

    Bunch a foppish, tantrum throwing, narcissistic, shallow, vapid, lazy, gullible, pansy ass, butt kissers who have never put sweat equity into anything, worship money as a veritable body component, and for whom palace intrigue is the way life is to be lived.Hey, present company included, I’m one of the early X’ers — we’re screwed (more importantly any one of my kids who doesn’t fall in line with this bs is screwed).

    Sorry to say, but we’re all a bunch of turds in need of a great, big flushing.

    LOL, but truly, we’re all pretty much responsible for this mess — the trick is going to be how/if we can get ourselves out of it….and nobody can predict the future, but if I had a guess I’d say that putting little bandaids and saying “there, there” on the problems likely will not be enough.

    My stereotypes died when I found out one of my husband’s sgts. liked to listen to ABBA.
    It takes a truly hardcore manly man to like ABBA and still be firmly in possession of his man card (which nobody would be brave enough to take away from him anyway).
