I have faith in the free market.
For 170 years, Hong Kong has run the most practical, effective and ruthless free market on the planet. China needs Hong Kong and it’s people desperately.
Right now, this is about saving face. Making long term plans is part of Chinese culture, but adapting plans and moving quickly is part of Hong Kong culture.
