Every Year in Texas . . .

. . .  the state’s estimated 1.5 million illegal aliens become parents of 60,000 new babies who are automatically U.S. citizens.

When Republicans suggest this is a problem, they’re denounced as harboring “a desire to eviscerate the Constitution.”

Not only are our borders broken, but our political discourse isn’t exactly functioning smoothly, either.

    Republicans need to start telling the denouncers that they can feel free, in the words of one of my Internutz favorites, to go pound a wet bag of sand up their ass.

    Lets say for example that some lefty floated the idea that it’s time to amend or repeal the 2nd Amendment. While I would vehemently disagree, I can respect that they are actually using a remedy that is, you know, mentioned in the Constitution.

    Let’s say it time to look a little deeper into the intent of the 14th Ammendment. Quote
    “Amendment XIV (1868)

    Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
    As I see it ‘born …AND subject to the jurisdiction thereof…’ means that anyone can come and go and bear children here, but if the parents ARE NOT ‘subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ then the newborn isn’t either.

    To clarify, anyone who comes here from another country, either as a visitor, diplomat, work visa, college student or industrialist remains under the jurisdiction of their home country. Therefore, should they have children, the children are citizens of their parents home country.
    IMHO, anyone who believes in ‘anchor babies’ is believing a lie.
