Jeff Serves Up A Trump Rant Of Justice

If you can tolerate a modicum of potty mouth, do take in the latest Protein Wisdom:
Here’s the truth: Trump has received 45% of the delegates with 36% of the vote. He’s won several caucus states and didn’t complain then. I’ve heard not one of his supporters argue that winner-take-all races in Florida, or full delegate takes in South Carolina — in neither of which state did he get a majority — disenfranchised those who voted for someone other than Trump and who will have no representation on the first ballot at a contested GOP convention. The truth is, the “system” has helped him, as it does most front runners who aren’t total incompetents and phony Republicans.
You Trump backers are dishonest shills praying at the altar of a false god. You are fine with populist authoritarianism so long as you believe it is you who will benefit from the king’s beneficence. You are, in short, Obama voters with Rs attached to your names. You are the problem.
Read the whole thing. And thanks, Jeff. This very much needed saying.

Such a conundrum. Trump is winning with non-republican votes, but that is supposed to be the recipe for general election success.
April 13th, 2016 @ 8:58 pm
Trump gets slaughtered in the general. 50 some polls show Hillary crushing him and he’s trending in the wrong direction.
April 13th, 2016 @ 9:04 pm
If Trump loses many of his supporters bolt. On the other hand many of them wouldn’t support a true conservative and haven’t ever voted for a Republican or voted at all.
April 13th, 2016 @ 9:15 pm
If Trump gets the nomination and loses to Hillary it’s a loss for the GOP but not for conservatives. If Kasich is nominated, whether he wins or loses, it’s a loss for conservatives. If Cruz is nominated and wins it’s a great victory for conservatives.
Now if Trump wins the presidency it will take time to determine whether or not it’s a win or a loss for conservatives and we can’t know until the smoke and at least some of the rubble clears. If Trump wins the nomination we can only hope Susan Sarandon is right.
April 13th, 2016 @ 10:25 pm
Great article! I can forgive him for a few “f-bombs”. I don’t typically use such language myself, but considering he’s talking about the Branch Trumpidians, I can certainly understand!
April 14th, 2016 @ 12:03 am
I am grateful to Donald Trump for running. He cured me of the naive idea I held that “my side” was full of people who were different than the foolish, hero worshipping Obama supporters. That “my side” was about principles and ideas, not a man. They are not. While I still don’t believe that the majority of them protest Obama because of racism, I do believe that their protestations of his tyrannical behavior have been untrue. They do not object to the tyranny, but only to the tyrant they do not like. It is a very good thing to know, and now we must all be grownups and deal with the difficult reality before us.
April 14th, 2016 @ 1:04 am
That was a truly epic rant by Jeff. Well said.
April 14th, 2016 @ 6:44 am
Both parties have their share of low info voters. Go read the comments over at American Spectator, you’ll see a fairly large number of them.
April 14th, 2016 @ 6:46 am
The polls are useless in such match ups as it’s far too early to mean anything. Things tend to change dramatically after the nominations are set. In the end, the only poll that counts takes place on the first Tuesday in November.
April 14th, 2016 @ 7:22 am
Jeff been savin’ up for that. Good stuff.
April 14th, 2016 @ 4:40 pm
Trump supporter: Hey, this Colorado thing looks like a cheat.
Cruz supporter: You f(((()) piece of ()_)_+_, your head is )____, and we hate you because you guys are so aggressively rude.
Trump supporter: ??????
You can see it in Jeff’s comments. After Jeff’s unleashed his venom, a Trump supporter says ‘well if you don’t want me around, then I’m gone’. There’s no ‘bleep you, you bleeping snot, I’m bleeping leaving right bleeping now’. One side, the Trump side is generally polite, and the other side, is much more generally loudmouthed.
What’s happening is that a rougher crowd is joining the fight for freedom. And unlike the previous group, this group knows how to go on the offensive. I’m a conservative, but for a long time we’ve cowered when we should have advanced.
RSM’s ‘Remember RAAAAACISM has five A’s’ is part of that advance. But there is not enough attack, and the situation favors attack. We can win. The Left is fragile.
April 14th, 2016 @ 5:00 pm
Yep, epic rant from a guy that I have given money to over the years. Will save my money the next time he plays the poor pitiful Jeff. Good to see where the Cruz supporters are willing to go…I am sure that the party will recover from this because after all I am a low information voter. Eh Stacy…? We met at the SPLC in New Orleans…I used to run a blog that you used to link to from time to time. Was linked to by Instapundit, Hot Air, Captains Quarters, Michelle Malkin and a few others that I have forgotten. Yup thats me a low information voter.
Just because I knocked on doors for Reagan, made phone calls for Bush and gave out thousands of dollars to various Republicans, I am a low information voter…Yea I am real sure the party will get over this. I no longer go to Ace of Spades because I am an idiot according to him, I no longer visit Protein Wisdom, Redstate, Hot Air except for Jazz Shaw is worthless…the Republican party is crazy.
Building a wall to protect the citizens of this country is a conservative value.
Deporting the illegals is a conservative value. Giving out stuff animals to criminals is NOT a conservative value.
Ending crazy trade deals that are called “Free” to replace them with trade deals that are Fair is a conservative value.
Ending the desire to make endless war on a whole host of people is a conservative value.
Ted Cruz is no conservative….
April 14th, 2016 @ 6:28 pm
Now that’s a bit of PLO level revisionism there. You left out the Trump supporters issuing death threats, Trump himself talking about riots if he doesn’t get the nomination. But yeah, Trump is the victim, forget that Colorado went back to this system of choosing delegates in 2004 (back? Why yes, it’s the way Colorado choose it’s delegates from 1912 until 1988) and that the operation was known.
April 14th, 2016 @ 6:42 pm
How about a barrier along the whole border instead of Dodging Donny’s half way? The Rio Grande is not that much a barrier most of the time, regardless of what Trump says.
How about deporting illegals and keeping them out instead of Dodging Donny’s touchback amnesty? But Heaven forbid someone show Christian charity to children in detention, deserved as it may be.
Is breaking treaties, in other words, violating the laws of the United States now a conservative value?
And where does this “the desire to make endless war on a whole host of people” come from? And which “whole host of people” are we talking about? Jihadis? They have declared endless war on us, but maybe surrender to Sharia (such as Trump demanded of Gellar not too long ago, 1st Amendment be damned) is now a conservative value.
April 14th, 2016 @ 11:05 pm
Yea surrender to Sharia…that the ticket. You mean like Bush did when he declared Islam the religion of peace? You mean like what Bush did when he redacted the 9/11 report to save the Saudis? Is that the sort of professional politician you admire? Is that the sort of politician that moves YOUR side of the argument to call people like me, who have worked all of their adult lives for Republicans, a LOW INFORMATION VOTER…f@ck y’all.
And before you say that Bush isn’t running Cruz, the principled conservative, worked his ass off trying to get into the Bush administration and his wife managed it. Cruz has about as much chance of being Anti Establishment as I have of being Batman.
And Jeff is full of sh!t in so many other ways in this “Epic Rant” but truth is I simply don’t care anymore. You hate us, and want us out, fine, try and win without us.
April 14th, 2016 @ 11:05 pm
“What’s happening is that a rougher crowd is joining the fight for freedom.” No. An opportunistic hack is exploiting a bunch of rubes. But thanks for noticing that they have been missing from the battlements for the last 20 years.
April 14th, 2016 @ 11:50 pm
“Try and win without us”.
Same for your side, I think.
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:45 am
I’m sure both sides are doing so.
And you’re talking about Trump. I’m talking about Trump supporters and Cruz supporters.
And I didn’t say that the Trump idea about Colorado being a cheat was correct or not.
Goodness.
I did say that I’ve seen a lot more rudeness from Cruz supporters.
Even this very post shows the difference. We have a wide array of insults from Cruz supporters like GUEST and Mike, but Quartermaster is just polite.
This is just the facts, dude. Your people are much more aggressive and rude.
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:52 am
First the Tea Party came and was polite. They got stomped flat by the Usual Suspects.
So, the ‘rubes’ decided that we needed to pump the volume to 11, and kick the door down. Hence Trump.
April 15th, 2016 @ 10:20 am
Well, since Trump has declared, I personally have had my physical and financial well being threatened, my wife’s fidelity to our marriage vows questioned, and among other things been called a traitor to my country and my race. Oh, and Trump has sent death threats to the Colorado GOP chairman? Is that what you are saying? Trump has issued threats to Indiana delegates? No, those who are trying to intimidate and threaten those who are not supporting their candidate are overwhelmingly Trump supporters.
April 15th, 2016 @ 10:24 am
Well, since Garland is lot more recent than 9/11, and Trump held Gellar as responsible for the 2 dead jihadis because she dared to hold a “draw Mohammed” contest, yeah, that’s surrender to Sharia. One of the reasons that there is “hate” among the non-Trump supporters is that so many of the Trump supporters sound and act just like the Obama and Hillary supporters.
April 15th, 2016 @ 11:01 am
Donald Trump has sent death threats to the Chairman of the Colorado GOP?
Really?
Proof please. Because this fails the laugh test.
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:07 pm
Really please direct me to Trump sites that are telling Cruz supporters to fuck off. Please direct me to national publications that are calling for Cruz supporters to die. You can’t because there are none. We realize that it is impossible to win without you…
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:16 pm
Quoting your response to my ” You left out the Trump supporters issuing death threats,” you stated, “And you’re talking about Trump. I’m talking about Trump supporters and Cruz supporters.” My response to that was “Oh, and Trump has sent death threats to the Colorado GOP chairman? Is that what you are saying? Trump has issued threats to Indiana delegates? No, those who are trying to intimidate and threaten those who are not supporting their candidate are overwhelmingly Trump supporters.” so really, are you truly that dense as not to be able to follow the conversation?
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:34 pm
“Giving out stuff[ed] animals to criminals is NOT a conservative value.”
It is a Christian value, and therefore conservative. Note also, the “criminals” referred to here are children.
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:37 pm
You Trumpkins are unhinged. I don’t want to be part of any party you’re in. Winning or losing is less important to me than keeping my soul intact.
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:42 pm
The difference between Democrats and us is that we try to take out the trash. If Democrats did that, Hillary wouldn’t even be running.
April 15th, 2016 @ 12:44 pm
I learned after the Romney fiasco to not disregard polls. They can be biased, but 51 out of 58 polls showing Trump losing isn’t a blip.
April 15th, 2016 @ 1:07 pm
Perhaps so. My bad.
My response to death threats was that both sides likely do it.
You’re offering your personal life, and just a reiteration of your point.
You have not dealt with the point I raised, which is one that all of us can easily verify. Just look at this commentry, and Jeff’s OP, and his commentry.
Who’s being polite and who’s being RUDE?
April 15th, 2016 @ 1:13 pm
One thing, RSM: there’s some kind of “history” with Jeff about being shunned or something. I don’t know that story. Would you or anyone care to share?
April 15th, 2016 @ 1:25 pm
I’m inclined to agree, but not trusting the polls, given their performance over the last few years, is the prudent thing to do.
April 15th, 2016 @ 2:13 pm
I’ve done an in-depth statistical analysis on Trump’s performance this cycle, and he is so textbook on-top of his theoretical distribution, it’s remarkable:
Trump finishes average of [RCP poll averages] +1%, with a standard deviation of 3.5%. The margin of error of most polls these days is 3-4%.
The only deviation in the polls comes from Cruz, and his regular overperformance comes from the fact that undecideds break massively in his favor (the polls don’t capture this reality).
April 15th, 2016 @ 3:47 pm
Here is where your “conservative” got his conservative on…
https://ricochet.com/myth-ted-cruzs-principles/
In A Time for (Naked Opportunism) Truth, Cruz openly explains his political transition to the hard-right. While exploring the possibility of a Senate run in 2012, Cruz commissioned polls to judge the likelihood of his success and the mood of the electorate:
In our first benchmark poll, we asked a series of questions to assess where I stood compared to Dewhurst. One of those questions would become famous internally in our campaign: Question 10. It asked voters if they would be more or less likely to support me if they knew that “Ted Cruz understands that politicians from both parties have let us down. Cruz is a proven conservative we can trust to provide new leadership in the Senate to reduce the size of government and defend the Constitution.”
April 15th, 2016 @ 4:01 pm
I admire the bolding. Next time, try all-caps as well.
April 15th, 2016 @ 6:20 pm
You admire the bolding? heh…that’s the best you got? The supposed conservative all of you are hooting and hollering about got his conservative on after he discovered that it polled well. Nice.
April 15th, 2016 @ 7:42 pm
I agree with you. However, if Trump is the nominee, then the only poll that will count is in November. many have started with very high negatives and ended in November with far smaller negatives.
I’m not trying to say that the polls don’t say anything. But, ans more importantly, I think Trump’s performance recently is a serious cause for concern for his aficionados.
April 15th, 2016 @ 9:36 pm
There are plenty of them. I’ve seen it in various sites. That, and worse.
April 16th, 2016 @ 5:42 pm
Fine then show me one.
April 16th, 2016 @ 11:27 pm
You kid yourself to imagine that people are supporting Trump the man and not Trump the truth teller. If he came out tomorrow and said he’s all for mass immigration and much higher taxes etc, his support would evaporate away in short order. He’s popular because he is the only one willing to say things that the other candidates are afraid of, in short, he is not a coward who worries about what the media will say about him tomorrow. Trump moves the Overton window and only once the dangerous work is done, then the cowards chime in with ‘me too!’. But they’d not dare stick their necks out first.
April 16th, 2016 @ 11:33 pm
Jeff, and many others, have missed the point. Cruz can’t win in the general. Nor can any conservative like him. That isn’t America anymore. It might be again one day with hard work turning the culture around but the people are not going to vote in someone like Cruz for now. Jeff is basically advocating for people to support Cruz because his principles and record are the best of the candidates (which they clearly are) but leaves unmentioned that he’ll lose and lose huge on election day. Defeat with our heads held high is what he’s talking about. Me, I’d rather roll the dice on Trump. Even as a democrat, he’s at least a pro-American democrat which is at odds with the anti-American democrats in the democrat party. Maybe Trump can make the Republican brand a little bit cool again so that the President after him could be more like Cruz. But we cannot get from a welfare addicted SJW society to a President Cruz in one move. Wishing won’t make it so.
