West Hollywood House of Horrors: Radical Lesbian Feminists From Hell
Posted on | October 24, 2015 | 42 Comments
Halloween approaches, and a coven of Canadian witches have brought their dark and ungodly evil to sunny Southern California:
ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives has organized “KillJoy’s Kastle,” a “Lesbian Feminist haunted house.” ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is a part of the University of Southern California’s Libraries.
“Lesbian Rule. Forget the dead this Halloween. Feel the pulsing throb of something larger than life in KillJoy’s Kastle,” reads USC’s website.
KillJoy’s Kastle will be a “sex positive, trans inclusive, queer lesbian-feminist-fear-fighting celebration,” put together by Toronto based-artists Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell and organized by “ONE Archives in West Hollywood.”
“This haunted house of freaky feminist skill sharing and paranormal consciousness-raising reanimates the archive of lesbian herstory with all its wonders and thorny complications,” they explain. “Expect horror.”
“Dare to be scared by gender-queer apparitions,” it continues, “ball-busting butches, and never-married, happy-as-hell spinsters.. . . . Each evening of nightmarishly non-assimilated lesbian mayhem will include multiple live performances from a spirited group of international and local weirdos.”
This is what feminism means in 2015, sponsored by an elite private university (annual tuition at USC is $$50,210) and promoted by those “mainstream” feminists at Huffington Post:
A large part of the performer-driven space is audience interaction. In other contexts, this might mean having teenagers in monster masks snarling at you for a cheap scare, but at KillJoy’s Kastle, you participate in myriad ways — from the physical to the more cerebral.
You might punch a bag emblazoned with the word “capitalism” on it. Or you might take a shot of liquor from a witch’s fake penis.

You see this is what feminism means in 2015 and, if you study the movement’s history, you know this is what feminism always was.
“The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. . . It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.”
— Pat Robertson, 1992
It is illegal to read a Bible or pray in public schools, but "Heather Has Two Mommies" is mandatory, because "tolerance."

@rsmccain @AureliusPundit You know if you look in the mirror at midnight and chant "Men are pigs" three times, Andrea Dworkin appears.

For an SJW, their recreation is their politics, their politics is their therapy, their therapy is their religion, their religion is their art, and their art is their recreation. All of which, in his/her case, never result in the fun, achievement, healing, peace, or beauty these respective parts of life traditionally accomplish.

This is why I would never accept a wedding invitation in this country today, let alone get married here. I’d fly my fiancée to someplace where the term “marriage” still meant something.

At least give them credit for calling this enterprise, “Killjoy’s Kastle.” One thing these types are always good at, is taking the fun or happiness out of anything they infest.

I’m the kind of man that is no longer scared by “haunted houses” so I simply admire them for their creativity and presentation. After all, how can a haunted house compare to headline news for sheer blood curdling terror?
But after reading this article, I can honestly say that this is a house that would scare the hell out of me.

There is no escape from the demons in their heads. So they feel compelled to share them with the rest of us.

The whole “Épater la bourgeoisie” schtick is becoming very tired. At some point, you stop being “edgy” and simply become a pervert.
As for me, I celebrate Reformation Day on October 31.
October 24th, 2015 @ 4:28 pm
I think you’ll need a time machine to accomplish that.

As far as I’m concerned, if you were “married” in America after June 26, 2015, then you ain’t married.

It’s amazing how this narcissistic cult turns any cultural artifact they touch into a reflection of their bizarre obsession. Probably there’s a book somewhere telling how to hike the Inca Trail lesbian-style.
I always thought Joanna Russ’s mien would be more fit for a haunted house where she’d bake pre-op children into a pie-chart than writing SF. Andrea Dworkin could be a Tor Johnson with no change in costume or make-up whatsoever. A mullet coming at me in the dark with that jingling of the ultra-long key chains is plenty fearful. Frankly they’d be better off having one day a year where they act normal. A freak show on day 365 of a freak show ain’t exactly news.

I think you’ve hit on it. I would find it exhausting to be a lesbian. Do they never shut up about being lesbians?
October 24th, 2015 @ 5:08 pm
If they did – horror of horrors! – they might discover just how empty their Souls are.
October 24th, 2015 @ 5:09 pm
You Heathen you.

Pardon, but they aren’t witches.
They are certainly misguided though…

For Hallowe’en I dress up as Ben Bernanke, jump out of the local corn maze and tell the families what I’ve done to their 401(k). Scares the CRAP out of them.

I’m guessing that’s not Ms.Tongco’s first experience with a fake penis.

Lesbian suffrage marches on. Imagine a world without the horrors of a dominant heterosexual binary. Ants would rule.

What? No transgender house of horrors? See the Water is Wet Room of Horror! Arrrgghh! The Fire is Hot Exhibit. Arrrghh! Sand is Dry. Watch Out!!! Argggghhh!

“Life”? Like as in babies?
October 25th, 2015 @ 4:08 pm
Hence a comment I’ve made before. If you define yourself solely by your sexuality, and not as a PERSON, you never gain acceptance.
October 25th, 2015 @ 4:31 pm
“Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.” Do these sex activists (of all stripes) realize just how goring and tedious they have become?
October 25th, 2015 @ 7:32 pm
How can it be a Feminist Scary House if there are no men in it?
October 25th, 2015 @ 7:55 pm
Yes, “Killjoy’s” is a case of supposed irony which is actually straight description.
October 25th, 2015 @ 8:42 pm
Except on Tumblr!
October 25th, 2015 @ 10:05 pm
“Straight description”?

Yeah, I know. I also accept no dinner invitations from my Papist friends on August 23-24 every year.
: )

These lefties love them some corpo-babble, don’t they?
October 26th, 2015 @ 11:14 am
I used to have a lesbian friend who truly believed that all women are lesbians, but most just don’t realize it yet. She never forgave me for marrying a man and proceeding to bear his children.

Manipulation of language is key to the strategy.
Sloganeering like “sex positive celebration” or “Hope and Change” may be good for the lumpenproletariat but more sophisticated manipulation is required for those who aren’t plugged into the Tee Vee for 18 hours per day.
For example our interlocutor from academe “Austin Bailey”, on the earlier thread A Yale-Educated Feminist Calls Herself a “Morally Vacuous Harlot” said:
…I fundamentally reject the word “whore” as anything but a reified hate word that corresponds to no meaningful description of any concrete or locatable reality…
I assume he was referring to the Marxist definition of reification as opposed to the logical fallacy or other definitions. So, maybe he actually meant “objectification”. The larger point is that he rejects the use of the word itself and the empirical evidence behind its use, that whoring is a destructive thing to an individual and society. Perhaps he hasn’t seen enough a posteriori evidence (pun intended) of the destructiveness of whoring or maybe it’s just feminist academia-induced doublethink.
Also I noticed his rejections of our hosts’ writing as well as other comments had to contain the word “hate” within the dismissal.
October 26th, 2015 @ 6:49 pm
At least they’re up-front about it. That probably puts them in the top one percent of feminists for honesty.
October 27th, 2015 @ 7:37 am
I suppose, since he has no notion of what sexuality ought to be, and rejects the common construction of such, then any negative judgement on another’s genital play must be “reified” by definition.
Wake me when the Visigoths arrive.

The funny thing is, I’m sure she would easily recognize the solipsism in straight guys believing that all the pretty lesbians are really straight and just need to find the right guy — but I also expect that she would never in a million years admit that she’s doing the exact same thing.
October 27th, 2015 @ 9:47 am
this has potential to be the scariest haunted house ever created, though not for the reasons the creators intended.
