Why Do Feminists Hate Sex Robots?

Professor Kathleen Richardson wants to ban sex robots.

In the zero-sum-game worldview of feminism, anything that makes men happy is bad. Kathleen Richardson, a professor at De Montfort University in England, is afraid that having sex with robots will make men happy:

“Sex robots seem to be a growing focus in the robotics industry and the models that they draw on — how they will look, what roles they would play — are very disturbing indeed,” she told the BBC.
She believes that they reinforce traditional stereotypes of women and the view that a relationship need be nothing more than physical.
“We think that the creation of such robots will contribute to detrimental relationships between men and women, adults and children, men and men and women and women,” she said.

Notice that Dr. Richardson is only worried about how these robots would affect “traditional” stereotypes of women, whereas stereotypes of men are evidently not at all “disturbing” to her. While I am also against robot sex — it’s just plain creepy — I might change my mind if scientists could program these robots to make sandwiches.

We wouldn’t want feminist professors to make sandwiches, would we?

That would be “very disturbing indeed.”

    She’s right that men turning away from women and choosing “sex” with inanimate objects that mimic the physical appearance (and I assume tactile characteristics) of women will damage relationships.

    She’s right.

    If she’s as much of a feminist as she appears to be at first glance, then there is sure to be much that she believes which is wrong and even insane.

    Does that mean she should be belittled when she’s right?

    Yeah, Sexbots sound great, but virtual reality will be the real gamechanger. Occulus will be crude, true, but not to worry! Hordes of horny nerds will get it right. Imagine, hacking the brain stem, directly involving your senses……and it just so happens that you have a new program featuring Alba…….truly, what woman can compete with that?

    Sci-fi predicts that it will be extremely addictive. Tell me, please…..just where do you see a complaining woman in this picture?

    And that’s what’s coming…..masculine horniness will deliver. Who would have thought that feminism would sew such a bitter harvest?

    Fact is, she’s right that women will be severely damaged when men go for the sexbots. I personally believe that virtual reality will be much worse for society. But as Vox says…..we don’t care. Actual indifference is truly destructive to women. Genetically, it means that they aren’t worth protecting. That their children would die. You see, women will grovel, beg, and plead to avoid such a grim fate…..and that would have worked in the past. But, now men are being savagely attacked for being male…..and we know how to deal with that. We just shelter in place, and let nature and karma take its course. And, yes, that means we do absolutely nothing to help or protect these sorry excuses for women. When people hate you, you let them die as they will.

    Why the hell do men get blamed for stereotypes? Male attraction is MASSIVELY more diverse than female attraction. Anything a woman hates about her body, she can rest assured there’s a bunch of guys super into it. When women diversify THEIR preferences to the point they have porn of “Short, Bald FILFS”, THEN they can lecture us about stereotypes.
    What’s the percentage of women who actively prefer short men? Like .01 percent?

    Women should be against sex robots for the same reason that taxi fleet drivers are against Uber.

    Robots and AI are no where near advanced enough to give red blooded women a challenge. I’m not leaving my girlfriend for a cross between a Rumba and a blow up doll.

    It’s funny because the reality is that any man who is spending a great deal of time having sex with a robot is in reality likely *very* unhappy. So as is pretty much always the case, the Feminists are wrong. Just not for the usual reasons.

    It is pretty definite hat this is apocryphal.

    There are several variants of this story, involving different famous women of Churchill’s era. The most common version has Lady Nancy Astor as the antagonist, and ends with Churchill noting that he will be sober in the morning – leaving the second implication potently unstated.

    Cherry 2000 not ONLY was a sexbot who could speak English – she cleaned house and cooked, too! (You just only saw that part in the opening credits.)

    Oh, this transhumanist nonsense about “sex robots” has to stop – now.

    Young men need to get into sexual relationships with young women through dating – and they need these experiences for their healthy personal development. The skills a man acquires from sexual relationships don’t exist in isolation, but they play an integral role in his ability to deal with women competently in the rest of life.

    These skills even matter in your relationship with your mother, believe it or not. Many involuntarily celibate, adult virginal men (called “incels” on the internet) will tell you that their relationship with their parents deteriorated in their 20’s when the parents saw that their sons couldn’t attract women.

    And women these days seem inclined to evict more and more young men from having sexual relationships because women prefer to have their early experiences with the minority of bad boys, cads, jerks and thugs who appeal to female emotional immaturity and poor judgment. Women turn to the nerds for boyfriends and husband prospects later, reluctantly and without enthusiasm, because the math doesn’t work out for the kinds of men women prefer. Hence all the sexless marriages, female infidelity, cuckoldry and wife-instigated divorces we see in developed countries.

    Which assumes that women would even bother with the nerds at all, when the modern welfare state and ridiculous make-work for women in government agencies and corporate HR departments remove the need for husbands as providers. The trend towards sexual eviction has progressed so far in Japan that reportedly a quarter of unmarried Japanese men in their 30’s have remained virgins, despite Japan’s proximity to other Asian countries with sex tourism industries. Japan has a funny way of living “20 minutes into the future,” so we should study what happens there to see sexual tends in other developed and developing countries.

    So why would anyone consider sex robots and similar technologies a good idea? They would just exacerbate the trend of creating an even bigger population of psychologically stunted adult virgin men who can’t function outside of their parents’ basements.

    No, responsible people need to call out this abomination and explain how badly it would damage men. The whole idea shows a real lack of respect for men by saying that they don’t deserve relationships with women and that they can’t do any better than to jerk off with machines.
