Everybody Is Shocked — Shocked! — the Administration Falsified ISIS Intellgence

Posted on | September 10, 2015 | 39 Comments

Political “leaders” demand dishonest spin:

More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the U.S. military’s Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al Qaeda’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials . . .
The accusations suggest that a large number of people tracking the inner workings of the terror groups think that their reports are being manipulated to fit a public narrative. . . .
The analysts have accused senior-level leaders, including the commander in charge of intelligence and his deputy in CENTCOM, of changing their analyses to be more in line with the Obama administration’s public contention that the fight against ISIS and al Qaeda is making progress.

Ace of Spades:

So, how does a president who’s failing catastrophically overseas hide that information from his domestic audience?
Simple answer, really: You lie about everything.

It’s Potemkin villages all the way down.

But, but, but they told me that only evil Rethuglicans and the antichrists of Bushitler and Darth Cheney pressure folks to politicize intelligence reports. You are telling me that twice the when I voted for the hope that politics would have been removed from society, that I was lied to. Oh next you will tell me that the Bindel Camp for male relaxation and stress reduction is really some sort of killing field or that the investment company looking to make a 6 lane super highway from Oklahoma City to Guam is a scam.

As the old saying goes: if you want to know what Democrats are up to, look at what they’re accusing Republicans of. Democrats have been beating the ‘fake intelligence’ drum for far too long to have not been engaging in it themselves.

It doesn’t bother me as much that the Obama admin lies to people as that the press covers his ass and that white guilt/black racism overlooks it and most people continue to praise this evil incompetent as a savior.

The next administration will have a mess to clean up in a bevy of agencies. And in addition…

    They need to get even:

    1. A law which prohibits non-profit corporations from offering interstate contracts incorporating honoraria which exceed a certain formulaic value derived from the enrollment, employment, income, or endowment of the philanthropy in question and derived also from the nominal compensation per worker in the economy. You get $22,000, car fare, and Best Western, to speak at Ohio State, and less everywhere else.

    2. And also limits BO’s ownership of his ‘papers’ to diaries and commonplace books written in his own hand.

    3. And also authorizes the construction of a modular records center in Kansas City, provides for the removal of the archival contents of all presidential libraries there, deeds those libraries over to the county governments in question, and ends any authorization to ever again build any such institution with public funds or maintain it with public funds.

    4. And also which limits his retirement benefits to a lump sum derived from his contributions or a stream limited to an actuarially sound derivative of his contributions.

    5. And also which strips him of any post-presidential office staff.

    6. And also denies him or anyone around him any Secret Service protection.

And an indictment would be even better if the goods are there.

I’m not aware of anyone praising him as a ‘savior’. The closest you get is Daniel Drezner rolling his eyes at anyone who criticizes anything he does abroad (which should tell you something about Daniel Drezner).

Oh, I recall people lampooning things uttered seven or eight years ago (e.g the McCain ad with Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears in it).

The partisan Democrats in my social circle tend not to have high visceral investment in electoral politics or are interested in passing issues and not personalities, so he is just not a topic of discussion. Their mostly Southerners, too, and their sensibility diverges from that of New York or San Francisco liberals. That may distort my perspective some.

Then there was that squirm inducing ad Ashton Kuchner and Demi Moore did about how they would “serve” President Obama.

Plenty of other examples, such as Mark Morford calling Obama a “Lightworker.”. There’s no excuse for pretending you’re not aware of them.

And no, being a troll is not sufficient excuse.

The indictment should’ve been handed down probably six years ago. President Biden wouldn’t have been elected in 2012, and in 2016 we would’ve been looking at the reelection campaign of President Romney. Who wouldn’t have been much better, except there might’ve been less lying, and for sure, better race relations. And one would hope, less spending and a stronger economy.

Ehhh…but you know, they’re all sock puppets anyway, or they don’t get put in office.

Just a reminder before Scooter Libbey went down for a liberal media faux paus. The question on all of the most basic juice box journalist was “When did Bush Lie?” and “When did he pressure others to violate ethics in intelligence?”

The first hints of an Intelligence Failure in the great ones administration. No talk of political pressure but plenty of blame on the Intelligence appratus for not being more forceful. Nothing else asking if the Intelligence was correct. Plenty of blame on Bushitler for allowing ISIS to appear and further reasons that blood of innocents are on his hands by most of the left leaning media.

Chemical weapons were found and destroyed along with 22 Tonnes of yellowcake shipped to Canada for disposal. Chem weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction, and the yellowcake is a way station on the road to nukes. The discover of both are within the errors of intell and I don’t see that anyone lied or covered up anything. What I do see is an attempt by leftards to blow something up beyond what the evidence indicates for their own purposes.

Offtopic but relevant to Sex Trouble: this idiot of a Representative thinks private schools should be expelling men that they think only have a 20 percent chance of being guilty of “sexual harassment” (hat tip: Twitchy):

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2571784

    Money quote:

“I mean, if there’s 10 people that have been accused and under a reasonable likelihood standard maybe one or two did it, seems better to get rid of all 10 people,” Polis said. “We’re not talking about depriving them of life or liberty, we’re talking about their transfer to another university.”

I don’t really care to rehash all of that. I just wanted to make note of how even in 2003 just after the Valarie Affair was playing out questions of cooked intelligence was one of those things that the media and left bit into like a pitbull. That said there have been intelligence was ignored or cooked by the current shining light and no one in the media cares. If they do care then it’s obviously war mongering neo-cons or neo-facist elements still in government positions that are creating this faulty intelligence that all is well and ISIS isn’t a threat. The members of the one and the One would never do that.

  28. Jason Lee
    September 10th, 2015 @ 3:32 pm

Why settle for 20%? If the representative wants to prove his commitment to his principles, he should draw the line no higher than 0%. A man accused of “sexual harassment” should be expelled unless he can prove his innocence beyond a shadow of a doubt, right?

Oh, and by the way, have you guys heard that Rep. Jared Polis molests boys?

  29. Art Deco

I’m not sure what you’d have indicted Obama for in 2009, or how you could have jimmied him out of office without the co-operation of Harry Reid et al.

  30. Art Deco
    September 10th, 2015 @ 4:27 pm

I’ve never heard of Mark Morford. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are in a trade that does not select for intelligence, as is Jamie Foxx. Not sure who the ‘we’ is to which Barbara Walters refers. The Kutcher and Moore quote would appear to be from six or seven years ago and the Walters quote retrospective. The phrase in CrustyB’s post is ‘continue to praise’, which refers to things said now, not stupid things said by cradle-robbing bimbos in 2008 (or, re Foxx, 2012).

I think academic historians will give it the old college try re Obama, but their heart will not be in it. His inadequacy is just too glaring. It took 28 years between the death of John Kennedy and the publication of A Question of Character. The attrition rate in BOs reputation amongst the chatterati may be lower because he’ll still be alive, but he’ll also be starting from a lower base.

The imagery of news photos is a reflection of the opinion of the photographers, since they’re pros.

To be fair, there was a photo of Ted Cruz like that. On the other hand, in context, it appeared to be ironic.

I was previously unaware of it being alleged that
Rep. Jared Polis (D) CO molests boys. To be fair about it I searched the internet for stories about him denying these allegations but was unable to find any.

He should be given the opportunity to clear his name, just as Senator Harry Reid has been given time to deny his own involvement with with under age boys.

Being the open minded person I am, I will continue to look for these denials.
