Netanyahu Wins, Obama Loses

Posted on | March 18, 2015 | 45 Comments

It was profoundly weird to watch coverage of the Israeli elections Tuesday. At one point, I saw CNN’s John King doing exit poll results as if this was a U.S. presidential election and I was like, “What the hell is this?” What it was, of course, is that American Democrats (including members of President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign team) had launched an enormous effort to defeat Israel’s conservative Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Predictably, the liberal media jumped aboard this Democrat-driven anti-Netanyahu bandwagon, and yesterday there was a palpable excitement from the media talking heads as they anticipated the imminent defeat of the Dreaded Right-Wing Jew.

Israeli voters, however, decided that Democrats and their liberal media friends must cry the tears of unfathomable sadness:

Barack Obama might have hoped for a leadership change that would reboot his poisoned relationship with Israel’s government. But he didn’t get it on Tuesday, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 00 thanks in part to a hard lurch right — appeared to make a dramatic comeback after trailing in pre-election polls.
As votes were counted Tuesday night, Netanyahu claimed a dramatic comeback victory. “Against all odds: A great victory for the Likud. A major victory for the Israeli people,” he posted on Facebook.

In the Obama Age, everything is about Obama, even the elections in Israel. Steven Kruiser at PJMedia comments:

The last few days were absolutely polluted with stories about Netanyahu’s imminent political demise, with the most popular version of the tale being that he ruined his chances by angering great and powerful thin-skinned consumer of canines currently occupying the Oval Office.
One does not hurt Barack Obama’s feelings without some backlash.
Now that Obama has once again been revealed impotent in helping candidates not named Barack Obama to victory, his media petting zoo is out of sorts. They will be expending a lot of effort to explain exactly why this victory wasn’t really a victory.

What is the point of swaying all these polls to be so dishonest. Apparently poll taking has been perfected to the point that they can say whatever they want to say with a poll and we can’t trust any of it.
That being said, Obama has now suceeded in making Israeli nationalism the enemy of the American left, so congrats on that count. Nothing like turning your strongest middle eastern ally into a liability.

When I got up this morning I was thrilled to see the headline on Drudge announcing the win. Bubba sent some of his minions over there to beat Bibi first time he was PM. They managed to put Bibi on the street. Zer0, OTOH, has failed once more.
But, then, Zer0 is simply an epic failure anyway.

Unfortunately, he’s not good at nothing. He’s been very effective at pushing through his agenda. It’s just not what any reasonable person would want.

Amazing. The polls were, once again, flat wrong.
A nice kick to the shins of the Obama regime …. I love it,

Prime Minister Netanyahu, (supposedly) behind in the polls, made a big campaign change the day before the election, saying that there would be no independent Palestinian state during his watch . . . and then Likud did unexpectedly well in the election. Post hoc does not always mean propter hoc, but that was the one big change that could well have changed the election.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Iran’s reaction to this is. In the back of my mind I suspect that Obama’s tampering in the Israeli election was part of the deal he made with Iran.

And now Obama has failed to live up to his end of the bargain.

The liberals on Politico forums were setting up the narrative: mess with Obama and feel his wrath.
It was very obvious they were going to rub the right’s noses in this had Bibi lost. So when he won, we rubbed their noses in it instead.
Not only was this an individual victory, but I made sure to point out the wider pattern of leftist FAILURE.
Rule #1: Destroy the enemy’s morale.

Obama has been successful because of the very low-quality “leadership” on the right.

Is it just me, or does Netanyahu look like he’s only just restraining himself from snapping Obama’s spine in two there and then? Part of me (a rather large part) wishes he actually would.

They managed to fool themselves more than everybody else. The reality challenged, remain reality challenged. The reality they ignored is that Israel doesn’t have a two party system. It wasn’t enough to diminish Bibi’s share of seats. His coalition’s share of seats had to be reduced for HIM to loose.

  21. Adobe_Walls
    March 18th, 2015 @ 2:02 pm

The polls weren’t that wrong, Likud lost at least a couple seats. What the forces of evil completely ignored was that Bibi’s other coalition partners were picking up voters more than the Labour party.

  22. Art Deco
    March 18th, 2015 @ 3:24 pm

No. Likud and Yisrael Beitanu won 31 seats in the elections to the last Knesset and will have between them perhaps 33, 34, or 35 seats in the upcoming Knesset.

No. The Jewish Home lost seats, as did Shas.

President Stompy-Feet stomps his feet. How dare the the world see how a real leader deals with adversity, and wins while doing so. Benjamin Netanyahu shows the world how small 0bama is.

Obama never went to Paris to side with our allies, The Western Coalition. Incredible !! The sooner those allies of ours do to Obama what Netanyahu was intelligent and gutsy enough to do, the better for all of the Western World and its allies. It would be great to witness Boehner inviting the leaders of France, Denmark, Italy, England, Germany, etc to speak to Congress without asking for “permission” from the most disrespectful leader ever to occupy our white house. It’s the least the liar deserves.

He’s also good at stealing elections. Read what film director Bettina Viviano found out what occurred at the DNC in 2008 (directly from the mouths of the shocked Clinton delegates –when she interviewed them). It’s on youtube.

  37. biilyjoe
    March 19th, 2015 @ 2:07 pm

He’s been “successful” because he has people who literally know how to get away with murder covering his every move. See Bettina Viviano on youtube.

  38. biilyjoe
    March 19th, 2015 @ 2:12 pm

Yes, he does. That’s because the muslims, the race-baiting racists, and the American liberal press/ communists haven’t trained Netanyahu to look at Obumma with “rose-colored glasses” as they have the American idiots who “supposedly” voted for him twice.

  39. biilyjoe
    March 19th, 2015 @ 2:19 pm

Obongo has tampered with and violated so much with his lies here in our country and gotten away with it , he figured he could easily do the same to a small country like Israel. It was crucial that Netanyahu come to the U S and speak to Congress which is finally showing some spine against him. Boehner and the republicans made a great move by showing the Israelis that they still/now have American support despite the traitor in the white house.

  40. Hanzo
    March 19th, 2015 @ 4:01 pm

Indeed. The community agitator has taken election theft to new heights. If 2008 presidential election didn’t prove it, 2012 definitely did.
I live in Ohio and massive voter fraud was detected, almost nothing came of it. Some counties around the Cleveland area had more votes for Obama than there were registered voters on the county roles. In Cincinnati POLL WORKERS were found guilty of voter fraud.

  41. biilyjoe
    March 19th, 2015 @ 6:41 pm

And so many idiots still think their mullah is on the level. I read about the one woman who was not only a poll watcher but also voted for Obama for her comatose sister and herself; they jailed her, let her out of jail early and then Sharpton came and had a party for her /made a hero out of her. These people have no consciences—from their “ministers” and most of their leaders right down to the bottom of their pile.

  42. Hanzo
    March 19th, 2015 @ 7:31 pm

    True.
The poll worker you mention is like 60 and she said that she’d do anything to make sure Obama got elected, her exact words. The charge you mention was the 1 she was convicted on. She confessed to voting 5 or 6x, she couldn’t remember (she voted with her daughters name, also some absentee ballots. Yeah, she voted for them at the polls and absentee). She was defiant when she was first busted, also saying she’d do it again if she could. As the trial loomed closer she suddenly became very sorry.lol

  43. biilyjoe
    March 19th, 2015 @ 9:13 pm

I saw her as she (it was also on youtube) was leaving the courtroom and she looked straight at the judge and said “thank you , judge”. I didn’t take that tone as sorry; I took it as haughty, arrogant, and defiant. Then again we’re talking here about people who are flat out criminal and hate the law. They learn how to lie, cheat, steal from the time they’re 5 years old. And then they get affirmed by people like holder, Sharpton, Obama. That’s why our public schools in all those locations have fallen apart.

  44. Hanzo
    March 19th, 2015 @ 9:26 pm

That was when the judge handed down a reduced sentence. She was bawling her eyes out on local tv in the weeks leading up to her trial, when she realized she might actually get in real trouble.
Yeah, downtown Cincinnati is a craphole, just like any other urban jungle.
    Nice suburbs though. lol

  45. biilyjoe
    March 20th, 2015 @ 7:33 am

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. Suburbs still better but the inner ring suburbs, like Ferguson , are slowly becoming carbon copies of Detroit with the continuation of handout programs like Section 8 housing , etc etc that the Democrats use to buy votes–at middle class taxpayers’ expense— since Johnson started the mess in 1966. It adds insult to injury. And the whites in the police force –attacked by holder/Obama/Sharpton liars are forced out of their jobs under another travesty brought on by democraps : “affirmative ” action.
