This thing will have at least a half life well into 2016 no matter what Dems and media hacks or Clinton’s MIB squad say. The notion that nobody not involved in politics or the news business cares will I think prove incorrect.

The idea that “no one cares about Hillary’s email scandal” is the biggest piece of wishful thinking since Anthony Weiner tried to delete his junk tweets.

I agreee. The public does care and a lot of it has to do with Hillary’s personality. While some politicians have a gift for deflection (Reagan and Obama) others seems to be like fly paper when it comes to having attacks stick (real or imagined)–Romney and Hillary are like that. This is real and it is sticking to Hillary.

The Weiner thing literally had sex appeal. This one is different because of the stakes. I think people are going to look harder this time. Her I have a right to privacy gambit isn’t going to fly. In the first place she’s a public figure, on top of that she’s running for president. People who are too young to remember the 90s are too young to remember when there were much more reasonable expectations of privacy. The rest of us already know what a sleazy piece of work she. Everything she said in that presser was a word parsing half-truth or an outright lie. Her whole scheme was to hide everything and it shouldn’t be that hard to build a trust-ability narrative around that.

There is no connection at all to any of this and to say that there is means you are a tinfoil nutter. I mean there is also no evidence that this might even be a cover job by a some of her sycophants to help have a Lerner style “accident” with the email servers. Again to say so would be like saying the Moon is an alien space ship or the true shooters in Ferguson this week was white cookie clanish like nuts.

    Smitty,
I will say it again, that yes no one cares. All you have to do is google or bing your way through the news databases and search terms related to FOIA violations, Sunshine Law violations and see that no one cares about these things if there is someone in the PTA not turning over emails related to PTA business as per the law, the judicial and executive in the City doesn’t care. That there is some portion of the Hydra that makes up City or County does the same thing and the checks on those abuses are not challenged properly by the other two branches. I mean its even worst with the Federal government as the US Chamber of Commerce and some others have reported on how the EPA, ATF, FAA, FTC, FCC, etc; have done things where they offer up ways to restrict or eliminate how the population or the duly elected overseers to make sure that the FOIA and Open Records laws are accomplished. The media doesn’t care unless its some conservitative they hate, see the PDS around 6 email accounts for the left wingers favorite misogynist target (http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2011/06/15/six-e-mail-accounts-governor-palin/). Then compare that uproar to how they have been dragged almost kicking and screaming into the IRS, EPA and now Hillary scandal of emails and no records.

People don’t care or react to all of those because Dancing with the Stars doesn’t show PSAs during the commercial breaks. At some point people will start paying attention to the race and this story whether they like or not. Ads. Designing the narrative should be easy, the Republican Party just needs to do something useful for once and start looking ahead of the next couple of turns for once. Getting the money should be no problem, this is part of the strategy for whoever wins the nomination. The clamor will die down eventually. but every now and then it will resurface as a court decision is announced or even new facts come to light. Hillary will have to start campaigning sooner or later and I don’t think she handles pressure well.

Yea I was trying to be snarky and trying to parody the usual leftist ways they defend thier favorite political, business, social or entertainment types that have low ethics or moral lapses

All I am saying is the people are so used to be lied to and having transparency law violations occur at levels of thier government. That they are used to it like some are used to broken windows in thier neighborhoods.

    http://www.katu.com/news/local/Secret-Cover-Oregon-legislative-oversight-committee-meetings-may-violate-public-meetings-law-252853331.html?mobile=y

What is even worse is that at times there are actors in the state, like the public service unions have sued or filed briefs in support if such violations in the name of effective negotiations. http://www.myfreedomfoundation.com/blogs/liberty-live/stop-governor-inslees-secret-meetings

So it has happened, will happen and happening now. The media when annoyed enough will research it, but never follow up when the case goes against government or one of the leftists favored business arrangements.

One reason is because these days, everybody can relate to the ability of having multiple emails on one device. Her lie was just so fantastic that nobody can defend it with a straight face. This is the problem (for her) of lying about smartphones to a populace addicted to smartphones.

People who normally don’t care will ask “Is she stoopid?”, when we all know that it’s her who thinks we’re stoopid. Either way, “stoopid” enters into it, which is good.

“the Republican Party just needs to do something useful for once”

If we have to rely on that, we’re in serious trouble.

The trick is manipulate the media into covering the story and have a plan to exploit the moment when it comes and it will come. If people are paying attention there is no defense for Hillary’s actions. She isn’t entitled to secrecy and unethical behavior in order to cover up her other unethical actions. Then make the story about her inherent and constant dishonesty. The Email scandal is just another chapter. This is typical Clinton behavior and people aren’t going to think it’s as cute as Chris Mathews. Hillary can’t handle these situations like Bill could and will lash out, like she did in the hearings. She really is a nasty human being.

She not entitled to the level of privacy of the average person, the expectation of which is considerably less than it used to be. Her claims as to her motivations simply aren’t reasonable, Further more at least one of the links SAP put in his post below deals with email problems at State. They’ve shut down their system to root a bug out. This happens more than most of us realized. But email/server/computer stories are big now. These stories will get more coverage now and every report on them will mention Hillary’s email scandal. I’d say there’s a better than even chance that her server got hacked, if that’s established there’ll be even less justification or forgiveness for her actions.

I’d say there’s closer to 100% chance that the old hag got hacked.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that every presidential candidate should have to take a proctored test before being allowed to run, consisting of questions pertaining to the Constitution, the differences between the three branches of government and why those differences exist, the difference between a democracy, a republic, and a communist dictatorship, a variety of questions about American history and law, and also the definition of the words “transparency” and “accountability”. Test results, by law, should be published in a wide range of media, along with final test scores.

Oh, and also an essay question relating to the Federalist Papers and their underlying theme.

Obama would fail such a test. Biden would Christmas tree it. Hill wouldn’t be able to give an adequate explanation of why the Constitution is written the way it is. Fauxcahontas would try to get out of it based upon dicrimination claims.

To be fair, you would have to have a separate device if you use a government IS, you would be issued one to make sure it meets all the security requirements. One of which is it can’t have a camera. Blackberry is the only maker who has models that leave them out.

But her excuse it transparent BS – she proudly claimed she uses, what, 4 devices now?
