EmailGate Is Just How Her Majesty Rolls

Trende gets close to the bone in Why Clinton’s Emails Matter, which you should read. But it’s not just a case study in Advanced Scandal Choreography, as we move from
- Bibi (“Quick, #OccupyResoluteDesk is too amateurish”) to
- Her Majesty’s Secret Email Service to
- Oh My God! Those 47 GOP Senators said something concise and cogent pointing out, for the 1,103 time this Administration, the Rodeo Clown ain’t got sack.
As Trende points out, scandals come and go, cancelling across parties stochastically and sarcastically. Closer to the election is certainly worse, and Her Majesty must know that she’s got a full-on zombie parade to await, should the Royal Syllables condescend to grace the ballot. But this is Her Majesty, Hillary What-difference-at-this-point-does-it-make Diane I’ve-schemed-for-this-for-decades-and-this-is-MY-turn Rodham If-you-make-a-last-mistake-and-cross-me-you-get-Foster-care Clinton.
The woman doesn’t give a tinker’s dam about anything. This is the woman who doesn’t just fully comply with every rule, but “I fully complied with every rule I was governed by.” A look at her soiled career from Watergate to now indicates she’s been governed (in the sense of properly controlled) pretty much never. It’s always some angle, some nuance, some loophole she’s working.
A Hillary administration would likely deliver some email-gate style outrage frequently, perhaps weekly. Do you doubt that ObamaCare would be terminated and replaced with Single Prayer, should Her Majesty be the next Commie in the oval office? An even more weaponized IRS/DoJ tag team showering goon squads on the South and flyover country?
The good news about Her Majesty oozing toward a run is that these and other foreseen horrors are going to bring conservatives out of slumber. Every election is the Most Important Election In U.S. History, and 2016 isn’t going to disappoint in that regard.

This scandal has legs on both sides of the isle. Which is why Hillary should worry.

Perhaps before next year she kicks the bucket, and moves into her new home at the Eighth Circle Condos, Bolgia 5.

Hillary has nothing to worry about, she’s either toast or she’s not. This is an existential (possibly) threat to the Democratic party. Hillary has never been the potential candidate the Dems think she is. The only sure way for her to win is if the Republicans do something incredibly stupid like nominate Jeb Bush.
I saw a clip of O’Reilly yesterday with Monica Crowley and Kirsten Powers. At the end of the segment O’Reilly posed the hypothetical to Powers if Hillary were running against me would Powers vote for Hillary she of course said yes. But she thought about it for a second and then said she probably wouldn’t vote if Hillary was the nominee. One voice does not a trend make, but one very rarely hears democrats talk like that.

That would be bad actually, they’d probably run Chelsea and win.

She’s out.

Oh crap, she just turned 35!

I agree with what you are saying, other than saying she has nothing to worry about. Hillary wants to win and worries about that, but it may actually be a blessing for her to lose. Be careful what you wish for.

Smitty I’m not really all that impressed with Trend’s analysis. Particularly the part about Democrats not bailing on Hillary. There are Dems who love and who hate Hillary and to a lesser extent Bill, but nobody trusts either, nobody. Take Stephanopoulos. He claims he quit working for Bill because he lied about Lewinsky. Bullshit, he quit because Bill lied to HIM about Lewinsky. It isn’t that he trusted Bill Clinton but that he had some expectations. All Democrats who’ve been supporting the Clinton have certain expectations, chief among them is that Hillary will keep the White House in Democrat hands. They support her and in return she runs a competent enough campaign to keep them in power.
About a week before this latest pair of scandals there were several gushing stories about the advertising geniuses who were creating the bestest product rebranding ever. Oops. Someone said awhile ago that as ”Secretary of State she made a perfectly adequate first lady”. I doubt even that, but that is certainly the best she can ever be. Most of us have always known that, now the Democrats who didn’t are starting to suspect it as well. The smarter Democrats knew this in 08. That’s why so many bailed on her so readily as soon as there was a viable alternative. They don’t have a viable alternative this time. They know this. While some who are kicking her do genuinely see Warren as a viable, better candidate and even think she’ll be a great president. The rest like Fournier aren’t trying to clear a path for a better alternative, they’re kicking her for failing to meet their expectations.

Exactly, DeadMessenger should be careful what she wishes for.

If she drops out or looses she still has a life. Maybe a long and bitter life, but still a life. The Democratic party on the other hand…..
March 11th, 2015 @ 11:53 pm
She would enjoy grandchildren. Bill and her would probably try to live vicariously through Chelsea.
Would the Dems anoint Michelle Obama? Could she win (I bet she could beat Jeb).
March 12th, 2015 @ 12:52 am
Yeah, that’s it, Michelle’s the ticket. I doubt even Jeb could loose to her.
March 12th, 2015 @ 1:18 am
The left are delusional enough to think she has legs…actually even most of them must known she doesn’t.

Gee, thanks. My brain just exploded. Now I have to pick it all up off of the carpet and monitor and keyboard and everywhere. Hope the cat doesn’t eat any important parts before I get them stuffed back in. 🙁

Johnson was reelected in large part because he managed to convince the nation he was the continuation of a martyrs policies. They tried invoking Ted Kennedy’s name repeatedly for various bills shortly after his death, to much less effect. The case would be made that Hillary’s untimely demise was the only thing preventing the election of the first woman president and that not even Death (obviously a Republican) should be allowed to perpetrate such a cosmic injustice.

Hillary, America’s ex-wife.

I was just about to say “Who in their right mind would run that licker of liberal pig troughs, let alone vote for her?”, but then I remembered the current Occupant being voted in twice. So I got nuthin’.
March 12th, 2015 @ 6:53 am
Well, there’s always Sarah Palin. 😀
March 12th, 2015 @ 6:59 am
What are you saying Walls, no viability for the Wasserman-Schultz/Grayson administration?
Bwahahahaha! Wait a sec. That’s not funny. I have to live in Florida!
March 12th, 2015 @ 9:05 am
Nope, she made her name advising the House Committee on the Judiciary regarding Watergate where she was dismissed for, get this, being dishonest.
