Answer: Her Majesty Hath Decreed Him ‘Jebalicious’ To Her Chamber Pot Media

Question: Why does the MSM so love Jeb Bush?

. . .newspapers failed to see the big picture: At a conference [CPAC] that brings together conservative leaders from around the country, Mr. Bush was soundly booed and heckled. A packed room booed his stance on immigration — he called for “a path to legal status” for illegal aliens — and derided his support of Common Core as the soon-to-be candidate said the program does not amount to a federal takeover of education.

Even though Mr. Bush — as awkward as his brother when delivering speeches from teleprompters — had opted for a simple Q&A with a “friendly” moderator, Fox News’ Sean Hannity, there were plenty of disastrous moments, like when he was asked about his support, as governor, for offering drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens, which drew more boos.

It is blatantly obvious to even the most casual observer that, if you’re conservative and your name doesn’t rhyme with “trove” or “Hindu Kush”, your interest in Jeb hovers around that of contracting ebola.

But who else is keen? Why, Hillary, getting her grandma on there at her Georgetown estate. What better way to party like it’s 1992 than trick the GOP into nominating Jeb?

  • The narrative repositions Obama as “More of Same (Bush)” vice “Hope and Change”
  • Her Majesty, the victim of masculine oppression, barely held back the coming Russian night, and could have succeeded, if not for those meddling White House kids. Just look at how pear shaped things have gone since she left?
  • The American voters have a chance to un-soil themselves, after so disrespectfully rejecting HillaryCare in the ’90s. You got what you deserved in ObamaCare, ungrateful peasants, but now the wise and forgiving Hillary gonna wipe a boo-boo.

Fine print:

And if you godforsaken little Vast Right Wing Conspirators manage to thwart Her Majesty again, then the very Tribulation itself shall have been a trip to Disney World compared to her wrath. So you’d better tell that Cheese Head governor twerp to lay by his dish and let Jeb join Dole, McCain, and Romney in the Concession Speech Chorus, m’kay?

The Media loves a loser. Provided that “loser” is a Republican. And in the rare chance Hillary implodes and Jeb wins, he won’t cause too much damage.

They better love him while they can. Unless something happens to Walker and Rubio he’ll not go far.

It would be naive to think that any charges will be filed but this should be solid gold for any Republican candidates. If there was a viable Democratic alternative this story might cost Hillary the nomination.

This is the stuff that calls out Democrat hypocrisy. They decry corporations as not real humans (from a legal standpoint) but that is exactly the defense Hillary will use–I am not the Clinton Foundation.

Crikey. If the Progressives hadn’t spent the last century reducing the Constitution to a tattered prophylactic, that might actually give Her Majesty pause for thought.

As I said there’ll be no justice in this matter but Are you ready for Hillary because Qatar and Saudi Arabia certainly are will make a great campaign spot.

He endorses certain posistions they love, and he pisses off the base.

    See also, Jon Huntsman.

Wow, I literally never heard of the guy before, yet his Wikipedia page was basically a handjob with three exceptions: his incompetence as an ambassador to China, his incompetence as a presidential candidate, and his incompetence as a non-candidate. (That was special.) There are apparently some people out there that like him enough to be angry when he disappoints them.

I think jebbie is near, if not at, his high water mark. I don’t see him getting far in the primaries. The donor class seems to be having problems with him as well.

Rubio is completely unsuitable for any sort of responsible position in the federal government. Something better ‘happen’ to him.

Common core is the thin edge of a very large wedge of government involvement in education, it grows government. No conservative can support it. Any arguments by conservatives about its merits is mere rationalization. Bush cannot get out from under those facts.
Bush makes the same false choice pronouncements on immigration as Obama and many others. While he says some correct thing such as limiting new arrivals to spouses and minor children. But he, like many others asserts that since we won’t deport 11 million illegals, we have to legalize them. Why? We don’t have to do either.

I’ve seen this movie. The party chooses an anointed one…the people laugh. Conservative stars rise…the people cheer. Conservative stars supernova…the people weep. The anointed one wins the nomination…the people stay home. Repeat, repeat, repeat… It’s like living in a mobius strip.

Um, no. You can divide presidential candidates in to those who set up exploratory committees but close up shop before any balloting, those who win few ballots, and actual competitors. Over the period since 1985, most Republican candidates who could not be described as (a) opportunists or (b) Capitol Hill fixtures or (c) some variant of opinion monger (e.g. Dr. Keyes, Pat Robertson) or (d) George W. Bush were to be found in the first of these categories. You had about 7 aspirants who made it to category 2 (Jack Kemp, Pierre duPont, W.P. Gramm, John Kasich, Duncan Hunter, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry). Seven aspirants amounts to one candidate per election cycle who manages to hang about in the race until Iowa and New Hampshire vote. Gramm and Perry were the ones among them who had a supralocal constituency and only one (Kemp) had a national audience. Kemp discovered that the sort of people who show up at CPAC are not representative of Republican voters. So, only a star in a discrete subculture.

As for your competitors, you have one guy with issues (Ron Paul), one guy with a different set of issues (Newt Gingrich), and two guys combox sectaries have no use for (Huckabee, Santorum). Huckabee and Santorum did not do badly for two men who had had little previous national exposure. Gets them no respect, though.

I’d fault Bush for wanting to propagate another fad program through a federal apparat which has little legitimate warrant and which had done little demonstrable for education but distort it. I doubt the Common Core will make anything worse than it already is. It will just spin those wheels in a different direction.

Once again the thin edge of a very large wedge of government involvement. What, as it is no designed, good or harm it does is irrelevant. Even if it paved the minds of our children with gold, it is in essence merely another method of control.

Read Ace. He has the link to relevant vids and stuff.

Folks, this has, per Ace, made the 2016 race quite simple. He’s pretty much for the Let-It-Burn plan. I’m sympathetic. But I offer one thing to consider. We have one last chance to rescue what’s left from the wreckage. We must choose the right candidate this primary season. To that end, I give you K-Bob’s Razor; a question, similar to Reagan’s, “Are you better off” question. Only this is for the Primaries. You ask this of a candidate, either directly, or in your mind when considering your vote:

Are you willing to state in your inaugural address that, if someone has come to America illegally, it is your duty to tell them they must go home?
