400 Men Castrated by Cult?

Posted on | March 2, 2015 | 64 Comments

Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with feminism:

A man has been accused of encouraging hundreds of followers to be castrated in a promise for them to become closer to God.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, an Indian pop-star and telepreacher with a reported wealth of more than $50 million, is being investigated after he allegedly manipulated around 400 men to get their testicles removed — according to India Today.
One of his former followers who underwent castration seven years ago — named Hans Raj Chauhan — is one of the few to break the silence to speak out against him and the group.
“[The victims] were told that only those who get castrated will be able to meet God,” said Chauhan’s lawyer, Navkiran Singh, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Except that women get hysterectomies for medical reasons. Or in other worlds, in order to not die.

On the other hand, given the bizarre belief systems of feminists I would not be surprised were there a group that voluntarily had hysterectomies for some reason involving the patriarchy or redefining “woman” or whatever.

That’s precisely my assessment of him as well.

If human intelligence is the most useful of all natural resources, couldn’t we declare liberalism to be a crime against nature, for degrading that natural resource?

If some 400 males willingly agreed to be castrated, then it’s no loss anyway, because they weren’t actually men anyway.

I’ve thought about that, too. First, there’s no indication to me that any of his progeny carry his DNA other than possibly the girl, and no indication that there was any sort of romance with the mother, but rather with a cup.

I don’t mind being ostracized, but yeah, I lean toward “not a pedophile”, too. I feel deeply sorry for that guy. I think he was mind controlled by his handlers to Dr. Mengele proportions, including by his father; I don’t think he really wanted either the fame or the fortune that he generated (rather, that others wanted it from him), and that had his childhood not been taken away and manipulated by others, he might’ve been normal.

Yes, I’m not so good at judging physical resemblance beyond the obvious, but his daughter displays the natural confidence and glibness that you would expect from someone with the genetics for his remarkable talents. You’re also right that I sensed no passion between him and his wife, although I did sense a genuine fondness on her part.

I don’t know, he might have felt a genuine fondness too — it would be hard to tell with such a veteran performer — but mostly what I sensed from him was need.

I respectfully disagree. We could say the same thing about men that commit suicide — and while we hold them responsible for their decisions, when it’s a woman, we wonder what drove her to that point.

So if you had a thousand men on a battlefield, and two women; after today’s battle four hundred men are killed, and one woman; you can see the formula the BBC would use to report this: “401 soldiers were killed today, including 1 woman – a higher proportion than among male soldiers.”

Yeah, that Liv Tyler thing was a little perplexing. And then you have Georgia May Jagger with the same features as Mick, but somehow they look really good on her.

I know that I just said that I wasn’t very good at it, but I always saw a paternal resemblance if you took Steve’s bone structure and subtracted the testosterone. Liv is my mental model for the power of fame and fortune to juice a man’s genetic heritage.

PS: I would up vote you, but Discus has become truly anal and micromanaging, as one must registers and sign in to up vote. And THAT is nuts.
