Good Morning, Wombat. I think your headline for the military advisors has the country wrong. It’s “Iraq,” not “Iran.”

Maybe I’m not getting into the spirit of the thing, but I would have sold the Clippers to a Boer.
Oh, well, at least the Microsoft guy kept thousands of American minorities out of his business with H1B visas…

Indians (from India) are the fastest growing segment of illegal aliens. Many are visa overstays from the H1B visa program.

The story about the MN GOP is true but incomplete.
The one race where there was a desire from legislators and activists for the endorsed candidate to lose, the St. Michael-Albertville area State House seat currently held by Dave Fitzsimmons, who withdrew at the convention.
Eric Lucero challenged Fitzsimmons solely on the grounds of his vote for the same-sex marriage bill. Fitzsimmons voted for it to be on the conference committee to maintain a vital religious freedom amendment.
Lucero packed the caucuses and convention in his district, and reports noted how new these people were to the process. He also had misleading letters from various pressure groups to convince people. Kevin Kasel ran against Lucero because of the distrust of him in the base. Kasel was endorsed by many area legislators due to the distrust Lucero generated.
When it came down to it last night, Lucero won with 64% of the vote. My prediction: Lucero will be a one term guy who will be the odd man out of the Republican Caucus in the next legislature.

It’s all Kurdistan up there anyway, amirite? 😉
Fixed.

We only have so much room and can’t drill down to the state legislatures. If you want details on MN politics, I recommend Mitch Berg’s Shot In The Dark blog.

Hey I am a little bit concerned that RSM has not chimed in after yesterday’s developments. Understand his need to take a break from this, but would be nice to know that everything is OK – considering what he has been up against!

So evidently Robin Williams hung himself in the main house with a rope, and not “somehow, with something else” in the garage.
Basically, his last joke wasn’t funny. Even though there’s like, a “Clue” reference in there.
Maybe we’ll all get it eventually.
