Virginia Democrat Indicted on Pornography, Underage Sex Charges

You remember Virginia state legislator Joe Morrissey: Last year it was learned the 56-year-old Democrat delegate was under investigation in relation to a sleepover with underage girl.

That was 10 months ago. Now a grand jury has finally indicted him:

HENRICO — A special grand jury today issued five indictments against Del. Joseph D. Morrissey, D-Henrico, adding to a long political and legal career marked by controversy, sanctions and, now, allegations of illicit sex.
The charges by the grand jury meeting in Henrico include felony counts of indecent liberties with a minor, possession of pornographic images of an underage female and of solicitation to obtain the images.
“He had sex with her twice in his law office and texted someone about it,” special prosecutor William Neely said.
Morrissey also was indicted on a felony charge of distribution of child pornography and a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Another typical Democrat sex offender. Allegedly.

    I get so sick of “But, hey! That’s legal in another state!”

    So what? Sometimes books cost money, and sometimes they’re on a free cart outside the shop. You do what’s appropriate for the situation.

    If you can’t follow the laws of the land you’re standing on, then you’re a dog who needs to be hit.

    Self-control. Not so tough.

    I don’t know about that. Apparently being elected to office breaks down the mind’s ability to choose right from wrong.

    There are thousands upon thousands of cases to support this phenomenon.

    This jerk was regarded as an up and coming star prosecutor in the City of Richmond around the time I left in 1986. Shortly thereafter, he was in a heap of trouble for bizarre behavior in and out of the courtroom that affected dozens of criminal cases. I was sure it was the end of him, but he managed to get elected to the General Assembly and continued to build a record of being weird and unsavory, at times unethical and sometimes criminal.
