Shorter Krugman: ‘Kool-Aid, Anyone?’

Posted on | June 16, 2014 | 26 Comments

Delusional partisan cheerleading:

Several times in recent weeks I’ve found myself in conversations with liberals who shake their heads sadly and express their disappointment with President Obama. Why? I suspect that they’re being influenced, often without realizing it, by the prevailing media narrative.
The truth is that these days much of the commentary you see on the Obama administration — and a lot of the reporting too — emphasizes the negative: the contrast between the extravagant hopes of 2008 and the prosaic realities of political trench warfare, the troubles at the Department of Veterans Affairs, the mess in Iraq, and so on. The accepted thing, it seems, is to portray Mr. Obama as floundering, his presidency as troubled if not failed.
But this is all wrong. You should judge leaders by their achievements, not their press, and in terms of policy substance Mr. Obama is having a seriously good year. In fact, there’s a very good chance that 2014 will go down in the record books as one of those years when America took a major turn in the right direction.

A major turn in the right direction? Krugman isn’t just drinking the Kool-Aid, he’s huffing the glue and smoking the meth.

Krugman buries the lede. Because if 2014 is the year that America takes a major turn in the right direction, then 2009-2013 must have been wrong direction years – yet Krugman was busy telling us that those years were all so awesome. So If Krugman is right now, he was wrong then.

Of course, history says if its Krugman, its wrong.

Given just how much bs he’s carrying and spreading for O, I’d hazard that it isn’t meth but pcp. After all pcp is known for distorting the users reality and some abnormal feats of strength.

Well, Krugman is right about one thing (stopped clock, etc.):

There will be a major turn to the Right come this November.

So now he’s dismissing the objections of liberals. Soon it will be Krugman, alone in his office, shouting at the walls, until they come take him away.

Shorter Krugman? wouldn’t that be Robert Reich

Oblamo is either the most incompetent president in the history of the United States or he is accomplishing exactly the fundamental transformation of the US he claimed he was going to do.

    BO is not incompetent.

I began to appreciate the wit of James Carville back in the early ’90s, after Krugman went ballistic over some Clinton economic plans.

Snake said, “That Krugman is a real expert, all right – why, he predicted 19 of the last three recessions.”

And it was pretty much true. Krugman always played the role of the modern doomsayer, predicting bad things constantly, being constantly wrong but undeterred, and then when something inevitably does go wrong, they are on the rooftops screaming “I TOLD YOU SO!”

The environmentalists are famous for this, too. Remember before the threat was global warming which can only be prevented by giving more money and power to central governments, the threat was global cooling and the solution the same. Expect them to adjust the threat to “global stasis” at any time now.

Hey, Reich is 100% wrong on policy, too, but he has a sense of shame. The difference is similar to the reason they use lawyers in some experiments instead of lab rats – there are some things rats just won’t do.

Nope. If he were on track, he wouldn’t have botched all his own favored programs, too.

This guy is no mastermind. He watches TV and plays video games all day. He’s a trained monkey in a suit, not Machiavelli.

You think BOcare was botched? It was expected to fail to that the Dems could sweep in the government solution of single-payer.

Let’s see if we can cook up a good one…

They’ve figured out there’s a metric a$$load of water way down in the Earth’s mantle. Now this particular source of water, way down below the ocean (where I wanna be), is locked up inside minerals, so I’m guessing it forms some vitally important function in regulating the ahhh…Firma of Terra, without which…

..Oh, I’ve got it: without which the poles would no longer stay fixed in place.

So, too much fracking, and wa-laa! The aque-o-sphere loses it’s binding to the mineral, and suddenly liquifies, causing the crust to slide in any which direction. Like googly eyes on a muppet.

    Yeah, that’s the ticket.

    June 17th, 2014 @ 5:24 am

Sure, but BO was just the meat puppet with an amazing ability to bullshit. He probably knows about 1/3rd of what he’s actually talking about at any moment. But unlike Biden, he manages to avoid the worst gaffes.

All he does is rubber-stamp whatever Reid and Pelosi’s offices hork up on the floor. If the leftists love it, he’s for it.

That doesn’t exactly take any major calculating.

I think that was the plan originally but then the press labeled the ACA “Obamacare”. Obastard’s ego kicked in and he embraced it with a vengeance. It MUST work because it has his name on it. The thinking in Washington doesn’t go any deeper than that.
