We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful internet video that we had nothing do to with. It’s hard for the American people to make sense of that, because it is senseless, and it is totally unacceptable.”

We cannot forget how Hillary Clinton deliberately lied about the Benghazi attack, blaming it on “an awful internet video,” and spreading that lie everywhere in an attempt to conceal from American people the truth: This was an Islamic terrorist attack, there was advance warning of the danger, warnings which the State Department and the Obama administration failed to take seriously, so that when the attack came — on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 — they were unprepared to protect the lives of the Americans who died there.

We know this, and the American people deserve to know the truth, but Team Hillary doesn’t want them to learn the whole truth:

Hillary Clinton’s world was so worried about a Republican investigation of the Benghazi attacks, they sent a message to House Democrats: We need backup.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) publicly considered boycotting the panel, an idea that Clinton supporters feared would leave the potential 2016 candidate exposed to the enemy fire of House Republicans.
So Clinton emissaries launched a back channel campaign, contacting several House Democratic lawmakers and aides to say they’d prefer Democrats participate, according to sources familiar with the conversations. Pelosi’s staff said they have not heard from Clinton’s camp.
On Wednesday, Pelosi appointed five Democrats to the committee, giving Democrats another crucial mission in the months ahead of what was already a tough election year: act as Clinton’s first line of defense.

“What difference, at this point, does it make?”

It makes a lot of difference, and we should not let Democrats — or Hillary’s hired liars in the media — convince us otherwise.

    The handling of this mess by Congress and the press corps (and the handling of the IRS mess) reminds you of two things:

    1. You’d be hard put to find 10 honorable men left in the Democratic Party with any influence whatsoever in the federal capital. George McGovern is dead and Nat Hentoff is real old.

    2. The media is no longer ‘biased’. They’re an extension of the DNC press office. As late as 1998, the print media (though not broadcast media) were willing and able to create trouble for a Democratic administration. No more.

    Hillary is in it up to her ears.

    It was her responsibility to ensure adequate security (AND there was no funding shortage, as some lying Democrats still claim but even State agrees was not the problem) beforehand.

    Where was she after her phone call to Obama while the attack was ongoing? What was she doing? We don’t know anything about what she OR Obama were doing while our people were being killed – EXCEPT where they were NOT: the Situation Room.

    Then she participated in the video lie, even to the parents of the fallen, days later when she HAD to have known it was a lie (but also that Rice was about to lie to the country on five Sunday shows).

    Anyone stupid enough to think this conniving whore is fit for office should not be qualified to vote.

    Remember Billy R. Dale? That quite ordinary federal employee was fired, subject to a malicious prosecution, and had to liquidate his life’s savings in the course of being acquitted of those bogus charges. That’s what Hillary does (with the assistance of the usual sociopaths employed by U.S. Attorneys’ offices) to unremarkable and untroublesome people who are in her way.

    What’s interesting about public morality and its evolution can be seen in the treatment of Charles Colson. Colson was known in his later years as an advocate of improving prison conditions, and of an evangelical take on public questions generally. If the man penned an op-ed piece, you could be sure to see a response from some liberal opinion outlet remarking on the effrontery of Charles Colson uttering anything in a public forum.

    Now read John Dean’s memoirs and see if you can figure out what Charles Colson did during Watergate which was distinctly criminal. Dean found Colson an intimidating man (as did others) and Colson did brainstorm an arson-cum-burglary he wanted carried out (at the Brookings Institution). However, that burglary never got off the drawing board and it’s hard to figure out what Colson ever did to further the Watergate cover-up bar perhaps feeding misleading information to reporters on the QT. Was anyone ever ruined by Charles Colson, even collaterally?

    In one of Colson’s books, he directly addressed what was wrong with his Watergate era conduct. He even wrote the charge that he pleaded guilty to. I don’t have it handy right now but it was something to the effect of smearing a man under indictment to prevent him from getting a fair trial. He further said that if he could get away with it from the sanctuary of the White House, then “no one was safe”. In essence, he saw a problem with government officials using their position to undermine the rule of law. Sounds like a real problem to me.
