The Brutality of Kurt Schlichter

Posted on | May 13, 2014 | 46 Comments

Of course, I mean brutality as a compliment, expressing my admiration of his skillful demolition of a liberal “argument”:

Mock them. Accuse them of adhering to a transphobic cisnormative paradigm and start shrieking “Hate crime!”
Don’t worry about not making sense. They’re college students. They are used to not understanding what people smarter than they are tell them.
Respectful argument should be reserved for those who respect the concept of argument. The sulky sophomores who babble about privilege do not. They only understand power. And we give them power when we give their nonsense the respect we would give a coherent argument.
They deserve only laughter. . . .

Read the whole thing. Somebody ought to teach classes in this kind of rhetoric. And that column should be included in the textbook.

The best response to things like that is to mock them, ceaselessly.

Other than perhaps Hillsdale College, I do not think they teach stuff like this anymore at schools.

Other than of course the school of hard knocks.

Liberals like to use belittling non sequiturs. It deserves the same in reply, such as “What difference does it make!?!?” or “That was such a long time ago–you should just move on.”

Now if the bullshitter does not care about truth, what does he care about? He care about himself, about making a certain impression. His aim to (mis)represent himself as knowing what he does not know or more than he actually knows.

Such is the argument rebutted by Kurt.

He must mean transnormative cisphobic, I think. Because otherwise that doesn’t make any sense.

They are so inane with this bizarre idea of privilege they are hosting a White Privilege Conference to discuss it more seriously.

Something about making shit up just gets good to them, and they print it on flyers and wa-laa, instant facts! Like “Racism was invented here, in the Colonies.”

I’m guessing few of them know much about the colonies, other than the fact that colonialism is bad. Especially if Churchill is involved. Future Senator Blutarsky’s “Germans bombed Pearl Harbor” is more closely related to history than the crap these people make up.

I don’t doubt it, considering that Schlicter stands firmly behind homosexual sodomy.

What kind of so-called “conservative” embraces the crime against nature that is homosexual sodomy?

Speaking of colonialism, today in History, 1607, the first successful settlement of English settlers was established at Jamestown in what is now known as the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  32. K-Bob
    May 13th, 2014 @ 11:04 pm

You don’t mean the “Jamestown Colony” right? Cause that one was a bust, if I recall correctly.

  33. Mike G.
    May 13th, 2014 @ 11:22 pm

Jamestown[1] was a settlement in the Colony of Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in the Americas. Established by the Virginia Company of London as “James Fort” on May 4, 1607 (O.S., May 14, 1607 N.S.),[2] and considered permanent after brief abandonment in 1610, it followed several earlier failed attempts, including the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Jamestown served as the capital of the colony for 83 years, from 1616 until 1699.

One of my daughters lives in Williamsburg. We visited the historic site and museum last year.

Really quite interesting. You can even have a wedding in the same church Pocahontas and John Smith were married in.

Getting “owned” on twitter is like ten guys on a beach in Ft. Lauderdale thinking they can make enough noise to ruin the afternoon of someone sunbathing in Daytona.

DItto on that. I’ve done the “Williamsburg” thing about three times over the last forty-five years. It was always an amazing and educational trip. It was our family’s version of Homeschooling. Every year for vacation we went someplace important in American History. Gettysburg, Richmond, Philadelphia, Harper’s Ferry, Williamsburg, Appomatox Courthouse, Arlington, all kinds of places like that.

I agree that mocking the left is the right strategy and its such a target rich environment! I just got banned from commenting on PJ Media after 10 years or so of commenting mostly on Belmont Club. I guess poor little Ricky Moran didn’t like me making a sodomy joke about the sainted NFL draftee Michael Sam.

To be banned by Ricky Moran, GOPe shill par excellence, is an honor. I got banned by Calvinists over at Worldview Weekend for telling the truth about the origins of their theology. People generally have trouble abiding the truth.

Glad my university career is three and a half decades in the past. Because my tolerance for stupidity has shrunk to nil in the intervening time, and my adult life spent in places, seeing and doing things that would put these Special Snowflakes into a fetal position has rendered me entirely intolerant of their self indulgent bullshit.

No, today were I faced with this kind of stupidity I’d have them pissing blood and shitting teeth.
