Gay Bishop’s Gay Divorce

Posted on | May 5, 2014 | 94 Comments

Oh, the heartache of homosexual matrimony on the rocks!

Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson, now retired, nearly prompted a schism in the Anglican Communion in 2003 when the New Hampshire diocese consecrated him as their bishop, despite his open relationship with partner Mark Andrew. Robinson and Andrew were joined in civil union in 2008, then wed two years later, after New Hampshire approved same-sex marriage. On Sunday, Robinson announced that, after 25 years together, he and Andrew are getting a divorce.
This is Robinson’s second divorce — he was married to his wife from 1972 until 1986, when he came out as gay. . . . “My belief in marriage is undiminished by the reality of divorcing someone I have loved for a very long time, and will continue to love even as we separate,” Robinson wrote Sunday in The Daily Beast. “Love can endure, even if a marriage cannot.”

So, after he spent a dozen years deceiving some pathetic woman in a dishonest sham of a marriage, Bishop Robinson then spent two dozen years with his “true love,” until that went stale and became tedious. What next? Will Robinson declare that he has been living a lie, as a woman bishop trapped in a gay male bishop’s body?

Tune in for the next episode of Days of Our Gay Episcoplian Lives.

Yep that’s him. All the crap he spewed about how he was leaving his wife but he still loved her, it’s just, he had to go find his true destiny as a gay man or whatever…like, I would roll my eyes but barely care if he was just doing that to himself and his wife. But leaving the wife who you “love” AND the daughters who look up to you so you can go chase whatever your penis wants is despicable. Add in that he’s supposedly a priest and now a bishop…beyond belief.

Bishop Robinson has already had to receive treatment for alcoholism.

Yet one more reason why I had to leave the Episcopal Church, even though my dad was a priest and grandfather a church planter and missionary for it. Such a shame.

The Anglicans and the Episcopalians are the same people; the Episcopal Church is the US branch of the Anglican Communion.

Speaking for all of us Catholics, allow me to say that we will gladly accept you into the Church. Our theological differences are actually slight; who here can tell the difference between transubstantiation and consubstantiation? 🙂

Douay-Rheims version says: “…blameless, the husband of one WIFE, sober, prudent, of good behaviour, chaste, given to hospitality, a teacher.”

Kind of funny how the whole ‘chaste’ thing kind of dropped out of the mix. Of course, I would have figured Rev. Vicky’s actions went against the “prudent” and “good behaviour” callouts.

But then, I’m Catholic, so what do I know?

According to his Wikipedia biography — for whatever that’s worth — he discussed his concerns about his sexual preferences with his wife-to-be, and they decided to get married anyway.

One of us thinks that, if that’s true, Mrs Robinson might have taken a rather poor decision, based on information she already had.

It was Spong and his ilk that did it for me. Openly advocated blatant heresy for decades and the rest of the Church leadership turned a blind eye. The whole homosexual behavior not being sin is a sign of a bigger theological problem of abandoning the basic teachings of the church.

I think the bare minimum first requirement for being in church leadership is you actually believe the Nicene Creed. That is too much for the modern Episcopal church to expect from its leaders.

It’s hard to say…who knows what “discussed his concerns” might have meant at the time.

  37. Quartermaster
    May 6th, 2014 @ 7:35 pm

Most of the “mainline” denominations have a serious problem of its leadership not being christian. The United Methodist Church seems to be the only denomination where the libtards are being seriously contested.

The intent of the passage is simply having one wife. The man who is divorced and remarried does not have just one wife. A widower who remarries has only one wife.

    NEWS Suggestion http://tinyurl.com/gaydadschurchsuingbabysellers

UK ESSEX @gaydads SELL USA babies / exploit USA women through surrogacy since commercial surrogacy is illegal in United Kingdom, and this therefore is the only way to allow homosexuals to breed there. Their own website bsc-america.com (hetro surrogacy page) says they give children to single gay men with AIDS! It gets worse – they launched theparentmakers.com reality TV show to promote their human trafficking business. This kind of stuff makes you sick but you do need to investigate it and change the NV,CA and potentially FL,NY gay surrogacy laws to stop america being exploited by the global gay lobby. If you don’t see a problem with this – then see following youtube clip. It might change your mind! the to see the REAL REASON Putin made those “anti-gay” laws to protect the children!
