So The Kneepad Media Has A Pass On #Syria. Will It Grow Real Curiosity?

Fareed Zakaria is miffed:

. . .it’s hard not to conclude that the administration’s handling of Syria over the last year has been a case study in how not to do foreign policy.

But will the media grow some stones and note that Obama’s foreign policy is roughly as jacked up as his domestic rodeo clownery?
Joe Curl notes at the Washington Times:

Whatever happens, this much is clear: We’re no longer talking about the IRS targeting tea party groups, the Justice Department tapping reporters’ phone lines, the NSA’s surveillance programs, Benghazi. The president has smartly changed the subject to the most important decision a commander in chief makes: war.

Syria looks like a twofer:

  1. #OccupyResoluteDesk can control the news cycle, and
  2. the media can pause its standard hoovering and feign doing its traditional job on a narrow topic,

all the while accidentally-on-purpose diverting from

or half a dozen other scandals like Pigford and the EPA.

If this President was anything other than a continuous river of falsehood, I might begin to feel embarrassed by my cynical attitude and unwillingness to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. But this is the time to double down, not ease up.

It will be interesting to watch the continued contortions of the effete media to try to spin this latest example of his inexperience biting Obama in the ass.
Seriously, he’s his own worst enemy when it comes to flapping his pie hole extemporaneously, but his lap dog media has been diligent in their efforts to ignore the unabashed ignorance of history, economics and geography displayed by this pretentious potus. Unfortunately for Barry, the rest of the world feels no obligation to try to square the circle of hypocrisy on display and so he’s rightly and roundly derided as the fraud we always knew he was.

The New York Times said, “By demanding a vote, the president is essentially asking Congress to own the decision to go to war.” The underlying, but unwritten by the Times’ message is that President Obama is looking for away out of the diplomatic corner into which he painted himself, by blaming Congress when they deny him the authorization he says he seeks. That infamous and regrettable — at least, regretted by the President — red line comment really has painted him into a corner, and he now he cannot not take action, without looking like an out-of-his-depth bungler (something which can’t be avoided, since he really is an out-of-his-depth bungler), and this appeal to the Congress to authorize an (undefined) action he has already claimed he could take on his own authority as Commander-in-Chief (and did take, on his own authority, in Libya) is actually one in which he hopes that the Congress denies him authorization.

It occurs to me that the professional media and our friends on the left had a great deal of fun with President Bush’s malapropisms, which usually took the form of non-existent words, such as misunderestimate, a “word” I now use with some frequency, deliberately humorously, while the oh-so-erudite President Obama doesn’t normally misuse the language like his predecessor, but when he ad libbed about the red line he made a public gaffe that wasn’t mostly humorous, but one with enormous policy implications.

This is no longer about Syria and sarin gas and authorization and punishment; this is now entirely about Barack Hussein Obama personally, and how he gets himself out of the corner into which he has painted himself. The professional media know this, but are too . . . polite . . . to say it, at least in public.

Obama is both an expert at dithering and likely understands that he could easily out-Benghazi Benghazi here.

The one faint silver lining to the black cloud over America that is the Obama administration, is that it proves that our nation is strong enough to endure the administration’s willful neglect and negliegence.

Thing is, CE, the media is full of people who share Obama’s ‘unabashed ignorance’, so they have no clue. With him, they share a worldview dreamed-up in the sterile laboratories of their own minds, far away from Reality [ie: they’re Ideologues].
