Dog and Man at Yale: Hugo Schwyzer Is Merely a Symptom, Not the Disease

Did you know some Yale University students have had sex with animals? Three percent of Yale students in a “sensitivity training” workshop reported they had engaged in bestiality, so it’s taken us about 60 years to go from God and Man at Yale to Dog and Man at Yale.
This was one of the weird little facts I uncovered while trying to answer the question: How did Hugo Schwyzer get away with it so long?
Hugo Schwyzer is insane and is also a college professor, and one imagines his employer using this in a promotional campaign: “Pasadena City College: You Don’t Have to Be Crazy to Teach Here, But It Helps!”
Professor Schwyzer’s madness suddenly burst forth as headline news this month after he first announced that he was quitting the Internet and told L.A. Weekly he had suffered a “mental breakdown.” But then the professor went on Twitter and began spewing out a series of bizarre confessions, admitting that he was off his medication. His weird online meltdown inspired concerns for Professor Schwyzer’s safety and he was hospitalized again. He told the Daily Beast that he had been to the psychiatric ward three times in the past month and had suicidal thoughts. He told a Daily Caller reporter that he had made a “serious” suicide attempt.
As spectacular as his manic disintegration was, there had been clear warning signs for years that Professor Schwyzer was a sex-crazed lunatic. However, the red flags of mental illness were evidently ignored by the administration of Pasadena City College (PCC) and Professor Schwyzer’s peers, perhaps because sex-crazed lunatics have become so commonplace in 21st-century academia. . . .
Read the whole thing at The American Spectator.
UPDATE: Did you hear about the University of Georgia professor who had sex with a student during a trip to Costa Rica?
The sex was consensual, the committee concluded, though both parties “were under the influence of alcohol and/or potentially behavior-altering medication,” according to their May 2 report to Adams.
What’s amazing about this story is not that Georgia taxpayers spent money to send a professor to the tropics for a drunken sex romp with a coed. No, what’s amazing is that the professor lost his tenure over this incident. “Academic freedom” is under siege!

Too many folks treat the symptom instead of the underlying diseaes.
In the case the underlying disease is a soul-less jack-a-nape whose refusal to recognize his very soul (that which is made in God’s image and is the anima of a human) thus becoming, by default, anti-God and immoral in every way.
The mentors, teachers and ideologues that led this man to his present state bear a great responsibility for leading him astray. That he remains apart despite all truth presented to him is his own responsibility and bears eternal consequences.
Personally, I believe the great numbers of mentally ill and suicidal folks on the progressive left is a consequence of their denial of their very souls.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/08/18/university-fires-professor-who-had-sex-in-public-with-a-student/ University of Georgia is a good school, but not up to par with Yale. The difference? Yale is just that much more depraved. Thurston Howell was right about those “Yale men.”
Oh, I see RSM already updated on the UofG prof.

UGA learned their lesson. A few years ago their Athletic Director was busted for DUI in Buckhead. Adams didn’t fire him and the AD held a press conference where he expressed his regrets for the mistake.
Two days later all hell broke loose. When the AD, a married man, was stopped he was in the company of a young woman not his wife. The trooper reported that the AD pleaded with him to escort them to a motel while clutching the girl’s Georgia red panties. If Adams had fired that fool right off the rest of this sordid tale would have been page four.
When we say Georgia is a party school, we mean everyone parties!

Anything that advances Alabama’s dominance of the SEC is a good thing, so UGA’s athletic director being a drunk pervert? Yeah, I’m in favor of that.

You’re just in favor of the delay of game penalties for the kinky huddles.

I like this bunch. We use words that haven’t been heard in awhile. I called someone a poltroon, and you use the term jack-a-nape. Next thing we’ll be calling RSM a Popinjay. 🙂

I am shocked he lost tenure. They should have fired him while they were at it.

I’ll buy that he’s a symptom, but I would add that he’s also a vector. Typhoid Mary of the academy, if you will.

Language is rather a passion of mine.
I prefer real English with all it’s depth of expression over the monosyllabic fecal matter we get from the deluded and deceived youngsters. Then, of course, there is ebonics …

I’m suddenly reminded of the case in San Francisco where a lesbian’s dog killed another woman and we got WTMI about the lesbian’s relationship with the dog.

I refuse to consider any suicide attempt “serious.” They’re all hilarious. The successful ones most of all.

She wasn’t a lesbian, she was married and both of them had a weird relationship with an Aryan Nations inmate who IIRC got them the dogs.

For my part, I appreciate the proper application of “its.”
