Taylor Swift: A Fornicating Whore?

For years, Westboro Baptist Church has been accused of homophobic hatred because of their infamous “God Hates Fags” protests. Finally, they’ve decided to get serious about heterosexual sin:

Yes, that’s right: THE WHORISH FACE OF DOOMED AMERICA, the pop-country star formerly known as Taylor Swift, has been guilty of “hopping from one young man to the next and strutting across the world stage like a proud whore,” according to the WBC press release. . . .

Read the whole thing, because I think we can all agree on this.

    Stupid question: Taylor Swift is dating a lot of people, but what makes anyone think that she’s sleeping with all of those men? Are we just ditching the notion that you can date without having sex?

    The main difference is that the WBC has little influence outside their small sect.

    My point was that the decades old widespread influence of fundamental Islam in education worldwide has contributed to the problems, including the acceptance and / or benefit of the doubt that many Muslims give the terrorists.

    Muzzies don’t call out those they disagree with, they blow them up, cut their heads off or do something similarly nasty. Witness the goings on in Syria where the two major branches of the Religion of Pieces are fighting for control. I can’t get excited about it though. It’s like two pigs fighting over the dominant position; the winner is still in the hog lot and they both end up as bacon. Too bad we can’t get a similarly useful outcome there.

    I am not sure I would describe her behavior as that. She stalked a younger man, crashed a wedding, but she did make $1,000,000 on reselling the house she bought there.

    One big difference. As disgusting as Westboro Baptist Church is, they have been peaceful (offensive, but peaceful). They do not strap bombs to their children and try to blow up gay clubs and funerals.

    Good point, it just doesn’t go far enough.

    There are always people who hate but they seldom violently act on those hatreds unless people in authority grant them some “permission” to do so.

    For example, there has been a long tradition of antisemitism in Eastern Europe. In Tsarist Russia, people felt empowered to act upon their feelings resulting in pogroms. Antisemitism in Germany existed but was not usually acted upon prior to the National Socialist take over.

    I am proposing that many, albeit still a minority, of Muslims feel empowered to act out their sense of hatred and entitlement after a couple of generations exposure to fanatical indoctrination.

    A guess. While the odds, based simply on the nature of Swift’s generation and occupation are that she has been sleeping with some (unlikely all) of them, it is not a certainty. Part of the problem with WBC’s charge is that it is contrary to the concept of charity as it relates to argumentation.

    It is no certainty that Swift is a modern trollop.

    I’ve seen condemnation of content only from the supposedly mainline denominations that are in serious decline because they have compromised the Christian message.

    I dislike the way WBC goes about its business because they intrude on what should be private. The message that :God hates Fags,” alas is quite true when those “fags” have no intention of repudiating their sin. God does not save people in sin, he saves them from their sin. The gay agenda is all about spitting in God’s face, however, and God has no use for that sort.

    I was in Topeka for Christmas a couple of years ago and, because we wanted to see the Tiffany stained glass windows at the First Presbyterian Church, we went to their Christmas service, and crossed the picket line. Now, being from union country, I was raised not to do so; however, I’m proud to say I crossed the WBC picket line. The people at the church recognized that we were visitors and were very kind and welcoming.
