Hiroshima for #FreeKate? Younger Sister Praises Her Mother as ‘F–king Badass’

Honestly, I had to think a while about this one: Is it fair?
People have been throwing stuff at me on Twitter so fast I can barely keep up with it all. On Tuesday, the “Free Kate” controversy was actually addressed by Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary:
“What we have here is an open argument made that same-sex sexual relationships should not even be seen as merely equal with opposite sex-relationships . . . but in this case, even legally privileged such that the statutory law or second-degree felony issues at stake in a heterosexual relationship of young people of the same ages would not apply to a same-sex couple.”
That was Tuesday and today is Thursday, and I’ve been focused so hard on the developing story that I didn’t even have time to notice it until a couple hours ago. Meanwhile, I came across some things on social media that would tend to seriously undermine whatever remaining credibility the “Free Kate” cause still has.
Kelley Hunt Smith has praised her daughter, accused sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt, as “wonderful . . . respected and well liked . . . the model student and child.” Similarly, Kaitlyn’s attorney told reporters that the 18-year-old is “a model citizen.” This depiction of Kaitlyn was contradicted by a fellow Sebastian High student who posted a video in which Kaitlyn can be heard inciting her younger sister in a fight with another girl: “Beat her f–king ass, Emily! Beat her ass! Get that bitch!”
Wednesday, after hurling obscenity-laced messages in all directions, Emily Hunt switched her Twitter account status to private. Before she did, however, many of the Emily’s more incriminating messages were screen-capped, including this from March 30 (click image to enlarge):
As I say, I had to think whether it was fair to post this. After all, Emily is a minor and not really competent to . . . Oh, wait.
Yeah, I had to think about it, but I really didn’t have to think long.
Nor was there any question of whether this is relevant, seeing as how (a) it indicates where the Hunt girls get their penchant for obscene language and violence; and (b) the quoted text messages from Kelley Hunt Smith to her minor daughter tell you a lot about the woman who praises Kaitlyn as a “model student and child.”
“Hunt Family Values,” as it were.
Given what we see here and given what we can learn about Kaitlyn Hunt’s value system from the arrest affidavit that describes a sexual affair with a 14-year-old that began in a school toilet stall — what kind of home environment is Kelley Hunt Smith providing for Emily and her other children? Does it seem like these children are the products of a wholesome upbringing? And what else are we likely to learn — what further evidence might prosecutors bring forth — if Kaitlyn and her supporters insist on taking this case to trial?
According to Kelley Hunt Smith, the only reason James and Laurie Smith (whom she named nine times in her May 17 Facebook post) objected to Kaitlyn’s involvement with their 14-year-old daughter is because they are “full of hate and bigotry.”
But would you want your daughter mixed up with trash like that?
And there is more to come, my friends.
Did I mention the Hunts’ lawyer hired a P.R. firm? They should have lots of work to do. Just wait until they see Nagasaki . . .

It’s criminal for an adult to have sex with a minor under the age of 16 in FL. Period.

This all plays into the Agenda by the LGBTQ community. From what has happened in the 1st State to allow same sex marriage, Massachusetts, to California. The constitution, the laws on the books, do not exist to this community. They have all the same rights I do. They have the Constitution. They are to be responsible citizens of society just like me and adhere to the laws on the books.
Instead they work behind the scenes with legislators, governors, mayors, school boards, to push their agenda making sure that everyone thinks and knows it is all a good thing.
Bullying laws are passed, to protect people from bullying. But when you read each bullying law there is a special insert in each one for the LGBTQ Community.
Kate is a sexual predator. She admitted to having sex with a 14 year old girl. She had sex in the bathroom of the school. But to the LGBTQ community the age does not matter that is why they are pushing for the Age of Consent to be lowered and pushing for Pedophilia to be changed to an orientation, and not a criminal act. they are also pushing for Age of Consent laws to be lowered or done away with.
Kate your no different than the 18 year old boy having sex with a 14 year old. your just as bad.

Honestly, I think this goes to show how arrogant the gay-rights movement has become after Obama’s re-election: They obviously didn’t even bother to vet the Hunt family’s version of events — much less do any background research on their general reputation and character — before deciding to make an accused sex offender their Poster Girl for Equality.
Idiots.

I agree, they have become more arrogant, and open in what they desire and what they believe they have a “right” to.
They that are backing Kate, are like the Al Sharpton’s going after George Zimmerman. It is radical, in your face and the truth does not matter.

I believe RSM was almost having trouble keeping up with the arguments presented by the Hunts, is because, like Leftists, they keep moving the focus point of the arguments.

Perhaps people have no memory, or have paid no attention to the events and trends of recent years, and thus have no thought of, “What next? And after that, then what?” If you are able to think back as far as the 1980s, trace the line from where we were then to where we are now, and then plot that course forward — well, you certainly have reason to wonder what kind of environment your grandchildren will face in another 10, 20, 30 years.
There is no logical stopping point to the liberal agenda, and what they demand today is never their final demand. Grant them everything they ask today, and tomorrow they will return with a new list of demands, accusing you of unfairness for not having previously granted whatever they ask. No concession can ever satisfy them, for their is no limit to their appetite — it’s like negotiating with a shark over how much of your leg he can eat.
Many conservatives don’t really think in this kind of long-and-deep mode, and a habit of shallow short-term thinking cripples them in terms of effectively opposing liberalism.
Charles Krauthammer can be a ferocious critic of liberalism, but his willingness to cede almost anything in order to elect a Republican president is a weakness all too common among D.C.-based pundits whose chief interest is in foreign policy.
Indeed, this fixation on foreign policy to the detriment of nearly every other issue is one legacy of the Cold War era that has seriously impeded Republicans as a genuinely conservative force over the past two dozen years. Many Republicans are willing to give away the store on domestic policy if it will give them control of the White House and the ability to exercise the “Big Stick” of foreign/defense policy. And they simply can’t be made to see why that is ultimately a formula for GOP irrelevance.

Another aspect of this case that irks me are the mixed messages sent by the usual suspects on the left, namely, that the 14 year old was old enough to consent, but Kate, the 18 year old adult, was just a kid in love and should not be held accountable for her actions.
As a commenter said somewhere else, the left seeks to “liberate” children from their parents and make them dependent and accountable to the government, which then encourages permanent infantilization.

Actually, that’s a great idea. It would get the story out there beyond the “human interest/ liberal talking-points” that the legacy media would choose to air as the narrative, and get the true facts out beyond the conservative blogosphere.

http://supporthonesty.net/ I live in the same county as Ms. Hunt, so I have a vested interest in the outcome of this story and knowing if my 15-yr old son will be protected from sex predators in public school. This link is the best collection of facts and documentation that I have seen in one place. I think you will be shocked at the intentional dishonesty of the Hunt family and their viciousness in attacking the victim and her family, as they encourage immorality in their daughter and ask for laws to be ignored because she has homosexual sex. They have defrauded the public to solicit $$ for Kaitlyn. Read the affidavit; you will vomit in your mouth.

Kelley Hunt Smith actually is a BADASS mother to 5 girls! Btw everyone this beach fight video you are posting??? That’s not Kate, check the tattoo again … So saying that’s her is libel…

“Florida law prohibits sexual contact with anyone under 16, and the restriction doesn’t apply just to adults. Technically, two 15-year-olds who have sex are guilty of lewd or lascivious battery, a felony. A 15-year-old who fondles another 15-year-old’s breasts has committed lewd or lascivious molestation, also a felony.
A loophole in the law allows a 16-year-old or 17-year-old to have a romantic relationship with an adult as old as 23, but that same teen having a relationship with a 15-year-old classmate is illegal. When a student turns 18, as Ms. Hunt did, the penalties are even stiffer.
Sex between young teens can be dangerous and damaging. But state law wrongly treats high school romances the same way it treats predatory acts by older adults.
Most teens are unaware of this, and think nothing of the potential consequences of cozying up to someone at a high school dance. Understandably so. Child molestation laws are rarely enforced among high school lovers. On the rare occasions when they are, as in Ms. Hunt’s case, people are predictably skeptical about the motivations.
There is an easy fix to this: reducing or eliminating the penalties for teens engaged in sexual contact with other teens. It is hypocritical and wrong to put hormone-addled minors in classrooms and then severely criminalize the results. Change the law, and give Ms. Hunt a break.”
June 2nd, 2013 @ 12:02 pm
“Nikki and Frank’s predicament is not an isolated incident. Across the country, young lovers are increasingly finding themselves caught in the nation’s complicated web of sex-offender laws. Teenagers wind up on the public sex-offender registry, alongside violent predators, pedophiles, and child pornographers, for having consensual sex with an underage partner (or, sometimes, for streaking or sexting — sending racy self-portraits, which can be considered child pornography). The stigma of the sex-offender label is difficult to shed: “Once you’re on the registry, good luck trying to explain it,” says Sarah Tofte, who has studied sex-offender laws for the nonprofit group Human Rights Watch. “It’s like you’re in prison proclaiming your innocence. People think, Right, that’s a likely story. Especially potential employers.”
There are now more than 650,000 registered sex offenders nationwide. There are no reliable statistics on the number of juveniles — but the problem is clearly on the rise. Each of the 50 states now has at least one grassroots group dedicated to getting young people — many high school age, but some under the age of 10 — off the registry. The effort includes judges and other legal experts who say they have seen the problem often enough to persuade them that the system needs adjustment.
Still, the problem is poorly understood. Partly out of embarrassment, some parents don’t want to talk about this issue — even as they work to try to remove their own children from the registry. To get some answers as to the extent of the problem, we conducted our own survey, state by state. What we found: Not all states register juveniles, and of the 34 that do, only 23 keep track of the number of juveniles on the registry. In those 23 states, there are nearly 23,000 registered juveniles. No states monitor whether the number of juveniles is on the rise or not, but one state, Oregon, provided an estimate, reporting a 70 percent jump in that state since 2005.”
