Portrait of a Thug: IRS Union Boss

Colleen M. Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union
By now, you’ve probably seen the news:
Colleen Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union which represents employees of the Internal Revenue Service, met at the White House with President Obama the day before two IRS officials created the “Sensitive Case Report” that targeted Tea Party groups for special scrutiny on their applications for non-profit status.
White House visitors logs show that Kelley visited the White House on March 31, 2010, to meet with Obama, a day before an Inspector General’s report shows that the “Sensitive Case Report” was created, Jeffrey Lord of The American Spectator reported . . .
And you might be surprised (but probably not) to learn that Colleen M. Kelley has never worked a day in the private sector:
[A]n NTEU member since 1974, Kelley was an IRS Revenue Agent for 14 years and served in various NTEU chapter leadership positions, including chapter president of NTEU Chapter 34 in Pittsburgh. She was elected National President in August 1999 and was overwhelmingly re-elected to a fourth four-year term in 2011.
Kelley first joined the IRS upon graduation from Drexel University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh.
You might also be surprised (but probably not) that Colleen M. Kelley and her union enthusiastically support Obama:
The leader of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) today applauded the re-election of President Barack Obama.
“NTEU supported the re-election of President Obama as being in the best interests of our country and of the dedicated men and women of the federal workforce,” said NTEU President Colleen M. Kelley. “NTEU is also pleased that so many of our candidates for Senate seats and our staunchest supporters in the House won their races.”
NTEU’s efforts on behalf of President Obama and key candidates spanned the country. “Our 2012 election plan has been in place since the beginning of the year,” said President Kelley. “Many chapters and members were actively involved educating and organizing various types of activities around the country including candidate nights and volunteering for campaigns.”
NTEU’s efforts focused on battleground states where races for the presidency, Senate and House seats were competitive and where the union has substantial numbers of NTEU members including Virginia, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana.
In the days before the election, NTEU members volunteered for phone-banking and canvassing, with a particular focus on contacting other NTEU members and urging them to vote for candidates who support federal employees and federal employee issues.
“Federal employees heard our message loud and clear that everything about the lives of the federal workforce is determined by those elected to office,” said Kelley.
So, now you know who Colleen M. Kelley loves. You may be surprised (but probably not) to learn what happens to people she hates:
Catholic Professor: IRS Asked
About Her Anti-Obama Articles
IRS Requested Details of Christian
Pro-Life Organization’s Prayer Meetings
Leaked IRS Files Were Used to Attack Romney
Reporter Who Interviewed
President Obama: IRS ‘Hammering Me’
South Carolina Tea Party Mom
Describes IRS ‘Harassment’
These things are just coincidences, I’m sure. (But probably not.)
It’s time for the corrupt President to ask the corrupt Justice Department to investigate the corrupt Internal Revenue Service.

This is what all these leftist thugs look like. I hate myself and will use my power to destroy lives because my life is full of ugliness.
All tyrannical regimes have the ‘charismatic leader’ followed by millions of thuggish minions willing to do their bidding.

Colleen was an aspirational name, apparently.

Its time for the corrupt Republicans and the rest of the Congress to consider reform of election finance, elimination of the 501 c 4 and take steps to assure that the IRS can not investigate based on political position. It is Hypocrisy for the Republicans to get bent over this when the Bush Administration was openly targeting anti-war and other liberal groups. For any conservative to be politically aware for the past 30 years and cry fale is a sick joke. It was wrong then and it was wrong now. It is also for conservative political groups to even consider being a 501 c4. They deserved to be prosecuted! The way they were sorted or culled was wrong. The Liberal groups were denied and audited as well, it is a simple truth that conservative groups seeking 501 c4 heavily outnumber liberal groups.
May 20th, 2013 @ 8:51 pm
Apparently you don’t get sarcasm
May 20th, 2013 @ 8:59 pm
I’d like to watch Ted Cruz question this woman under oath about what transpired during her meeting with obama.
May 20th, 2013 @ 8:59 pm
Please, name one liberal group that was denied their tax exempt status during the period of 2010 to 2012.
And please name one anti-war group that was targeted by Bush and exactly what that targeting entailed?
May 20th, 2013 @ 9:12 pm
You soros and ofa trolls are working a lot of overtime these days trying to defend dear leader obama. I hope they’re keeping your koolaid pitcher full, I don’t think your little brain could handle the truth.
May 20th, 2013 @ 9:34 pm
So OFA can be a 501c4, but conservatives cannot?
Nice double standards you got there.
Hypocrite much?
“it is a simple truth that conservative groups seeking 501 c4 heavily outnumber liberal groups.”
That’s the difference between real grassroots and Soros funded astroturf.
Doesn’t it bother you that TEA partiers are the counter culture now, and you are just a mindless shill for the corrupt power structure?
May 20th, 2013 @ 9:37 pm
Supply links or GTFO. Bush, as crappy as he was, always praised the 1st amendment and never badmouthed the phony anti-war protesters.
May 20th, 2013 @ 9:37 pm
If you don’t see something wrong here, you’re probably a slow “Lerner”.
(PS Why do so many liberal hags look like Peter Griffin in drag?)

Say, what if we just skin her?

Lefty groups and even conservative groups that adopted lefty-sounding names skated through the process. News stories are coming out about supposed “groups” that obtained non-profit status and no actual building or officers of the organization can be found. Fraud is a tradition with these people.
Your pathetic attempt to pretend there’s some sort of equivalence is the ‘fale” here.
