Several House Democrats are calling on Congress to recognize that climate change is hurting women more than men, and could even drive poor women to “transactional sex” for survival.
The resolution, from Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) and a dozen other Democrats, says the results of climate change include drought and reduced agricultural output. It says these changes can be particularly harmful for women.
“[F]ood insecure women with limited socioeconomic resources may be vulnerable to situations such as sex work, transactional sex, and early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health,” it says.

Lance Burri points out the oddity of “early marriage” — an evil as bad as HIV, according to Democrats — being listed among the harmful effects attributed to global warming.

    Between Barbara Lee of California and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, no relation if you can believe it, there is always something crazy or stupid going on, often several of both – and a good time to be had by all, unless you are a staffer for Sheila Jackson Lee, in which case it is just one more day in Hell until the sweet relief of death eases your pain.

    Incidentally, the H041 drug-resistant “super-bug” strain of gonorrhea which has the potential for a higher mortality rate than AIDS has been found in California. A woman matching Barbara Lee’s description was observed leaving the scene, but that doesn’t prove anything.

    They mentioned unplanned pregnancy, but didn’t elaborate on how global warming will deprive women of access to late-term abortions. Actually, I’m disappointed in them–just when they had the chance to go full retard, they shrank back.

    I experienced a little climate change recently. It wasn’t raining, then it was, then it wasn’t again. I didn’t see one hooker in my neighborhood. I think her theory is wrong, dang!

    If you move to or live in the North East U.S., Chicago or the West Coast you are probably a liberal so Geography Change creates liberals. Those areas should be forced to pay a huge Geography Change Tax to prevent them from having the money to spend on stupid liberal ideas.

    Well I can infer the theory on this: the hot weather makes women take off their clothes so men say, “Hey, here’s some money, let’s have sex!” or “Hey, let’s get married early…”
