Why Is the New York Times Now Campaigning for Anthony Weiner?

First, the dishonest puff-piece feature, now a transparent “news” plug for Congressman Meat-Tweet. What’s going on here? I’ve got a few hunches about their motives, but no time to explain my theory just now. But there was time for Neutral Objective Journalism at ViralRead:
The New York Times has attempted to assist Weiner’s political rehabilitation, publishing an 8,000-word profile feature about the Democrat who resigned in June 2011 after he was caught sending photos of his bulging underwear to women via Twitter. That article in Sunday’s New York Times magazine was denounced by popular conservative blogger Ace of Spades as “a deliberate lie from start to finish” because of how the story by Jonathan Van Meter obscured the role of the late Andrew Breitbart in exposing Weiner. Breitbart.com was the first news organization to report on the so-called “WeinerGate” scandal. Van Meter’s article disparages Breitbart as a “not entirely reputable right-wing blogger.” Monday, Breitbart.com featured on its front page a lengthy account of WeinerGate excerpted from Andrew Breitbart’s book, Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World.

Why is the NYT campaigning for Wiener?
Simple. He’s a Democrat, and it’s what they do.

Why? Because if Mark Sanford can come back, why not Anthony Weiner?

My theory? They have two reasons. One, he’s a Democrat as Finrod says, but the other is that even in death Andrew Breitbart still drives them insane. They can’t stand the fact that it was Andrew who brought down Weiner. So they must rehabilitate Anthony Weiner at all costs because they can’t let us evil right wingers have any heroes.
And what devastates me is that so many conservative bloggers and pundits go along with sending Andrew’s legacy down the memory hole. They didn’t even have a public memoral service for him. I understand why the funeral was private. And a lot of bloggers posted pictures of local gatherings where they raised a glass to toast him. But where was the rally? Andrew Breitbart single-handedly save the Tea Party. If any of them held a rally to remember him I missed it. Even Breitbart.tv scrubbed all his videos after the first aniversay of his death.
Andrew Breitbart could be our Che. His face should be on every T-shirt. On mugs. Posters. He was a great man and he should be remembered that way.
If Anthony Weiner gets elected mayor of New York it will be a big FU to Andrew. I hope he’s resting in peace.

The New York Times: fluffing is an important job when a disgraced Democrat candidate is trying to come back.

Even leaving Breitbart completely out of it, the Van Meter story failed to even mention the fact that Nancy Pelosi and several other Democratic members of Congress had called on him to resign. Neither did it address the blatantly phony “hacking” claim by Weiner and his toadies, which was exposed as a total fabrication by the fact Weiner would NOT ask the FBI to look into it!
So it is not correct to say the NYT story was wrong because it went out of its way to paint Breitbart out of the picture, it was wrong in every single respect, an attempt at a total whitewash of the record.

Well, like I done wroted before, the NYT has become EXACTLY the same as Workers World, or True Detective Stories, or Screw Magazine. Why they still get credentials to Republican events is the real mystery.

Let’s see, Weiner is married to former Hillary Clinton aide, Huma Abedin who has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and there is speculation that Hillary will run in 2016. The sleazy and corrupt connections and possiblities are endless. If Bubba Clinton can still hold his head up high after lying to the American people about his immoral and salacious acts in the Oval Office and still hold considerable clout in the Democratic party – little twerps like Weiner figure they can too. Anyone know the residivism rate of lying, corrupt politicians who claim they have changed their evil ways? I’ll bet it’s as small as Anthony’s, uh, you know.

Because Weiner and the collective known as the New York Times are all a bunch of dicks.

Not really the Old Grey Bitch, just Van Meter angling for a press stooge position in a Hillary admin.
