Power Line Got That Backward

Power Line points out that the Meteorologist-in-Chief is full of hooey, per this 13-word SOTU passage:

Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, and floods – all are now more frequent and intense.

But it’s not that this particular crap-shot to the dome is unusual. Even the famous

electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket

was delivered in the context of a discussion of cap-n-trade. What I’d like to see is an analysis of something, anything, on which this guy has been forthright, accurate, or at least honest about the reason that a prediction proved inaccurate.

The nicest thing I can say about this guy is that he reflects a fundamentally unserious country.

We get the elected officials we deserve.

There are years of analysis from Glenn Reynolds, in the form, “They said if I voted [against Obama] … and they were right!”

He’s the George Costanza of Presidents. Everything he says is wrong either intentionally or because he’s not as smart as the MSM assures us he is. To carry the analogy too far, that would make Valerie Jarret his Elaine and of course we all know Joe Biden is standing in for Cosmo. Obama’s problem is that he doesn’t have a reliable Jerry to play off. That’s because he can’t stand to be 2nd fiddle to anyone I guess.

My thought: George W. Bush is Jerry Seinfeld, and the last five years is what we would have had if they had decided to continue Seinfeld for five more years without Jerry Seinfeld.

When I stand before my Creator and hear the list of charges that put me among the deserving of this government, I expect to be astonished.

Neither Wikipedia nor the CIA World Fact Book have anything negative to say about Malaysia, and both seem to naively assume that Malaysia is not a dictatorship but is instead an elective monarchy.
    The idiots.

    a) Discus supports editing your own comments.
    b) In the case of the CIA WFB, that’s an official publication, and not one that’s going to be permitted to cause trouble with the State Department.
    c) Wikipedia is wildly unreliable on political topics.

Wikipedia is wildly unreliable on ALL topics. Damn near anyone can edit it and revisionists of a leftist mindset are in charge. Use Keywiki or do a search through the result sets from Bing, Yahoo or any search engine other than Google. Hell, even the old 16-bit Copernicus search tool is better (and more reliable in not editing the result set) for an internet query!
