I’d really need to see a thorough investigation showing a chain reaction caused by the halftime show triggered the SB blackout.
As a dispassionate observer, it looked fishy that when one team had a dramatic play, went up by a significant amount, and was in danger of breaking the other team’s morale utterly, a convenient blackout cools everyone down and stabilizes the game.
The transition of the NFL into the WWWF continues apace, which is why I manage to view a total of about 1.2 games per season.
