#NRISummit: Scarborough 2016?

Joe Scarborough exits the National Review Institute Summit
Strange to say, on the “What’s Wrong With the Right?” panel this morning — which included Reihan Salam, Bill Kristol, Yuval Levin, John Podhoretz and Ross Douthat — the most stubbornly outspoken opponent of “big government Republicans” was MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.
Scarborough said that George W. Bush’s big-government measures “completely muddied the brand” of the Republican Party, and he was applauded by many of the 700 people attending the National Review Institute Summit at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Was this the start of a 2016 presidential campaign for the former Florida congressman who has become the token Republican host on liberal-leaning MSNBC? Last fall, Scarborough dismissed reports that he was considering such a campaign, saying he has “the best job in the world” and “no desire to leave.” But one veteran political observer noted the contrast between Scarborough’s engagement with the audience and the more aloof intellectuals on the panel: “That’s the politician in him.”

Any conservative who trusts Joe Scarborough is bat shit crazy. In fact, this would make a great BSC post linked to this post.

I am going to state what should be obvious to all of us: Any conservative who trusts Joe Scarborough is BSC

Sorry Dick, you sucked when you were alive. And I am talking about your big government expansions and market interventions that did not work.

I’ve learned by watching the results of my successors … no more! Small government, big individual liberties!

Insanity. Dead congressional aid Klausutis, infidelity, etc. Any serious consideration of him is yet another recipe for disaster.

Glad to find out that Zombie Nixon can learn from his mistakes.

I don’t think Scarborough would be on that show if he were a real conservative. The reason he’s there is to badmouth conservatives while pretending to be one. That’s what they call balance.

If the Republican Party even contemplates this…. then I will puke and come to the realization that the Republican Party is nothing but a big stinking pile of cow crap and the people advising Americans to move to sunnier, more tax friendly countries are absolutely right and its time to pack.

Say, I like the cut of his GBLT.
I sure do hope he’s the standard bearer for the Republican party. That way, you’d know.

Scarborough 2016????
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha….. [cough]

That pic may very well be the first time I’ve ever seen his face.
Reminds me of Dan Fielding on “Night Court.”

This guy is an asshat who loathes the tea party and anything having to do with true conservatism. He makes Bill Kristol look like a right wing nutjob. If he resembled a conservative today, it was nothing but a put-on. He shouldn’t even be at that summit.

Nice touch with the cough.

You have got to be joking? If anybody thinks Joe is the answer to the eGOP’s problems then weed must have been legalized in more places than Colorado and Washington state!
But, I guess the eGOP need to find another designated loser and you can never start too early…

I can’t believe any Republican would trust Traitor Joe. He helped get BO elected along w/ BFF Matthews and Maddox.

That particular group of conservatives are desperate and pathetic. They refuse to see just how serious the situation is. They refuse to grasp, for whatever reason, that the Left – and those on the Right who give them legitimacy – are seeking nothing less than to destroy everything America stands for.

[…] And note the headline (and corresponding URL) of the MSNBC story: “Emotional father of Sandy Hook victim heckled by gun nuts.” The story wasn’t written by Joe Scarborough, but it appears on his “Morning Joe” blog — the man whom MSNBC (and this past weekend, National Review, sadly) touts as MSNBC’s lone “conservative” host.
