Prediction: Public Sector Strike In WI

Reasoning:

  1. The Chicago teachers strike is ongoing.
  2. Dane County Judge Juan Colas, in the biggest judicial WTF since Justice Roberts let fly with his ObamaCare decision, “returns the law to its status before Walker signed his law in March 2011“
  3. ???
  4. Electoral profit!

Note that ‘reason’ encounters a Left-wing singularity right around #3 above. These strikes make precious little sense, unless you figure that they may be a faux crisis ginned up for #OccupyResoluteDesk to solve. Maybe something can be done about the Troglopundit, too. Midnight visit by brownshirts? They’ll need plenty of lighting for the bog, though.

At any rate, the completely weird reversal of a decision from the WI Supreme Court makes no sense unless it’s a tile in a bigger mural. It’s sort of a Checkov’s Gun situation. If I’m wrong, you can see me at CPAC for a cup of coffee.

    We should encourage Democrat civil servants to strike. Right up to election day. You have people sitting at home holding their final unemployment check watching people who make $74,000 a year to NOT do their jobs demand more. PLEASE give us more of that.

    Rachael is correct. If Wisconsin teachers were allow to strike we’d have seen that by now. They’ll do as they have done – haul their 4th-graders down to the capitol to march and chant as part of a “participative government field trip.”

    Rayovac Corp. just recently pulled up stakes from Madison. The Red Mayor had a fit. Hopefully other businesses will see the light and leave.

    In the article I read about this last night, a leading member of the Wisconson Assembly made an interesting, Jacksonian comment on the ruling:

    Republican Rep. Robin Vos, a staunch supporter of the law and the presumptive next speaker of the Assembly, called the ruling an example of the “arrogance of the judiciary.”

    “I‘m confident it’s a single judge out of step with the mainstream,” Vos said. He said the law is working “and we’ll continue to implement it.”
