When Liars ‘Win’

Nothing should enrage honest people more than to see liars succeed through their skill at deceit — or, as often as not, to see liars succeed because so many people have become indifferent to truth, as in the case of the media’s favorite phony “expert,” Ryan Holiday.

When liars succeed, this represents the triumph of vice over virtue, the encouragement of evil and the discouragement of good. So we should take alarm when we see how Harry Reid’s vicious lies are being celebrated as successful politics:

A nation that considers it acceptable to “win” by lying is a nation far gone down the degenerate road to complete corruption.

James Rainey should be ashamed of himself, but if he had any sense of shame, he would not write for the disgraceful Los Angeles Times.

    The Los Angeles Times has been comprehensively betraying the interests of its readers for decades, yet remains surprised it is running out of readers.

    Low info voters, and voters that stand to gain from corrupt politicians are what keep the corrupt politicians in office. The media, however, is having its corrupt ways pointed out and, increasingly, is viewed as being over paid liars.

    We’ve known for years the left was corrupt to its core. It’s just a crying shame it has taken the last 50 years for its ways to catch up with it. Frankly, I think the voting public has waited much too long to bring them to book and we are facing some very hard times as a result.

    I have to thank you and Smitty for leading the way here, Stacy.  I’ve been urging people on the right to start treating the NYT, LAT, and the rest as the yellow sheets they are. 

    “Disreputable Sources,” indeed.

    Why anyone would treat the NYT as any more reliable than Mother Jones or Workers World is beyond comprehension.

    Maybe Ryan Holiday could turn some tricks and really be a “professional.”  

    As for the LA Times, it is just a matter of time before it is handed out for free from corner stands, with pages of ads for guys like Ryan Holiday.

    Does this mean the LA Times will no longer whine about the lack of civility in DC or national politics?

     Democrats have been cultivating such clients for decades.  They have driven all moral and civic sense from public education and replaced it with drivel and pop nonsense.

    The press has essentially let Reid skate on taking bribes to get rich in office for decades, why would they turn on him for a bit of slander against a Republican?  They do it themselves all the time.

    Incidentally, Rick Santorum and Rand Paul are on the speakers list for the GOP Convention.  Democrats have countered with a heavyweight blast from the past – Jimmy Carter.

    Carter won’t actually attend, but will speak via video from a Hamas rocket assembly plant in Gaza.

    The name of the game is “By Any Means” and the metric is “Divert Attention from the Jobs Numbers.”

    Holiday is just narrating Reid’s success.
