What kind of creep publicly accuses his ex-wife — an accomplished professional academic administrator — of being an addict? What kind of creep would brag about using martial arts against a woman?

Read the shocking story of how Neal Rauhauser maligned the mother of his two children using his “Iowa Boy” alias at Daily Kos.

When you’re through reading that, permit me to remind you of the vicious harassment Rauhauser’s “beandogs” inflicted on Tea Party activists in the 2010 TwitterGate scandal. And did I mention that Neal once wrote that he would “pop a cap into Dick Cheney”?

    What a loser.  Can’t keep a job, exwife hates him, lacks a steady place to live.

    Almost ready to take pity on him.  Perhaps that’s part of his hating people.  Makes him almost seem happy.

    Keep in mind, MT, that Neal Rauhauser has a secret life online that we don’t yet know anything about. That was my takeaway from “Persona Management” — Neal must be involved in some extremely hinky stuff to take such extreme measures to protect his secret identities.

    What is Neal hiding? We don’t know. But an obsession with secrecy and deception is not usually evidence of good character.

    Hopefully this html comes out right.

    He showed up in 2008 at “The Oil Drum” site as SacredCowTipper a name  which also appeared at Daily Kos for a while in 2007.

    There is also a company formed with another poster at “The Oil Drum” and this presentation  at a 2008  conference.

    Interesting. Sad. And, not uncommon to see a man flame out spectacularly over the loss of his woman and his family.

    If Momus has been tracking Rauhauser for 2 years, I wonder who else has been, and what are the relationships between Rauhauser and the other side?

    If folks have been tracking him for 2 years or more – Rauhauser is the mole in the other side exposing a very Vast Leftwing Conspiracy.

    There’s something of a disconnect. From RSM’s reporting, I understand him to say Rauhauser is in good with BK, Anonymous, Beandogs, and several other characters. Contrast with Momus, who seems to say that Rauhauser has alienated all of these folks.

    Answer in the next installment?

    BTW, I do hapkido. I want to know what Rauhauser thought he was doing, because I don’t recognize the description.

     I suspect that this is more grandiosity than any real secrets. Though, honestly, were his true secret that he likes being spanked, I’d be neither shocked nor especially inclined to be kind about it.

     We have Neal Rauhauser’s assertions, and we have other people’s observations.

    We can wait and see what shakes out, but were I placing bets – just beer money, not the week’s wages – I’d bet on other people’s observations.
