Time to Ask: What Did Brett Kimberlin Know and When Did He Know It?

FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION
Following up on the tipster who tells Brooks Baynes he has identified one of Neal Rauhauser’s “beandogs” as a prime suspect in the SWATting of conservatives, please take time to examine — also via Brooks Bayne — the e-mail Rauhauser sent to SWATting victim Mike Stack on May 24.
This involves, as Brooks says, a lot of “crazytown” and “paranoia” from Rauhauser, but it also evidently involves a New York City school-teacher named Lane Lipton who repeats malicious falsehoods about me, as well as a repetition of Rauhauser’s assertions that he is privy to information obtained from FBI agents.
How long has Neal Rauhauser been on Brett Kimberlin’s payroll at the non-profit Velvet Revolution? Were Rauhauser’s efforts to influence Mike Stack part of a conspiracy to obstruct justice?
To what extent were Rauhauser’s secretive poison-pen e-mails — including the spreading of defamatory disinformation about me, Patrick Frey and others — approved, authorized and paid for by Kimberlin and/or Velvet Revolution?
Go read that e-mail at Brooks Baynes’s site. Surely, what Rauhauser has been doing for the past 10 months cannot be defended as tax-exempt non-profit “activism.”

From the NR email.
“It’s never been made public, but there were members of Michigan
Militia periodically patrolling the Occupy Lansing camp because they got
a hint I was there”
From the Lansing City Council minutes of meeting 5-31-2012,
http://www.lansingmi.gov/Lansing/clerk/Council_Packet_2012_05_31.pdf
From a letter to the council concerning the Occupy Lansing group staying after a park closed for the night.
“Even though, as Mayor Bernero discovered, Occupy participants are intelligent, informed, loyal citizens committed to social justice and nonviolence, I became aware that the last time two people
attempted to stay overnight, members of the Michigan militia had come and were watching, prepared to defend First Amendment rights with their Second Amendment rights. In my opinion,
this would be disastrous.”
Seems the “Michigan Milita”, if that is who they were, were there to defend the Occupy Lansing people oddly enough.

Is anyone else reading this as diversion and trying to turn everyone against poor Mike Stack? Especially with the later “It’s a guy named Brett Warren” email.
Is anyone believing this? Because I’m reading it as frantic mis-direction, and scene setting.

I’m making a motion that the paranoia dial now goes to twelve. Can I get a second?

Agreed, I’m not buying this new swatter scenario yet.

Mr. Paul Revere linked to a blogspot. It seems that “Momus” has a very hard spot for his candidate for SWATer. Momus is injecting himself into this affair just to cause trouble for his own bette noir.

Seems like a double secret smear. I mean VR is offering 10k for the identity and Rauhauser is an employee.

‘momus’ has a twitter feed and if he is sincere and not motivated by personal animus I’m sure he wouldn’t mind answering some questions ( I don’t have an account). It would seem the conclusion he arrived at is probably wrong, but like Dustin says all tips should be explored. By the way BU has another long winded whacked out screed up. http://twitter.com/#!/momus1978

It may be personal, or it may not. If the guy ran with the Beandogs, he needs to be dipped for fleas. It should be at least as uncomfortable to be an accomplice of Kimberlin and Rauhauser as it is to be a casual acquaintance of Mandy or Patrick or Stacy or Aaron or Ali.
Out them all. I have a feeling there is a whole lot more dirty laundry in their baskets than in our friends’. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. People should no longer be allowed to help the miscreants on one hand and still remain in the shadows. Actions have consequences.
Your expectation of privacy when you post things on the internet is extremely limited, even if you do so “anonymously.”

The only problem is that exposing them all leads to getting lost in the convolutions and confusions, and people only have so much time.

Not really. It’s more a systems engineering question: who is connected to who, how, when, and if the why is not expressed, then it can be inferred.
For example, The Camp of the Saints is linked to The Other McCain through comments, shared commenters, similar/same topics, same blog platform and so on. The purpose is to delight their readers with awesome Rule 5 posts, and reporting and opining.
The diificulty is two-fold: scalability and legality. IIRC, most folks are 6 degrees of separation from everyone else. For folks in Kimberlin’s line of business, and their clients, there are fewer degrees.
Which leads to the legality of it: lawyers cost money, and judges are lawyers first. Kimberlin’s clientele (he don’t work for free) have very deep, influential pockets.
June 17th, 2012 @ 12:21 pm
Lane Lipton may be the easiest link to unravel. As a NYC school teacher, she’s NEA. Likely she’s Rauhauser’s and Kimberlin’s Case Officer with her union employers and financiers.
Dialing the paranoia up to 14.
