Kimberlin v. Walker Hearing Scheduled: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Rockville, Maryland
Posted on | May 26, 2012 | 46 Comments
When terrorist Brett Kimberlin was convicted of multiple felonies in 1981,
he could have been sentenced to 230 years in federal prison.
Convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin’s failed attempt to silence bloggers who tell the truth about Kimberlin’s criminality will be the subject of a court hearing Tuesday morning in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Kimberlin, who in 1981 was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison for his Indiana bombing spree and other crimes, has requested a “peace order” against Virginia attorney Aaron Walker, who says Kimberlin tried to “frame” him on an assault charge earlier this year. The final hearing on Kimberlin’s peace order request — which Walker has described as “frivolous” — is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in Montgomery County District Court (191 E. Jefferson St., Rockville, Md. 20850), according to the court’s official Web site.
Walker, who has blogged under the pseudonym “Aaron Worthing,” gained unexpected national fame as a result of Kimberlin’s ongoing campaign of harassment and intimidation against Walker and his fellow citizen-journalists, including Seth Allen, Breitbart.com contributor Mandy “Liberty Chick” Nagy, Los Angeles deputy district attorney Patrick “Patterico” Frey and even the award-winning conservative blogger known only by his online pseudonym Ace of Spades.
Kimberlin’s misguided effort to suppress the truth about his violent criminal past — including the 1978 terrorist bombing that brutally maimed Vietnam veteran Carl DeLong — backfired disastrously.
On Thursday, May 17, Walker published a 28,000-word account of his experience being targeted by Kimberlin, which soon caught the attention of leading figures in online New Media, including University of Tennessee law professor Glenn Reynolds, who writes the popular Instapundit blog, and bestselling author Michelle Malkin, who warned her readers, “Please remember: Kimberlin is a radical, violent, lying, dangerous felon.”
Reacting to breaking news of Kimberlin’s escalating pattern of harassment, blogger Lee Stranahan declared that Friday, May 25, would be “Everybody Blog Brett Kimberlin Day,” a project that produced scores of posts about the man whom popular podcaster Jimmie Bise Jr. has dubbed “Lying Felon Brett Kimberlin.” As a result of this New Media publicity, both Frey and Walker were interviewed Friday on Glenn Beck’s nationally syndicated radio program.
Kimberlin began his criminal career as an adolescent drug pusher, and was convicted of perjury before he graduated high school. While serving time in federal prison for his numerous crimes, he made headlines in 1988 by claiming (without any substantiation) to have sold marijuana to Dan Quayle. Kimberlin has been described as a “top-flight con man,” in a Publisher’s Weekly review of the 1996 book by award-winning journalist Mark Singer, Citizen K: The Deeply Weird American Journey of Brett Kimberlin. His sole known source of legal income now is two 501(c) tax-exempt non-profit organizations, includng one funded in part by the Barbara Streisand Foundation.
The National Bloggers Club has created KimberlinFiles.org to help call attention to the case and, as the non-profit goup’s president Ali Akbar says, to enable “supporters to make financial donations to a relief fund as a show of support.”

UPDATE II: Aaron Walker notices that Kimberlin’s non-profit is boasting of its recent fundraising success, and Ace of Spades writes:
If Kimberlin’s outfits exist to harass and intimidate people, I would say such a charity is contrary to the concept of “charity.” Certainly the US tax code shouldn’t privilege such operations with tax-exempt status.
What is Kimberlin actually doing with this money?

Tell us if this is going to be a quicky or a hearing of substance. If the latter then as many lovers of free speech from DC/Maryland as possible need to be there to support Aaron.

Check my post for “Blog about Brett Kimberlin Day” for unique info on Maryland’s law on “vexatious litigants.” Kimberlin certainly qualifies, so I hope Aaron’s next move is to file to have him put on the court’s list of vexatious litigants.
The Court prohibits the use of electronic devices in the courtroom, including cameras. Dang.
Even if the hearing is short, I think Aaron would be heartened by having his supporters show up, sit in the court room and take him out for coffee or lunch afterwards.

Wonderful!! Conservatives finally fighting back against crazy leftists.
For too long, leftists/anarchists/Democrats knew they had a free shot against conservatives. They could do virtually anything and nothing bad would happen to them as a result.
We have to show those leftist degenerates that there will be a cost to their bad behavior. Only then will they be deterred and all of us can get back to promoting ideas by debate.

If anyone attends the Kimberlin hearing, try to get some good current pictures of the little crapweasel
May 27th, 2012 @ 2:36 am
Kimberlin is the textbook example of a vexatious litigant, precisely the sort the law was written to thwart. He needs to be so designated post haste.
May 27th, 2012 @ 2:37 am
You need not be tall to stand tall. In Kimberlin’s case, his actual height means little as he stoops so low.
May 27th, 2012 @ 2:44 am
He always represents himself, so he has no cost. He should be designated a “vexatious litigant” – based on his record – and therefore required to post a bond to cover defendants’ legal fees and costs before any filing, and to have any subpoenas or motions approved by an administrative judge before issuance. That would at least block his ability to incur legal costs on those he attacks.

I heard the whole story on Glenn Beck on the radio, this is so awful and shows what a degenerate generation, this generation has raised. It is simply Anti-American. We are all guilty of this God awful, low life scum not being held accountable. If I was in MD I would be there. MD Tea Partiers get there!

Brett Kimberlin bragged in that sappy TIME 2007 biographical write-up “The Wizard of Odd” that he’d ‘overcome his past’ to achieve his new standing as the Left’s pit bull…”Not only did I have to overcome my past, but
I then had to rise above millions of others to accomplish what I have.
That is what makes this story special.”Well, guess what Brett? Your past isn’t ‘overcome’ just yet!
