Hawaiian Nativity Now Seemingly Clear

I’ve always thought the Birther thing was a Red Herring. Now that someone has gone back and done the research, we may need a new category. Call it a deR Herring. Being born in Hawaii was to far from the vein of racial emotion that BHO was seeking to tap. So we have the the literary agent tart up the mundane Hawaiian origin into something that can be mined for racial cred.

But it’s a twofer. After deciding to run for POTUS, the fiction is shed. But the skin cluttering the area becomes a major distractor. The birth certificate becomes to Barack what WMD were to Saddam Hussein: a closely-held card that is really, really driving some among the opposition snaky. Barack has, at least for 2008, maximized the political value of a bogus Kenyan birth claim for support, while turning birth suspicion into a powerful weapon to discredit detractors.

Lies are purely tactical. The entropy they inject into human life requires increasing energy to maintain. At this point, anyone who believes Barack Obama on, well, any count (roughly 1 in 4 think he’s doing a boffo job, according to Rasmussen) is pretty much a fool.

    The publicity department didn’t make it up, they got it from somewhere.  In nearly all cases, that information comes from the author or his agent directly, and is submitted for approval before it goes public. 

    The most logical – but purely speculative based on available information – explanation is that the book was pitched to the publisher on the basis of Obama being Kenyan-born, having had at least at some point dual citizenship through his father.  And this might also account for the fanatical secrecy over his college records, and the oddities of a self-confessed poor student from a small school managing a third year transfer to Columbia (which would normally require stellar grades and more) and a non-honors grad from Columbia getting into Harvard Law when less than half the honors grads typically get in.

    If Obama sneaked into Columbia and Harvard Law by claiming to be a Kenyan student, and accepted financial aid on that basis, it wouldn’t necessarily mean he renounced US citizenship.  If he had exercised US citizenship before, say by registering to vote, his citizenship would be solely American – BUT he would have committed fraud, which he understandably would want to keep quiet.

    But we also don’t know how he traveled to Pakistan in the early ’90s, there is no record on his US passport. Did he travel on a Kenyan passport? He got in and out of several countries somehow, with no known record.

    In this theory, the whole birther deal becomes a masterful distraction, like a prestidigitator’s misdirection, drawing attention away from the real trick.

    More likely he went to Pakistan on an Indonesian passport. I think he got into some of the programs he did as a foreign student with an Indonesian passport as well.

    I think the Birther stuff is something reasonable people can disagree on. There’s enough smoke to strongly imply that there is a fire. There’s an article about this over at American Thinker, and this issue isn’t nonsense.

    I think Ad and Bob are right. Being born in Hawaii puts one in a class with Don Ho (

    Agent: We are very impressed with your book. But to get the kind of press we want, we need to sell the author as well as the book. Can you tell us some of the more interesting facts about yourself?

    Obama (Soetoro): I see what you mean. Well, I’ve lived in a lot of places besides the 57 States. Places like Hawaii, Indonesia and Kenya.

    Agent: Wow, I like it. Good stuff. So you were born in Indonesia or even better Kenya?

    Obama (Soetoro): Yeah, that’s it, I was born in Kenya.

    You have a point.  But this isn’t some travelling carnival where all the ticket buyers tacitly agree to keep quiet about the actual way they did the trick (so as to spread the misery amongst more suckers).

    The “actual” way they did the trick is by hiding the damn birth certificate.  It’s not hiding in some cave like Bin Floatin’.  It isn’t some homeless dude or hourly shop worker’s certificate. It ought to have been resolved by now.

    Yeah, it’s played out in the SCOAMF’s favor, just like you wrote.  We need to pound home the fact that we’ve had an horrific amount of damage and debt crammed down our throats by a man who hides his past, but plans on controlling our future.

    Saw a youtube video suggesting that Blamo is the son of Malcom X.  Pretty convincing lecture.
