    Yeah, but with great artists and musicians, you always have to force yourself to not see the crazy liberalism or outright leftist nonsense.  Santana is a very “spiritual” man, and loves bringing diverse musicians together.  But he likes to blame Republicans for all the pain in the world, and also loves him some (famous murderer) Che Guevara.  Che would have loved shooting Carlos and Jorge if they had been in Cuba during his time.

    In other words, offstage, the man is someone best ignored.  But he is a major talent, and his shows are awesome–as long as you ignore the leftist crap he spouts off at the end.

    He always brings a world-class band, usually populated with guys famous for working with other great bands.  When I saw him in 2009, he had George Duke on keys and B3, Dennis Chambers on drums, and the warmup act was Derek Trucks, who joined Carlos onstage later.
