Is VA Gov. McDonnell’s Regent U. Thesis An Example?

Have you noticed that the Dems keep coming up with some sure-fire talking point, and then the people on the right take it, turn it around, and then just keep hammering it until the Dems beg for mercy? Or, anyway, start trying to change the subject.
Ed Driscoll on Twitter last night:
Politico, emphasis mine:
McDonnell is, in many ways, a perfect running mate for Mitt Romney: he’s a conservative Southern governor with a solid record on jobs and deficits and the near-total trust of the Christian conservative community. The down side is that he’s seriously vulnerable to criticism for his record on women’s issues, starting with the thesis he wrote at Regent University and running up through the ultrasound legislation he signed this spring. In that context, the governor’s record and views on abortion could end up front and center in the 2012 campaign.
As long as we’re bringing up the subject of college work, it would be interesting to see the work of one Barack H. Obama. I heard that BHO’s Master’s thesis had something to do with rejecting capitalism as a “dog eat dog” system, in favor or Socialism, which, purportedly, will reverse the situation.

Reversing dog-eat-dog. Very nice, like wow spelled backwards.

It appears that statesmanship is a dying breed. But I still think there are good people trying to work through a government
that has just gotten too big and burdensome. We get what we ask for, Stacy. The more power in the hands of government, then the more
distrust, for sure. But it seems that most want big government with all
its big welfare programs. More welfare, more graft and
inefficiency…and then, those who wanted the most from government,
complain the most because it is out of control.

If abortion is a central issue this election, we lose.
McDonnell waded into the fever swamps to placate social conservatives and it cost him his VP slot. His approval ratings have tanked in VA, he was REALLY popular until he stuck his nose in this issue.
Sorry SoCons, we’re not throwing this election away so we can talk about your hobby-horse issues. All that will do is make sure the most pro-abortion Democrat in history gets reelected.

It appears that statesmanship is a dying breed.
If you’d said “statesmen”, this would have qualified as a dog joke, but been rejected by radical feminists.
As written, it’s nonsensical.
But we still love you.

You’re blowing by the point of the post, which is:
For every line of attack V from the Left, there should be a reply W in kind.

Why must you hate clear expression of rational thought so much? Why must you be such a Hatey McHaterPants?

And, Smitty, that’s just what’s been happening! War on women answered by Hilary Rosen. War on dogs, answered by #ObamaDogRecipes. Then there was the awesomely fun #ILikeObamaCare hijacking. We just have to keep doing what we’re doing.

Really? Again, or still? Holy crap, the WaPo is more predictable than Old Faithful.

I submit that there are several dog jokes in there.
Her(e) would be a good place to start.

I submit that McDonnell would do more good as Mitt’s campaign manager. He ran a nearly flawless campaign for Governor. It was a veritable clinic on how not to get dragged into talking about what the left in general and WaPo in particular wanted to talk about.

I’m almost solidly behind McDonell for VP, with the one reservation that I haven’t heard him speak, so don’t know how he’d do on the stump. Not that that is the only thing that matters, by any means. If speaking ability were the only thing that was important I’d be solidly behind Chris Christie over and above anybody except possibly Rubio or West. But McDonnell seems like the total package to me, and more importantly would be sure to bring back Virginia, and maybe even help win Pennsylvania and other states.

This really isn’t a man bites dog story…or is it?

Where did you copy this from? It’s an obvious paste job.
Go away, troll.

We should dedicate this campaign to Andrew Breitbart’s memory, and treat every stupid trick the Left tries to pull as just this sort of challenge to be met with an overwhelming response.
We need not only to reply and counter, we need to MOCK them. Obama must be the national joke by November, no amount of Russian gangster money will be able to save him then.
April 23rd, 2012 @ 3:52 pm
McDonnell sounds good. Now what do we do about Romney?
April 23rd, 2012 @ 4:06 pm
Start focusing on electing as many Tea Party people to the House and Senate and for that matter state offices as possible.

That’s typical for Fiscons, not only aren’t they conservative, but they frequently lose touch with reality.

Time for a lesson in game theory?
Go for it! We can handle it.

… reeeel slow.
April 23rd, 2012 @ 5:13 pm
The problem is it’s nearly impossible to distinguish the genuine article until after they’ve served for a while. And then it’s the whole process all over again to get the fraud out and a new fraud in.
Make no mistake the almost Tea Party critter is nearly always an improvement over their predecessor and of course that’s usually enough to keep them in DC for a decade or two.

” I’m almost solidly behind McDonell for VP”
Then you are not from VA.
McDonnell gets the VP slot Romney looses VA. He masy loose it anyway. The toll issue alone has cost him the southeastern part of the state. and that was the only really reliable bulwark against the cancer that is NORVA. One anecdote, a friend who has not voted in several elections punched a hole in the wall when I told him I was voting against Obama regardless. He doesn’t like O but he hates the republicans now with the white hot intensity of a million suns, all because Bobby Mac bollaxed the toll issue.

I can trust that Smitty spent enough time as a dogsbody to be able to use canine terms with authority. So when he writes “dog eat dog,” he knows what he’s doing.

Well, shit, live and learn. I guess its back to Allen West. Or Rubio. Or Portman (getting ready to duck now).
April 23rd, 2012 @ 8:09 pm
It’s asign of the inevitability of Mitt that nobody seems to be shoving forward to ride his coattails to glory. Or something.

Interesting that.

Because, of couse, there’s just millions of Democrats who’d be delighted to switch parties and vote Republican if only the 60%+ of the Republican Party that thought that abortion was important would just go away, right?
Go ahead- dig ’em out and sign ’em up. Show all us social cons up. We’ll be glad to watch you show us how.

When one is a known internet troll (like you), then one must assume the burden of proving authenticity.
In other news, you’re still a dumbass.
