I have been doing research and have learned that many doctors who specialize in treatment of Late Stage Lyme operate on a cash only business to avoid some of the nasty red tape and big nanny state f–kery which becomes a barrier to the doctors ability to do right by his or her patients. And they don’t come cheap — one doctor I called requires a $1500 payment JUST for the initial consult, and requires a five hundred dollar security deposit just to be able to make the appointment! It is obvious that he is not a doctor I can afford to see but I am hoping I can find one who can see me and is willing to treat me without costing a ton of money. I am learning that people with this late stage Lyme have to pay a LOT of money for testing and treatment. Any money I can scrape together towards my health issues is going to be money that would otherwise be used to pay for food and our utility bills here, so I could really use some help. You will be helping to save my life and give back to my family the mom & wife that they deserve.
As someone who’s enjoyed robust health, I can only imagine what this sort of chronic illness must be like.

I have late stage Lyme, too. I’ve given up on the doctors. Going bankrupt while suffering and not ever getting any relief has led me to decide to just try to alleviate myself of the added suffering of bankruptcy…so I don’t go to the doctor anymore for this.

Thanks for the heads up Stacy and Smitty. Come payday this Friday I’ll make good on the “tip jars”. God help us all when Obamacare gets in full swing.

Real suffering. And yet the national perverted version of “Healthcare” focuses on “Contraception” – complete with a massive political kabuki driven by the White House. It’s tragedy on so many levels.

This, and heavy hits of antibiotics. Of course, the problem with the latter is that 1) you never quite kill off all the bacteria, and 2) the ones that are left become resistant.

Thank you, Smitty, Stacy,Wombat and everyone else who is helping and praying for me. I love you all.
The good news is that I found a specialist, who has an excellent reputation, an hour away from my home, and thanks to everybody who is helping me, I was able to pay for the initial visit today. They took lots of blood for testing (my poor arm is sooo hurty and beat up!) and really seem to know their stuff. The bad news is that I am currently very VERY sick with something called a Herxheimer reaction, which is due to me being poisoned by neurotoxins as the antibiotics start to kill the Lyme bacteria and they release horrible evil stuff as their dying and vengeful “FU” to their host victim. From what I read, this is a one of those “it gets worse before it gets better” things and hopefully I’ll be less sick soon, but today is really really bad.
I learned a lot of things today in the waiting room, scary things, like
how one guy was happy that he was “only” paying $1200 a month for his
meds to fight the disease because it is “so much cheaper” than some of
the other treatments! Right now I am finishing the antibiotics from the
dentist for my bad tooth while waiting for the test results to see if I
have co-infections besides Lyme and then we will figure out what the
next step is, but one way or another I am probably looking at at least 6
months of antibiotics (and hoping that I won’t need the super expensive
IV kind).
I will try to update my blog tomorrow to thank everybody who has linked to me and let everyone know what’s going on, and hopefully be able to catch up on the thank you emails I need to send to all the nice people who have hit my tip jar to help me. Thank you all so much for everything. I truly do love y’all.
PS I hope & pray that Peter Datechguy is able to get what he needs, he really is a sweetheart and a wonderful Conservative Blogger. May God bless him.

(((hugs))) If I could find you a good LLMD specialist near where you live, would be willing to try one more doctor? I can try to do a fundraiser to help you get well too. You know I gots mad research skillz, Lisa, and you know I’ll do anything I can to help you because I loves you so much. I hate that you suffer so much and you’ve been so sick for so long, if there is a way to help you I want to see you get better.

I’m donating 25% to Zilla for every purchase made on my site. She has been a friend and a fan who has been generous, kind and supportive to me.
