What is Restoring Love?
Restoring Love will be a reminder that we best serve our God when we serve each other. It is a reminder that capitalism is not about who can make the most money and that charity is not just about giving handouts, but must include a hand-up.
Restoring Love will bring 100,000 people to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and have them serve individuals and communities where the need is great but resources are limited. It is about the recognition that we are all brothers and sisters.

I like Beck. His effort is a pure play to refresh our Judeo-Christian foundations. While I wouldn’t oversell the sacred value of his arguments, the secular value is undeniable. He’s going to end up giving a three day, worked example of what other recent protests, *cough*Occupy*cough*, could do if they weren’t total noise.

Watching his video intro, I was terrified he was going to announce the formation of a political party. Thanks for not going there, Glenn.

Unfortunately, the World’s Youngest Blogger will be celebrating one year on 26 July, and thus really won’t be up to travel.

    He was sort of hinting at something like this with his comments about Adam Smith’s other works (beyond Weath of Nations).  I do not disagree.  We should reach out more (if you need a way to do so, check out your local Rotary, Lions, or other service club).  That promotes good citizenship and good communities on a local level.

    I’m still not sure where he’s going with this.  There’s never been any doubt in my mind that the Christians and conservatives are far more willing to give a hand up (as well as a hand out) than any government I’ve ever been associated with.

    There are two ways to act when things get rough.

    1- Get mad, blame everyone else and spread your hatred (occupy)
    2- Be grateful for what you have, help others that are more needy than you and work harder to get out of the mess you are in.

    Glenn is trying to get as many people as possible to love one another, whether we agree with them or not. Through love we, as individuals banding together, will give a hand up to those in need and remove the dependency on government handouts. That is the way you and I will restore the greatness of this country.
