SANTORUM SUNDAY EXPRESS: Exclusive Video From May 2011 At SFVRC

The San Fernando Valley Republican Club invited Rick Santorum to speak prior to the initial GOP debate. Richard McEnroe, the esteemed vast right wing conspirator who blogs at Three Beers Later has honored this blog with the opportunity to preview the video of Rick Santorum’s speech, to maximize the audience reach.

“A Tea Party kinda guy, before there was a Tea Party”

These videos are useful to anyone interested in getting to know Rick Santorum more. Enjoying these videos while building up the post, I can state without reservation that Santorum ‘gets it’, without the baggage of Romney or Gingrich. I hope that Iowa turns into his campaign boomlet.

Santorum discusses rights, responsibility, the revolutionary nature of the REAL contract with America… and why the Progressives need to break that contract.

The White House views you as sheep.

How to bootstrap a stumbing economy… and who wants to stop us. The Boeing jobs Santorum alludes to may yet survive.

On his opponents, entitlements and how to fix both. These uncapped entitlements mean that we cannot know beforehand how much we will spend on them. The Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB*) is a new cap for Medicare.

Rick talks about races he’s won in the past and why he can win this one…

Santorum offers the base their shot at the media and the party and answers questions.

Thank you very much to Three Beers Later for recording and posting this.

Update: linked by Don Surber, with further Santorum thoughts.

Thank you for posting these videos.  I’ll be linking to you over at my FB page.  People have to start paying more attention to Senator Santorum and what he has to say.

Yes, and, even six months on, this stump is a fine intro to @ricksantorum.

Santorum’s a serious guy, despite my somewhat glib remarks about him on an earlier thread.  Here’s a 63 minute speech and
Q & A session he did at the National Press Club in June of 2006, on the topic Combating Islamic Terrorism:

    http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/193512-1

    C-Span’s description:
“Sen. Rick Santorum spoke about America’s war against ‘Islamic fascism,’ including its roots and influence in Iraq and Iran. He addressed the need to combat the roots of terrorism through public diplomacy and foreign aid, and the promotion of democracy and religious freedom. He
responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.”

Some folk claim Rick is a big gov’t conservative, words that don’t go together.  I’d like to see proof.

The way I see it Pure Fiscon=Governator=Spine of Cooked Pasta=Useless.

If you go into the vids, Santorum talks about taxes and regulatory boards he would eliminate or shrink.

Smitty, from one naval officer to another, why is there “Re-elect Alan Grayson” ads on this site?   Who wants to see that fat, smirking chimps face here?

The main problems with Santorum are that he endorsed Arlen Spector over Pat Toomey in `04, got trounced in his Senate re-election bid in `06 by double digits and that he’s come off as whiny in the debates so far. He did very little to restore his image since leaving office and generally feels like a spent force politically. If he had the stuff to win, in this environment, he’d be winning by now. Shame really, but that’s life.

I don’t even really blame him for the Spector endorsement. `04 was a different time and challenging a sitting Senator of your own party was much closer to “crazy” back then. Toomey was also no shoe in to win in the general that year.

If, in the twists and turns along the way, the GOP ticket ends up being Gingrich/Santorum.  Can you imagine the fury of know-nothingism that would erupt  in the MFM?

I believe the ad service picks up on key words used in postings, and, in this case, subject matter.  Google ads are programmed off your search terms.  I’m still seeing slipper ads here months after I went looking for a pair of Rockfords.

One would hope that Mr. Santorum would stick to his Morality and not partner with such a Worm like Newton Leroy.

I’m just saying, they’re all about understanding and tolerance until there’s a Dem to elect.  I don’t believe any party’s ever run a double Catholic ticket…
