Michelle Fields, Paulbot?
UPDATE: Denial!

She doesn’t go for neocon Beta males, IYKWIMAITYD
Allahpundit would probably headline this story “Heartache.”
You guys remember Michelle Fields, the Daily Caller reporter whom I interviewed Saturday about her being harassed by the OccupyDC mob. After I’d posted that interview, I called her back and suggested she should ask the Daily Caller’s promotional department to pitch her story to Fox News. She was like, “Yeah, I guess.”
(Career memo for Miss Fields: Welcome to the world of D.C. media. If you don’t promote yourself, you’re going to miss out on opportunities because it’s a zero-sum game and everybody else in town is relentlessly self-promoting themselves. Your failure to self-promote will be interpreted as demonstrating naïveté, weakness and/or lack of ambition. Therefore, be confidently shameless and shamelessly confident.)
Anyway, today Michelle was on Eric Bolling’s Fox News show, which confirmed my instinct about the news value of her story. I was Googling to see if I could find video of her Fox appearance and . . .
Oh, my goodness: “Development Manager” for Students for Liberty?
SFL’s “history” page doesn’t convey the organization’s reputation (back in the day) of being a hive of Ron Paul supporters. And this 2010 interview with ReasonTV’s Tim Cavanaugh — when Fields was SFL’s LA regional campus coordinator — further establishes her politics as libertarian rather than conservative:
“Well, actually, gay marriage is one of the biggest issues when I’m talking to conservatives and trying to get them to be more receptive to pro-liberty ideas. They’re not for gay marriage, so it’s really sort of a struggle still.”
Well . . . NTTAWWT. But Allahpundit is sure to be heartachin’ over this.
UPDATE: Miss Fields just e-mailed me:
For the record, I’m not a paulbot.
That sound you just heard was squishy neocon RINO betas everywhere high-fiving each other.

Libertarian doesn’t necessarily translate into Paulbot.
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:40 pm
I saw her interview, she’s good.
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:47 pm
McCain- you’re a hack. How did she in any way endorse Ron Paul?
You are everything that is wrong with journalism, if we can even call you a journalist…which I’m assuming we can’t
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:51 pm
She was kind enough to give you a quick interview, and you stab her in the back like this with unfounded, frivolous claims? There’s a reason you have a pathetic blog and are nowhere near successful as Fields is becoming.
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:51 pm
he’s just asking questions: “paulbot?”
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:52 pm
Queer “marriage” is not a matter of liberty, but of fakery. When a guy can get his boyfriend pregnant, having only male plumbing on both ends, then call me and we can talk. Otherwise such stuff doesn’t even rise to the level of puffery.
I have to say, on Paul’s behalf, he’s the only one talking about what desperately needs to be done to the FedGov to have any hope of turning things around. The rest will be status quo types when we need to take a meat ax to FedGov.

I know that, but I also know that SFL was formed in 2007, when the Ron Paul 2008 bandwagon was beginning to roll. The group was very much viewed as pro-Paul back in the day although, of course, they’re a 501(c) so they couldn’t exactly slap a “Revolution” banner on their Web site or anything.
Is Fields what we’d call a “Paulbot”? I honestly have no idea, which was why I put the question mark in the headline. But I figured it would get Allah’s attention and maybe merit some linkage.
Also: In terms of traffic-baiting, you can’t go wrong with Ron Paul-related stuff. Love him or hate him, he’s very controversial.
But hey, don’t blame me, I voted for Bob Barr!

No, he’s trying to leech off her popularity with an attempt at a smear piece and an awkward freeze frame– but if this is the best he can do, he should go douse himself in kerosene and save his readers some time.
And is that really the worst photo you can find of Michelle Fields? She’s something akin to a Venus, so I must applaud you for even trying. It’s impossible for her to take a bad photo.
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:58 pm
Why all the hate?
November 7th, 2011 @ 6:58 pm
SFL is actually anti-ron paul. They have never hosted Ron Paul and try to distance themselves from Ron Paul supporters. Young americans for liberty is pro-paul, which is why both organizations have a lot of tension with each other.

You’re nothing more than an internet troll. A shameless fame hound that deserves no attention whatsoever. Enjoy your glorified Word-Press blog.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:06 pm
Let me help you out. You don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell with her, so can it.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:07 pm
I love libertine women.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:09 pm
Obviously Clancy is not a Paulbot, or s/he’d have ended with “…read a book!”
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:10 pm
Clancy, You forgot to add:
“We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.”
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:11 pm
Not a Paulbot, but a Paulturd!!!!
10th of this season! Woohoo!
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:12 pm
Clancy, maybe it you defend her enough she will go out with you on that “date” she said maybe about.
Don’t count on getting lucky, but you will be expected to pick up the tab. Pick a classy place.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:13 pm
That was exactly what I was thinking.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:14 pm
Heh. These are ridiculous accusations.
It was mainly about (a) ribbing Allahpundit and (b) finding something new to report about Fields, given that I had noticed that when she appeared on Fox, I got a bump from Google searches.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:19 pm
Some people don’t appreciate your humor, they’ll get over it as I’m sure you have.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:20 pm
I’m not sure I’d have included that open invite.

She is a “Venus”? She is very attractive and I liked her video. But boy Clancy you have it bad.
Have you ever even kissed a girl?
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:36 pm
You understand, “Clancy,” that the e-mail you provided is that of comedy writer/actor Jeff Loveness. So you’re either jacking Jeff Loveness’s e-mail address or you’re a comedy writer who doesn’t understand the backstory of the inside joke, which involves Allahpundit’s shtick as (a) Beta male and (b) enemy of Paulbots.
BTW, Clancy, who — besides you — is claiming that the photo of Michelle Fields laughing is unattractive?
People need to chill out and stop doing the mind-reading game where they pretend to know other people’s intentions.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:37 pm
So…if I get this right…ah…The People’s Front Of Judea hates The Judean People’s Front?
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:37 pm
Not to rip off Lorien1973 over at HotAir.com or anything….BUT!
I’d hit it!
20 minutes wid me and she’d be walking funny and havin’ white stuff runnin’ out her nose. Ha!
*walks off doing that southwest Detroit manly man strut. X-O
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:38 pm
She is, but I hope she’s lost that modern accent.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:39 pm
He’s a reporter, not a journalist.
November 7th, 2011 @ 7:40 pm
Yeah…make sure Mom gives you enough for a decent tip.

November 7th, 2011 @ 7:51 pm
Yeah, but Stacy, a woman who wanted to manage development for Students for Liberty would have to have a story ready in case a scandal from the past came up, wouldn’t she?*g*
November 7th, 2011 @ 8:09 pm
Dude.. Take a Xanax or two to get some sleep tonight.
With a vodka chaser. It’ll help.
November 7th, 2011 @ 8:16 pm
sexual frustration
November 7th, 2011 @ 8:17 pm
And Clancy is a troll, not a commentator.
November 7th, 2011 @ 8:57 pm
Shameless link hound!!
November 7th, 2011 @ 9:00 pm
So she prefers Gary Johnson?
November 7th, 2011 @ 10:52 pm
Clearly something about the above photo of her bothers you. I surmise that its probably similar to the look cheap hookers give you when you take your pants off. If they laugh at it, just imagine how “Venus” would react.
November 7th, 2011 @ 11:38 pm
Wouldn’t that enlarge his carbon footprint?
November 8th, 2011 @ 12:09 am
More like “SFL is libertarian, Paul is a conservative who knows how to pitch himself to libertarians.”
November 8th, 2011 @ 12:44 am
To that accusation, I plead guilty.
November 8th, 2011 @ 12:47 am
I have discovered that “Clancy” is, in fact, a college classmate of Miss Fields. He was therefore perhaps not prepared to see her name used in any sort of controversial way, even jokingly.
November 8th, 2011 @ 7:22 am
As long as they’re not the Popular Front of Judea – SPLITTERS!
November 8th, 2011 @ 7:42 am
Don’t blame me, I was at the bar.
November 8th, 2011 @ 7:45 am
People need to chill out and stop doing the mind-reading game where they pretend to know other people’s intentions.
That’s the way it’s going to be from now on as the Republic disintegrates.
November 8th, 2011 @ 9:13 am
; )
November 8th, 2011 @ 9:59 am
And our theories of Clancy carrying a torch for Ms. Fields go way way up. Maybe he will get that dinner date with the lovely Ms. Fields.
You go Clancy!
November 8th, 2011 @ 1:56 pm
SFL is neither pro-Ron Paul nor anti-Ron Paul. The organization focuses on the ideas and philosophy of liberty. Young Americans for Liberty does a great job on political activism. Each org can focus on their comparative advantage.
