He is categorically against pretty much everything BHO has done, except for greenlighting the snuffing of Osama. Pure, red, foreign policy meat.

Oh, and Rep. West isn’t a fan of #OccupyWallStreet, either. Can’t we all just get along, Rep. West?

Oh no Rep. West is not a 9-9-9 supporter. He wants reform, but more evolution than revolution. I disagree with Rep. West here: we need less taxing power in DC.

    At first I thought Barack Obama was being feckless on withdrawal, but it turns out it turns on hostility and lack of respect by the Malawaki government and pressure from the Iranians–with the deal breaker being a refusal to give immunity to U.S. forces in Iraq…

    So Obama figure, what the heck, let’s make lemonade from these lemons and pretend this is our idea.  Except it isn’t. 

    So it is actually more complicated and crappy than you first thought.  Thanks Barack for fucking things up there.

    And since we are talking West, how about his nemisis (so to speak) Debbie Wasserman Schultz?  I have to say, she is so OTT that she is the gift that keeps giving for the GOP.

    West voted for the Pigford settlement. I guess even the best of politicians have to have one stain, but that was a doozy. And the fact that he’s black makes it look even worse. Unless of course you’re the Chairman of the House Ethics Committee, then it just looks like maybe you should find a different line of work.

    I do not know enough about it.  But if there was USDA discrimination on aid to Black farmers, why shouldn’t they sue (and I am asking a question here, not giving a conclusion)?  Are you against the decision because there was no discrimination (again maybe there wasn’t) or because you do not like lawsuits? 

    Personally I am for getting rid of the USDA completely.  It is one of the most corrupt and counter productive agencies of the U.S. government.

    The problem with Pigford is the vast majority of those who drew money from the settlement had no legitimate right to so much as a dime of it. If you had a few tomato plants in pots on your porch, or a bed of flowers, you could call yourself a “black farmer”. I forget the exact numbers because its been a while, but it was an obscene amount of money. It didn’t really matter if you were a black farmer, as long as you were a black voter. It just helped if you grew something, like for example, grass in your yard.

    Well that is a problem.  If you were not a commercial farmer, how in the hell can you claim it.  It would be like some guy claiming tribal casino benefits because he went to camp one summer as a kid and liked Dances With Wolves*.

    *  Actually DWW sucked.  A Man Called Horse is a far better film.
