I don’t know if I would have Cain as President, but if whoever the next Republican President is doesn’t somehow use him in a major post, it would be a tremendous waste of a good mind.
September 8th, 2011 @ 8:42 pm
Would be nice to see Cain and Gingrich tag-teaming future debate moderators.

Bryan Fischer, the American Family Association issues director who has called for a moratorium on mosque construction in the United States, is also frustrated with Cain’s new dance. “Cain had said that any community which does not want a jihadist-spouting mosque in its community shouldn’t be forced to have one,” he wrote. “And of course, he was right about that, and it’s unfortunate that he has retracted the statement. His bobbing and weaving on Islam is leaving his supporters a bit dazed and is hurting his candidacy.”

In California, McClintock was the better of the two candidates, but people dubbed him “unelectable” and so we ended up with Schwarzenegger, who looked good and sounded good, and was electable – but ultimately, wasn’t really a very good governor.
It’s a lesson we’ll never learn, I fear.
September 8th, 2011 @ 9:11 pm
Cain was right. Sharpton was wrong.
It was the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

I always turn to “Mother Jones” to know what’s going on among conservatives.

Why do we continue to assume that politicians are the only ones who can solve problems? Businessmen solve problems on a daily basis, as a matter of survival. Herman Cain has made a successful career out of it. He’s exactly the man we need in the WH.
I LOVE this clip! These clowns are looking at Herman like chickens staring at a card trick. LOL!

So if that 999 plan could also be an 888 plan, it could also be a 777 plan and a 666 plan. Wait, just turn it on its head and it already is! Cain’s growth plan bears the mark of the beast!
OK, that was unkind. But one of those 9s is a national sales tax. And if we get a national sales tax, do we really believe it will be just 9%? In fact, Herman Can’s growth plan offers 999 as a transition to the Fair Tax, a national sales tax at a much higher but conveniently unspecified rate.
September 8th, 2011 @ 10:56 pm
Newt and Cain’s only shot at getting the nomination assumes that those ahead of them self-destruct. There is still a very important role to for someone. That would be campaigning against the Winston Smith Media. Who ever gets the nomination will need help in fighting this enemy. One of many elements of the Bolshevik war on Humanity that must be crushed utterly.
September 8th, 2011 @ 11:33 pm
Read about it anywhere you like. It’s still bobbing and weaving.
September 9th, 2011 @ 12:02 am
Charles,
Remember that the Founders’ Constitution called for the Senate to represent the States (i.eThe., the state legislatures). No matter what we do at a national level, we will always be vulnerable because the 17th Amendment destroyed a crucial check on the power of the national government.
Repeal of the 17th Amendment, thus returning the bulk of the power to the states, would result in most taxes being collected at the state and local level; the national government would have to exist on the left-overs. Each state would be free to implement their own revenue producing schemes – income tax, fair tax, whatever. The difference would be that people could flee a tax-and-spend state (much as we’re already seeing re California) – now we’re all locked into the insanity.
September 9th, 2011 @ 12:47 am
I’m just saying it’s bait and switch, 999 isn’t his real plan, its just a stopover on the way to his real destination. Put down the 17th amendment and read Cain’s plan.
September 9th, 2011 @ 1:22 am
Couldn’t watch very much of it. This is exactly why MSNBC is no longer on my channel guide list – every single person on the air there is not only dishonest, but arrogantly so. Life is too short. I don’t listen to speeches from idiots like Obama, either.
If they were going to announce tomorrow’s winning lottery number on MSNBC tonight, I’d rather go without the money.
Cain did well in the part I could watch, but sending him money is pretty much a waste at this point. He will not be a contender. That’s just the fact.
September 9th, 2011 @ 2:03 am
Cain’s and Gingrich’s ability to communicate, or better: counter-communicate against the Progressive Talking Heads of economics and academia is needed.
There’s no academic who can stand up to Gingrich. For all his personal foibles, he’s got a first class mind that is well attuned to history and politics.
Cain is awesome as a communicator and a businessman. He has more practical experience than all of Obama’s advisors.
I’m viewing the current field like a horse team for a stagecoach. All strong in their own way, and all egotistical enough to put themselves out there. But there can only be lead horse, and one driver. With Palin driving, the primary will determine who gets the best view from the traces.

September 9th, 2011 @ 5:20 am
Great clip a much see video.
September 9th, 2011 @ 12:40 pm
I just wish people were fleeing California. Unfortunately, that’s greatly exaggerated. Some businesses are fleeing the state, but not enough people have left to change their Congressional delegation or their electoral vote count. It’s still at the same number after the 2010 census as it was after the 2000 census.
September 9th, 2011 @ 1:48 pm
H. Cain is the kind of guy we need leading us – he understands how the economy really works – give me him any day OVER some professor espousing failed theories!
Besides, Mr. Cain does not have to please the nuts that interview him who try and SHAPE him. He pleases voters – the REAL power so long as WE DO NOT PERMIT ‘journalists’ to shape the message.
September 9th, 2011 @ 4:48 pm
Why is Cain not a contender? Because the establishment media tells you he can’t win? Would you wipe your ass when someone tells you to as well? Cain is the most charismatic, successful, dynamic leader we’ve ever had an opportunity to elect for decades. He isn’t owned by special interests, has real solutions, and has the opportunity to bury the race card for generations unifying us all and ending the Democrat’s vile race baiting. And somehow he “will not be a contender” and that’s a “fact”? Congratulations, you’re exactly the sheep the media wants you to be, and if you accept what they say as “fact”, then you are more out of touch than I thought.
September 9th, 2011 @ 4:52 pm
Mortimer, get your facts straight. If you listen to Herman Cain yourself or read his press releases, not what Mother Jones says, you will see that he still denounces Sharia Law and believes it has no place in our country. If a mosque is advancing Sharia, he still thinks a community has the right to ban it. He’s the only candidate to even bring it up as an issue. He hasn’t weaved and bobbed about anything, he only apologized to those who has misunderstand or misinterpreted his words… kind of like “Sorry you don’t get it.” Who else are you going to support? RINO Romney or RINO Sharia-Law-in-public-schools Perry, or maybe Joan Crawford eyes hypocrite Bachmann?
September 9th, 2011 @ 8:09 pm
Why is this man the only one speaking common sense? He ran a business and dealt with all kinds of people, rich and poor. He could not do a worse job than Obama if he tried. At least he has a resume of real work not rabble rousing with the SEIU.
September 9th, 2011 @ 8:56 pm
why any conservative would appear on this circus of a network, is beyond me.
September 9th, 2011 @ 9:22 pm
I think much of that is inflow from the southern border..
And the young and dumb demographic who think by moving to CA will somehow make them rich and well off. (smaller percentage, naturally 🙂

September 10th, 2011 @ 7:51 pm
There’s nothing saying it will be higher, or lower. Cain does not have the power as a candidate to do anything other than make a proposal. That’s what he’s doing. And even if he got elected (and he won’t because the media will not allow him the time to be heard because he’d be the worst nightmare against Obama – after all, how do they use their racist card with Cain?) he still would only be the president and it would take a Congress that would agree to his proposal and pass it as is without changes. Not likely to happen. Give the guy credit for a good idea. You have to start somewhere and this would be a good start. At least he is willing to actually commit to something, which is far from what Obama will do. Obama screams in his jobs speech to pass the bill now, but there is no bill. He’s put nothing on paper. He can’t and won’t. He is the same guy who only knew how to vote “present” while in the Senate.
Cain is the kind of person we need and we can only work hard, hope and pray that he will be able to overcome the biased media, limited funding, and stupid “sound byte listening” voters that he has to overcome.
September 11th, 2011 @ 8:42 am
Flipping libs taking turns trying to catch Cain in their traps. It is too bad they are so smug in their beliefs that they fail to even begin to see the obvious truth sitting right in front of their eyes. They are quick to talk about the poor, but all they can advocate is a continuation of the same failed policies. I also cringe when they point out the black unemployment figures. These numbers are just that, numbers. They fail to show the impact of fatherless children and of the hip-hop gang drug culture fostered by the media. I have watched so many kids either talk about getting on the welfare or making big bucks dealing drugs. Any easy way, but not ever the hard way – by working for it, sweating for it, and waiting for it. They look at the government as if it were their sugar daddy when they want free money and then, when things don’t go their way, it is the government keeping them down.
September 11th, 2011 @ 2:34 pm
You are SO right. It was the media, who gave us John McCain as a candidate – a hero, but the least attractive, both message-wise and in appearance (and you KNOW it matters).
If we want Mr. Cain to win, we’ve got to get out there and support him!
September 12th, 2011 @ 4:00 am
I met Herman Cain personally. He is an honorable man. He is who he says he is. America needs a leader, and Mr Cain is capable, qualified, and courageous to do what needs to be done.
