Herman Cain on Janeane Garofalo: ‘I Wanted to Send Her a Thank You Note’
Posted on | August 22, 2011 | 9 Comments
Left-wing actress Janeane Garofalo told Keith Olberman last week that she thinks someone in the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy — she named Karl Rove, Grover Norquist and the Koch brothers as likely suspects — must be secretly paying Herman Cain to run for president. At the opening of Cain’s new campaign headquarters in Manchester, N.H., Da Tech Guy caught the candidate’s mirthful reaction:
Anyone who knows Herman Cain knows that he is a cheerful, optimistic kind of guy who — having beaten cancer five years ago — is grateful for every new day. He easily laughs off a slur from an idiot like Garofalo.
So who are the secret right-wingers who are paying Herman Cain to run for president? That would be you: Thousands of ordinary Americans, patriotic grassroots conservatives giving whatever they can afford to keep his “Common Sense Solutions” bus rolling. As the Cain campaign said in Friday’s fund-raising e-mail, “even $5, $10, $25 helps” — and they could have added, “helps to drive Janeane Garofalo even crazier than she already is.” You can donate now.

And it goes without saying that if one of those right wing money men and Ms. Jeanane names wish to help fund More such coverage , 40-50K would buy a whole year of it while freeing me from the limits of my driving radius.
Just sayin.

The only thing funny about Garofalo is that anyone at all takes her seriously as either a comedienne or commentator

I wager far more people have seen Garofalo’s latest nonsense reproduced on websites to show what an idiot she is than ever saw it on Current TV.
I understand why Cain would mention it, as he needs all the help he can get, but wouldn’t it be nice to just let Janeane and Keith fade into the obscurity they so richly deserve, and be consigned to future trivia games?

No. They need to be held up and ridiculed as an example of how the Left in general thinks.

I had a black shipmate back in the early 70s that was called a “N—–” in Naples, Italy. He laughed in the Italian’s face. The Italian really was nonplussed then, which set off my shipmate even more. I had to laugh too, the Italians reaction was really funny. The Italian knew enough about English to know what he was saying, yet it didn’t get the reactions he expected.
I’ve had a few black thugs call me what they think are racial slurs, and I would chuckle and walk on. Their mental illnesses are not my problem, and my shipmate had the best reaction to such things I’ve ever seen. Cain has made the same discovery.

The real American left doesn’t think like this.
It’s the wealthy yuppie left looking for easy answers and who can’t admit Obama sucks because they are still doing well.
This group grows ever marginalized but they have a disproportionate voice,
I’m beginning to think Lefties like Janeane are like counter revolutionaries in America who hate Cuba and Castro in that even if the Tea Party takes over they will be screaming Nazi this, racist that, etc
