Romney Shuts Down a Heckler

Posted on | August 11, 2011 | 22 Comments

NEWTON, Iowa
As opposed to the deferential treatment the national front-runner gets from the big-deal national media, Mitt Romney received some good old-fashioned commie incivility from this left-wing pest at the Iowa State Fair — and gave it back in surprisingly feisty fashion:

We conservatives have spent months dissing Mitt as a spineless RINO, so it’s interesting to see how the Left still views him as a right-wing extremist.

Even Romney would be better than Obama.

This heckler looks terribly professional.  I mean, it looks like a professional heckler.

I am glad that Romney dealt with this heckler appropriately.  Yes, despite his flaws, Romney is far far better than Obama.

Was the heckler a leftist, or a Ronulan?

Every Republican runs as a conservative in the primaries.  Romney’s track record speaks for itself.  He’s an excellent administrator and manager, but he’s not a conservative.
And frankly, when I hear him say in Iowa “I’m not going to raise taxes”, the image that comes to mind is of another decent man, a Republican who didn’t care all that much for conservatives, a man who said “Read my lips”.
At this moment in history, progressive light is not what’s needed.

Ever notice that our “fair share” is never nailed down?  What percentage is fair?

What part of our national charter insists that we all pool our money together and then split it up evenly?

‘Historical Materialism’ is Communism.  Our social contract is NOT based on the equal sharing of material wealth.  Our American existence is based on the belief in Individual Liberty.

Here’s an even better question-was he actually an evil ROMNEYLAN? That’s an old trick, sort of like a fake faith healer at a tent meeting planting a seemingly random person with a debilitating disease whom he proceeds to “cure”.

I shall blaspheme for a moment: is it necessary to have a true-believer of conservatism as POTUS, if the Veep, and Senate Majority Leader, and Speaker are true-believer conservatives?

Okay, got my sappy plates on.

According to FNC the moonbats are from a lefty Iowa think tank. I imagine we shall see much more of this the next few months.
I am awed by your gift for conspiracy.

You ain’t seen nothing yet, so buckle up. Here goes-

What lefty think tank? Does it have a name?

You do know a great lot of Fox’s punditocracy could easily be seen as pro-Romney, right?

I used to be “fair”. About five years ago I was “fair” with silver highlights now I’m about 80% “fair” and 20% grey.

The problem with any members of congress or the president not having deeply held fiscally conservative principles, is that as soon as any of them succumb to the temptation to give out the goodies it becomes an avalanche.

Yes it has a name it just wasn’t important enough to remember. It might have gone something like this ruff ruff (sound of bat wings flapping).

I’m happy to see the vigor finally.  Romney may not be as conservative as many like, but he would be much, much better than Obama.
