GOP Shocked as Sex Scandal Strikes Christine O’Donnell Carl Paladino?

Posted on | September 26, 2010 | 38 Comments

Two words you never want to hear about your candidate: “Baby mama.” Unfortunately, we’re also going to hear some words from the woman done wrong by the Republican Party’s answer to John Edwards:

BUFFALO — It was just about a year ago, hours after the death of her son in a car crash, that Cathy Paladino’s husband told her he was the father of a 10-year-old girl with another woman — and that all their children and most of their friends already knew. . . .
Still, she was gamely following the dictate her husband’s campaign staff had issued . . .
“They had three words for me: ‘Get over it,’ ” she told The Post.

So the married New York GOP gubernatorial nominee fathered an out-of-wedlock child with a woman 17 years his junior. All you smart pundit guys, please tell me again why Christine O’Donnell can’t win in Delaware because she told MTV in 1996 that masturbation is sinful.

    RSM,

Doesn’t change his behavior, but slight correction. He is the nominee to lose the race for governor not senate.

Uh, just read the article, and I really think Mrs. P. needs to get a spine.

He’s the GOP Gov nominee in New York, NOT Senate.

Is that going to convince Democrats to vote for him? ;^)

I guess Andrew Cuomo uses condoms with his live in mistress?

    ahhhh, Stacy, apples and oranges.

Christine has to make this on her own, in Delaware, or she doesn’t. New York governor race and Paladino’s problems are pretty much irrelevant.

Sadly, the voters in New York who still care about a Politician’s Marital fidelity are the ones comprising much of Paladino’s “base.” In that state, you might call them the “moral minority,” but hopefully the libturds will overplay their hand and make his base vote for him out of outrage for its hypocrisy…

    @#5, The Lonely Conservative

The Dems, to my knowlege, have never CLAIMED to be the MORAL MAJORITY, THE VALUES VOTERS or tried to IMPOSE their life styles on the rest of us!!!

My problem is not with these fake moralist. It is their HYPOCRACY that should be shameful; do as I say-not as I do! If what they say is not acceptable to them, why dictate it to me???

I consider myself a moderate, and I’m aware that morals don’t balance the budget, but my god. How could anyone trust an adulterer, who is THAT willing to humiliate his wife (and I suspect creating a doormat like that takes years of mental abuse)? What does that say about his ethics?

If people on his own side don’t cripple him as he deserves, then the GOP looks like a party of misogynists. If they do, then the left can depict the Tea Party as a bunch of rabid soc cons. Gah, it all makes my skin crawl.

Having a sex scandal is S.O.P. for NY govs.

It makes Paladino more human and can relate to most of the voters of the state who have their own sexual peccadilloes.

This is New York after all. And if Carl Paladino has only 1 baby momma, he’s way below the state average. But, he’s a hard worker that can improve on this as he cuts my taxes 10%.

New Yorkers aren’t ones to have problems with infidelity honestly bill clinton is still popular around here and new yorkers wanted spitzer to fight the wingnuts and stay in office despite his infidelity.? If they make noise about Paladino’s infidelities they are hypocrites

Interestingly some Crazy Carl supporters I know were some of the most vocal ones calling for Spitzer’s ouster. Now who is the hypocrite? And now he’s complaining because The View noted that he had an illegitimate child?! Crazy Carl, the man biling $10 million in rent from the state gov’t for crappy property in Buffalo is not at all suited to be governor.
