Who Are Christine O’Donnell’s Enemies?
Posted on | September 21, 2010 | 42 Comments
CBS News has this headline:
But who is the “watchdog”? Longtime O’Donnell supporter Jerry Wilson explained this Saturday:
The group in question, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), is funded in part by individuals who are members of the Democracy Alliance. The Democracy Alliance was created in 2005 by former members of the Clinton administration in conjunction with George Soros and other like-minded wealthy individuals, determined to have a greater influence in the political process. Despite the claims of CREW it is non-partisan, its record features far more calls for investigation of Republicans than Democrats, while the Democrats it has asked to be investigated have overwhelmingly leaned toward either the moderate side of things, or been ridiculously easy targets such as Charlie Rangel.
Yeah, there’s a trusted impartial source.
And as Lisa Graas at NewsReal points out, Soros is heavily invested in trying to pass the cap-and-trade legislation:
As Soros stands to gain potentially billions in revenue from Cap and Trade, a pledge to vote against the legislation is a top priority for O’Donnell. How far will Soros’ minions go to prevent her election?
“Ironic” is probably not the right word to describe the fact that O’Donnell — who, if elected Nov. 2, would become the poorest member of the U.S. Senate — is being targeted by a group funded by a greedy billionaire. “Predictable” might be a much better word.
As to the charge that O’Donnell is a “criminal,” well . . .

RS,
Do the Conservatives have a group doing Ethics checks on the Congress? I remember before 94 that there were a few groups that provided that function?
Again, why should any independent trust Soros (who clearly profited when the Economy tanked as he did in the UK and Asia — I hope he gets subpeonad in the nxt Congress)?

uh…breaking the law is breaking the law. The public deserves to know regardless of your “shoot the messenger” attempt. Ironic that the party of responsibility and individuality are always the biggest whiners. Everyone in the media is against you poor saps, eh?

[…] that was never the intention. The intention was to point out the flaws of Chris Coons, in light of the unrelenting and seedy attacks on Christine O’Donnell. Would I like O’Donnell to win? Of course. Can she win? Definitely. Will she win? Nobody knows […]

I’d like to see CBS run headlines that read: Rangel: Clearly he’s a crook
or
Geithner:clearly he’s a crook
or
Waters: Clearly she’s a crook
…….
Why do I hear the distant sound of crickets chirping?
September 21st, 2010 @ 12:47 pm
None of that changes the fact that she is a thief and con-artist who is playing her supporters for suckers.

I’m seriously considering jumping on this stupid train simply to fleece the gullible fools who will throw me their money. I mean, all I’ll have to do is mouth some bullcrap about “lower taxes” and “traditional values” and crap and you guys will throw me your money. Then I can live high on the hog and screw you over again and again and again and you idiots will never ever catch on.

Not that I’m one to let facts get in your way but if I should play the game, What If It Was True, how would it be any different from the other 90 members in the Senate?
(I’m going out on a limb saying that there are at least ten members worth a damn)

“(I’m going out on a limb saying that there are at least ten members worth a damn)”
DeMint and a few GOPers and maybe one or two Dems. My wife worked as an LA for a Dem Sen & said back then Chris Dodd was the biggest crook.

Form the CBS News link:
OD did misuse campaign funds for personal needs. This fact remains the same no matter what silly ad hominem argument you wish to come up with.
Accept the inevitable and save some grief. Right now OD’s supporters look like pure desperate morons.
September 21st, 2010 @ 1:32 pm
Personally i sympathize with OD given her personal financial problems. I think she certainly deserved to use some of that campaign money she raised running against Big Joe as a token GOP scapegoat opponent and all the hours she put in campaigning for a lost cause.
Granted she was amateur (wasn’t smart) in embezzling funds in creative ways using legal loopholes (unlike pros like Rangel, Palin and most politicians), but this doesn’t change the fact that if she broke the law she is a criminal whose place is in a jail, no matter how undeserved and unjustifiable it seems to you and me. The law is blind. And better be.

Except, of course, that if there was any real evidence, she would have been indicted long ago. Only Obama can get away with violating federal election law by disabling donor verification on his 2008 website to the tune of 35 million.

DE-Sen: Fox poll shows GOP teahadists jumped the satanic altar
LMAO!

CREW went after Palin, with the wardrobe, turns out it was quite legal and above board. Rangel, the head of the tax writing committee, forgets
hundreds of thousands in taxable property and
he gets reelected

Actually it isn’t illegal for a candidate for federal office to pay themselves a salary, so long as they aren’t on the federal payroll already. Whether or not O’Donnell did this, and in a proper way, is a matter for the FEC and/or the Senate Ethics Committee (if elected) to sort out. AFTER the election. It took four years to decide that yeah, Clinton took illegal foreign money in ’96.
That’s why you have campaign lawyers – to make sure you are doing everything within the law. Or to make sure you don’t get caught in you don’t.

Same “crew” that filed clothes complaint against Gov. Palin and same “media” will trumpet the complaints against Christine O’Donnell. Same ol’ American people that have more common sense than the same ol’ media crew.
September 21st, 2010 @ 9:10 pm
I really didn’t give a damn whether O’Donnell or Castle won, until I saw how badly she’s scaring the communists like waylay, young4eyes and libarbarian.
Now I know she’s the right person for the job, and can’t wait to see the heads explode on election day!
